Very very new chocolate even no name tag. Yum!
Mari E.

I love this small and bright store. And yes, ice cream too. As my friend is coming to Canada for business trip, I wanted to buy something. But from my experience, Japanese summer is brutal for assortment of Purdys chocolate. So I'm glad to find Ice wine truffles (in case) so that she can enjoy in the hotel room here.

The seasonal frozen bananas are to die for! I crave them on a daily basis no joke. However I find the quality of the customer service not as consistent. I usually like my bananas double coated in the chocolate syrup making it 200% cover in the chocolate, but sometimes I get bananas with little holes without the chocolate. I don't know how that happens with double dippings. Kinda disappointing But when they do it right, it is absolutely amazing and I would rather eat 8 of those than having a cinnamon bun, and I love cinnamon buns

Christmas gift wrap

This place knows all about Christmas. It's so easy to walk into Purdy's and find easy-to-select gifts that you know the person's going to love. It's delicious chocolate -- how can you go wrong? The other thing I love about Purdy's is that they always have chocolate covered ginger, in dark and milk chocolate. I have a sweet tooth on my list and this is his favourite and I know I can always get it here. But there's more ... they have everything pre-giftwrapped in stylish purple paper with a nice ribbon and off give you a contrasting red gift card with your purchase!

We lives in a hotel in downtown area and saw there's a store nearby. Walked over to the address listed on Yelp, turned out it's in a shopping mall CF Pacific Centre. Walked around in the mall and finally found it on the lower level. The address listed on google and yelp says V7Y 1E7, doesn't help at all. There's no samples to try in the store, we just blindly trust it's gonna be good. We got milk and dark chocolate selection for gifts. And got a bar of white chocolate with barley for ourselves. Turns out the barley white chocolate bar is pretty good. Barley is quite crunchy and even though it's white chocolate, it's not super sweet. Was a bit sad didn't try the ice cream, it looks pretty good.

Please note they ship only on Tuesday to US so if you placed the order on a Wednesday, it will wait until the following Tuesday. I made multiple calls, the only option they offered was should we CANCEL your order! Somehow the chocolates reached my child, it was supposed to be a SURPRISE - spent over $150.00 and this is what she received! Don't like to use the word common sense why would you leave chocolates on the door in hot weather with one SMALL ice pack - result is as follows below. No notification on my end or doorbell or even an attempt to THINK these will melt!

They do bean to bar all directly in house which gives it this rich and amazing smell! Was super busy as it is a tiny space, (a few bar style chairs and a couple chairs to wait for your order). Ordered both of the specials on the menu. Loved the pastillas de leches, was a slightly toffee sweet and round flavour hot chocolate, where the ocean mystery offers a little salty flavour from the seaweed balanced well with the zing of matcha and sweetness of white chocolate. Definitely will be back to get some bars soon!

We did come upon opening but it's because it was our last day in the city and we drove to Granville only for this spot. They opened the door and there was no happy welcome. We looked around inside and no samples of anything were offered to us, no info about the brand itself. We had to ask if we can sample just so we could decide which flavors we wanted to take home as gifts. It felt super uncomfortable to keep asking but hey, if each bar is 13 Canadian and I was planning to buy a ton of bars, I'd like to taste test to decide if that's the flavor I want to get. We bought 12 bars and a drinking chocolate. Backstory - my husband is Filipino and we had Kasama chocolate at a chocolate festival and that's how we became fans. We were so excited to visit their storefront location only to leave feeling a bit sad. Probably won't be back. I hope they take more care into making others feel welcomed.

I'm thoroughly impressed by Mr. Haas' background in the chocolatier profession, and it truly shows in his creations. I loved everything I tried when I visited both of their locations, one in Kitsilano and the other in West Vancouver. I also enjoyed their matcha latte, which I prefer to drink unsweetened. I'm already looking forward to visiting again when I return to Vancouver. This was one of my favorite experiences while visiting this lovely city. Even more amazing, if you're on a ketogenic lifestyle like me, their sugar-free chocolates are some of the best you'll ever have. No yucky aspartame. They taste amazing.

Space/location The space is on the smaller side, so it's not ideal for large groups, but it's cozy and inviting, with a few counter seats inside and some patio seating outside. Food and Drinks: The food and service are consistently good, and compared to many other cafés and patisseries, it offers excellent value for money. The hot chocolate and coffee are standout. The lady behind the machine clearly knows what they're doing, because every cup is spot on. The sandwiches can be a bit hit or miss, but our recent visits have been great. The smoked salmon croissant is served cold (they always check if that's okay), and even so, it's one of my favorites. The portobello sandwich, served warm, is also rich and full of flavor. And the cakes and pastries? Dangerous in the best way possible. The kind that keeps you coming back to North Van "just one more time." :)
