Decided to give this place a try - wanted to get something new and read some decent reviews. I'm not sure which burgers those folks got, but the beef burger is tasteless and dry. I don't believe the food was seasoned at all. The bacon on the burger was raw (and I love undercooked bacon) - but that too was tasteless. Also got mozzarella sticks, which were drowning in oil with a cold cup of sauce. The first few sticks were ok, but the bottom few were soaked in oil, and were inedible. The young woman that worked the counter/register was very nice, and the staff overall seems quite pleasant. It's not really their fault what sort of food is produced. I assume it's relatively well known that the meat is dry and flavorless, hence the large number of things you can put on the burger itself. It's a cool idea, but the burger is not at all worth what the cost is. Saw P'unk Burger's deal for East Passyunk restaurant week, and it was such a great deal, we had to check it out! For $15, we got a side, choice of burger, and a shake - can't beat it! We were planning on picking up in person, but it was a dreary, rainy day, and when we realized they had $1 delivery, it was a done deal. We easily placed our order online, and luckily, they had their restaurant week special on the front page, so easy access. I opted for sweet potato fries as my side, the veggie burger with fig jam and apples as my main, and attempted to get their banana salted caramel vegan milkshake for my dessert. A few hours after placing our order, I got a call that they were out of bananas, so they could not prepare my shake as ordered. They did offer to make a salted caramel shake without the banana, which was nice! I was just surprised they didn't have this option given it was a feature on their restaurant week deal. The fries were great - lightly seasoned and crispy enough, although they did get a bit soggy on the delivery, but nothing that wouldn't happen with any other take out. There were a ton of fries, so enough to have a second day! The burger was pretty good, too - I could definitely tell it was non-meat burger, but the consistency was spot on and still very flavorful! I loved the fig jam and tart apple accompaniments, which made for a really nice, fresh flavor and made me feel less guilty for having a burger :) The brioche bun was a great vehicle for the sandwich and didn't overwhelm too much. My husband ordered the Juicy Philly (stuffed with cheddar and topped with caramelized onions and mushrooms). It was delicious but quite decadent (way more toppings than needed... but not complaining about that). I had a more simple burger with vegan cheese and the signature sauce - while the burger was quality, I think without all of the fancy toppings, the burger ended up feeling a little boring/missing proper seasoning.
