I love the ice cream bar and chocolates from Purdys. Hedgehog is my favorite since young. Then I tried the other items and like the mint meltie bar. On my last visit, I managed to snag the Dubai bark which was on a promo price of $15 for 100g just before Christmas. Good price though still expensive. The place is a bit small and when it's packed, it's hard to know which is the line for payment and which is for getting chocolates from the display case. For the chocolate pieces in the display case, I love Turona but I think it's been discontinued. It is dark chocolate gianduja and has crunchy bits in it. Other favorites are the cherry cordial (no sickening artificial cherry taste), whiskey cream and rum eggnog. Pity they are seasonal. read more

Their ice cream is not bad but it is never something that I crave for. The store is small and is located on the Metropolis side on the first floor. I do find some of their other chocolate products being too sweet. I usually tend to stick with teh Hedgehogs only. read more

I was craving for Purdy's icecream this afternoon. Since I was shopping in Metrotown, I bought a Purdy's original icecream bar with dark chocolate coating and peanuts. There was a lineup for icecream. Only one staff served the customers, so she was quite busy taking the orders, getting the orders and collecting money at the same time. The icecream was very smooth and tasted great. The best part was that the icecream was not too sweet. They had 8 different flavours for the icecream. The icecream bar could have white or dark chocolate coating. I tried the icecream cone in the past, so I ordered an icecream bar this time. I liked it very much. The dark chocolate coating was crunchy. I wish the icecream bar was bigger, so I could eat more. The icecream bar cost $5.25. It was a bit pricing comparing to an icecream with cone. I would like to eat their icecream with cone next time. Delicious! It is a great treat when you are shopping in a mall. read more

Worst service, one of the guy whose name called Cole. He should be fired. I went there last Thursday to buy an ice cream. First his attitude was nice, after he gave me my ice cream. I gave him cash and then he returned me back 10 dollars. Right away I asked him to change 2 5 dollars bills, he closed his till quickly. I asked him can I change 2 of 5 dollars, he said he can't do it. This is impossible and ridiculous action that he should be asked to be fired. I love it here! I always stop by Purdy's whenever I am in Canada. They have a huge selection of chocolate treats and other candies. Good for little gifts =). Nothing beats the chocolate dipped ice cream bars though...these are hand dipped! They are soooo good! I grew up thinking that Purdy's was really only for Christmas because that's when we would sometimes get those pretty packages all wrapped up with the gold Purdy's sticker attached to it. It definitely wasn't something available to us on an everyday basis. But that was then.. and this is now. Today, if I crave a piece of specialty chocolate.. I don't have to wait until Christmas. I just march myself down to the shops.. wander around and view the chocolates through the glass case and then hand them my credit card. Some of my favourites are the nut covered chocolates, the mint patties, and caramels... especially the himalayan pink salt ones.. It's a good thing I can just buy one because if I had to buy it in a box.. it would also mean that I would have to eat it all.. myself.. :) They have a nice assortment of boxed chocolates perfect for gift giving as well as individually wrapped bars for a personal sweet treat. A small Purdy's and it is located in the busy main atrium. You will find the popular chocolate hedgehogs and assorted dark and milk chocolate packaged in seasonal gift wrapping. This location is often difficult to navigate because it's so small and it's often packed with people. They also sell ice cream too. Their staff are usually helpful and pleasant at this location. I've shopped here many times and I recently came here to buy a box of chocolates for Valentine's Day and the staff that helped me was polite and friendly. I'm not crazy for their milk chocolate hedgehogs anymore because they're very sweet now, but I do enjoy their assorted dark chocolates and sometimes their assorted milk chocolates, especially with almonds or peanuts. read more

I love dipped ice cream bars, and Purdy's makes a darn good one! We were starving before dinner and needed a quick recharge, and I couldn't help but suggest to my husband that we get an ice cream bar! It starts out as a plain vanilla ice cream bar on a Popsicle stick, and then it is dipped in white chocolate, milk chocolate, and covered in chopped roasted almonds. To die for! Paid $5 for flavorless melting strawberry ice cream cone. No joke when I say it was flavorless it had NO taste whatsoever..the worst part was it was melting faster than I could lick.. five minutes in, it was already dripping down my hand. I've always loved Purdys chocolates but I keep coming back to this location for great customer service. There is a young girl working there who is so friendly and always gives my daughter a sample. The polar opposite of the Granville st location which has terrible customer service. A smiling friendly employee is so important to me. We literally pop in every time we go to metrotown. read more
