We dined in at a nearby restaurant, then walked around seeking Kona coffee. Our suite was ready around 3 PM. The suite was very spacious and I am mostly impressed with the cleanliness. The bathtub did have a ring of discoloration surrounding the drain. I gave my kids showers instead of baths to be on the safer side. I love that there are multiple pools on the resort. Although, I am disappointed that the adult pool closes at 6 PM, which all the other pools close at 9 PM. There is a private beach area, which my kids enjoyed. Beach chairs are $26 each, which are quite expensive. I appreciate the $65 per night dinning credit, which we utilized at the on site market for snacks and water. We enjoyed the brief firework show from our balcony suite. We attended the on site Huli Huli event, which was quite disappointing. I did not enjoy the food and it was pricey. $75 for skewers, corn, and shrimp. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will contemplate on a return visit in the future.

Check in wasn't bad - busy, but it's a resort so expected. The shops are nice to have near. The real issues was within the Rainbow Tower. The elevators are atrocious to deal with. Enter your floor level and it tells you what elevator to get on - you and the 8 other families with 4+ people trying to get in an elevator at the same time doesn't work. So you're stuck on your floor or the lobby for 10+ minutes waiting. Next - the smell of marijuana and cigarettes coming from nearby balconies. We notified front desk but nothing could be done. And finally? The cockroaches that scurried out from under the ice machine on the floor. The picture obviously isn't inside - but it's a cockroach nonetheless the less.

She last visited 5 years ago with some girlfriends and always spoke highly of the property and hotel. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon for our 9 day stay. Immediately I noticed that every employee I contacted went above and beyond to greet me and make sure if I needed help they would handle my situation. Staff here from valet, pool staff, housekeeping, bell desk, hotel check in, and even landscaping are well trained and operating on a higher than 90% of hotels out there. This level of service continued from our first to last day folks. Wendy our housekeeper was awesome and remember to tip appropriately! I want to talk about a common complaint I see in the reviews. Cost. I hate to slap you in the face with this but prices aren't what they used to be. Yes, this is a very expensive property. For us, it was worth the splurge that maybe will only be done every 5 years, but there's a reason for the high price. This hotel is roughly 2,500 miles away from the continental US and in my opinion one of the best ocean front properties in the world and you have to pay for that. If you are going to complain about cost then please stay home. Everything on an island that isn't naturally there has to be shipped there. So cost is obviously higher. I was last in Waikiki in 1995 as a child. I remember it then and seeing it again now was amazing. The food, city, and the ability to rent a car and leave the city in a flash is something unique in this paradise. The Sheraton adults only pool and the views that the ocean side hotel rooms provide are unparalleled. The kids pool is also above and beyond for the under 16-year-old age group. God speed Sheraton Waikīkī, I will return.

They refused to serve us food at the pool, saying it was "dinner time" even though it was just 5 p.m. When we went inside and asked to be seated at the restaurant- they refused again, saying we didn't meet the dress code--even though it was still early evening. This was the only restaurant/dining option at the hotel, I have to take a shower change and and then I can eat something at the hotel .. where I The worst part was the extremely rude behavior from both the restaurant manager, Cassidy and another staff member, John. I told then if I change I can go outside of the hotel with lots of options and the guy (John say 2 time back to back we don't need you to come back hear , Both had an incredibly rude tone and displayed a lack of respect that should never be seen in customer service, especially from managers. After this, we left, and we couldn't enjoy the beach or pool for the rest of the day. Essentially, our entire day was ruined. A hotel should offer at least one casual dining option for guests, or they can have a section at same restaurant at least till same time as pool are open this was a huge disappointment. (0 star ) Hotel guests should be allowed to have food and beverages at anytime.

A perfect location right across the street from the best part of Waikiki Beach, steps away from beautiful Kapi'olani Park and the zoo, close to fantastic shopping and dining, but slightly away from the most crowded parts of Waikiki. It is a sanctuary in the midst of Waikiki. But what makes this hotel special is the staff. Every single staff member we encountered was amazing. From the front desk staff, to the servers in the Kuhio Grill at breakfast, to the housekeeping staff, to every security and maintenance person we encountered, we were greeted warmly every single time and they were all beyond friendly and helpful. A very special shout out has to go to the Asst Front Office Manager Lloyd. Words can't describe how friendly, helpful and compassionate he is. We were in a difficult situation and he helped us beyond belief. What an asset he is to your hotel - he is the best I have ever encountered at any hotel anywhere. If I could give 20 stars, it still wouldn't be enough. This is a first class, beautiful hotel. I will never stay anywhere else in Waikiki and I highly recommend you choose the Waikiki Beach Marriott for your next stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful in trying to accommodate us. They gave us a number to text them if we needed anything and responded pretty quick every time. I booked a city view room with two queens and sofa bed. To our surprise, we got upgraded to partial ocean/ mountain/ and city view with two queens and sofa bed! The room is very spacious, even after pulling the sofa out into a bed. Very clean too. I liked that the sink/ mirror area is separate from the toilet/ shower room. They use community-style body wash and shampoo/ conditioner fyi. Super strong water pressure. There was not a lot of lighting in the room so I found it very difficult to do my makeup :/ They have a mini fridge but it's not very cold. AC worked great in our room! Plenty of space to store belongings including a closet, drawers, and a safe. Housekeeping comes almost every day to do light stuff (like make our beds and change our trash) and do full housekeeping service every 3rd day. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because they offered complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is located on the third floor by the pool area. They switch food items everyday. Something unique is they offer rice and miso soup with toppings such as kimchi, tofu, and pickled cucumbers. There's also cereal, yogurt parfait bar, bagels/ toast, juice, and coffee station. Seating is outdoor by the pool or indoor by the lobby. They have a microwave with plates and utensils in the lobby too! It was really nice that we got to heat up our own food since most hotels don't have microwaves available. Definitely take advantage of everything that is included in the resorts fee. Everyday, you get $5 credit from The Placery (their mini bar/ restaurant to the right of the front desk). A lot of items on there are quite expensive so usually we'd just get a water bottle or soda. This money does not roll over to the next day so make sure you use it or lose it. They also gave us two free reusable water bottles with Hyatt Place logo. I like that they have free filtered water dispensers for you to fill up in lobby and gym. You get a card during check in to rent beach towels and also beach chairs for a day. There's a small pool and free gym on the third floor. Laundry room is next to the gym and it's self-service. They also have detergent and dryer sheets for purchase but I recommend just bringing your own. It was quite frustrating paying for detergent because it wouldn't read my card at first and took a couple of tries. Same with using the washer and dryer machine. It's $4 per load but there's a sign saying it'll show as $8 per load on your card and will process back that $4 after a few days... which is very strange. Washing machine but fine but dryer sucked!! We had to pay multiple times because our clothes would not fully dry. Eventually, we just gave up and air dried our clothes in the room which was extremely inconvenient and annoying. This hotel is conveniently located on Kuhio and 5 min walk to Waikiki Beach. Next to the lobby is a Domino's Pizza. Down the street is an ABC store and a couple of restaurants. If you want to be central to Waikiki shopping area like International Marketplace and Royal Hawaiian shopping center, it's at least a 10 min walk for those who don't mind walking. We personally liked the location because it's closer to the beach and on the quiet side since it's on the end of Waikiki strip. Parking in Waikiki is such a pain in the butt. Here, they only offer valet parking and it's $63 before tax. It's also first come first serve so if you come late... you have to find somewhere else to park. The street its on is also a one way street so if you miss the entrance/ drop off area, you gotta circle around to get on the same road again. We parked at the Banyan Waikiki garage because it was a little cheaper (see my other review on that for more info). I also heard some folks park at Honolulu Zoo because it's $1.50 per hour but there's also a 4 hour limit and depending on which machine you pay at, some may or may not text you for you to extend the parking time (which is up to 24 hours.) During our stay, they had signs everywhere in that lot that they're doing some construction and don't allow overnight parking. There were plenty of cars but we didn't want to risk it at the time. Overall, my family and I had a great experience at Hyatt Place Waikiki and would definitely book this place again. Great customer service, clean and spacious rooms, complimentary breakfast, microwave and fridge access, free wifi, and very close to Waikiki Beach. The cherry on top was getting a free upgrade to partial ocean/ mountain/ city view balcony room with sofa bed!! Parking was bad but so is parking everywhere in Waikiki.

I did appreciate that they offered pool and beach towels, which was convenient. The biggest issue, and the reason I wouldn't stay here again, was the valet situation. It was basically non‑existent. By our second day, there was still no valet availability at all. We were told to try again around 11 AM, and even then, no luck. Valet is $60 a day, yet it was never actually available. Instead, they hand you a map of surrounding hotels and parking lots you can try to get into, all ranging from $45-$60 a day as well. So for our entire stay, we ended up parking at a neighboring hotel because that was our only option. As for the room, the view was mostly blocked by other hotels -- we stayed on the 10th floor -- so don't expect much scenery. It's a decent hotel, but for a Hyatt, I definitely expected more.

I have not had a bad experience in over 20yrs. Slight hiccups but were rectified asap and was not this bad inconvenience to the vacay except this trip. Had to do an emergency stay at a Motel 6 and Motel 6 was 100% BETTER than this place. We expected the out dated room and tower and elevators from the reviews. When we arrived, we sure did not expect what we walked into..... Once arrived, parking was for a compact we had a sedan. Who goes to hawaii to rent a compact? Elevator smelled moldy- health hazard & definitely breaking a lot of codes. Room smelled of smoke. Rusted medicine cabinet, Mold on the shower curtain, shampoo was half full- just one set for 2 ppl, all the bathroom amenities were in the bathroom cabinet floor, not on the counter like the picture, Medicine cabinet qas rusted, blow dryer did not work. One bed had a skirt that was dirty, other bed had no skirt.  Closet carpet looks like it has never been vacuumed and smelled stuffy and the safe had a lot of rust on it. Cable did Not work, tried to schedule someone to take a look at it over the phone. We gave a time and had to tell them we do Not want anyone coming in while we are not there. They were not able to find 'local' help nor bothered to reschedule when we asked if someone was on thier way. Never rcvd parking pass even though we informed them to just slip it under the door.  Parking pass was supposed to be w the person who would help w the cable. So much more disappointment...we did send our concerns to Vacasa Guest services with pictures. We decided to only use the refrigerator and keep things to the areas we wiped down. This tower is a health risk and am sure it has a lot of code violations. For the $95-99/4 nites it came out ~$800 NOT including parking another ~$140. You are better off booking w hotels.com or rabbit or expedia. For the same price you would NOT pay $800 AND you would have clean, healthier rooms/ building AND customer service on site. We did report quite a few MORE things and took pictures and did send them to Vacasa but no type of compensation for any of the inconveniences. One of the replies were, "I  have reached out to the local staff for your concern. Rest assured that this will be rectified." We assure readers- a day after the trip this had NOT been rectified. Had to put 1 to post. Should be negative rating.

Yes it is valet parking which requires you to plan 10-15m earlier as they need to go and get the car around the corner. The room was as the pictures stated. There does not seem to be remodeling going on. The elevator requires your room key for an added layer of security. Front desk was welcoming every day as you came in, normally with the generic "welcome back" but nice not to be ignored. The rooms have the electronic key if you prefer. The cleaning happened every other day, so if you drink their room coffee, they only put one out. Recommend they place 2, otherwise you have to find a cleaning lady to get more coffee and cups.
