I'll start it with this.....you get what you pay for. Finding a room in Waikiki at or below $100 looks like a good deal....until you realize why the price is that low. I booked this place through Expedia. What went right: + The View!! Amazing! Pic is from the 36th floor + Kitchen with stove and utensils. Good if you are here for a while. No so much: - The check in process. Even after booking the place you have to fill out more forms and send it back for approval. Found out it was needed when I got there. I was in a time crunch and needed to be somewhere. 10 min delay... - No parking. It's advertised that Parking is available but you have to reserve it way in advance. I had to park a block away. - No front desk. You pick up your room key fob from a lock box. - Only one of two elevators are working. My longest wait for an elevator- 10 mins. No warning from the hotel when you book the room. - Dirty Towels. If they bleach can't get rid of it throw it away. See pic. 2.5 stars Rounded down to 2. Would've been rounded up for the view but the delay and inconvenience bumped it down.

The Waikiki Marina was an exceptional place to stay for my wife and me. We were a bit skittish after reading the reviews here on yelp, however after a week's stay we both discussed how the yelp reviews were absolutely not accurate!!! How disappointed we would have been if we didn't get to experience the views from the unit and the amazing location to all the beaches, shops, and dining! We will definitely be back!

This dirty lumpy mattress with no sheets no pillows and no blankets. It was covered in stains and food crumbs.

If I could give this zero stars I would. NEVER STAY HERE! This building is an absolute dirty slum! We arrived and they gave us the wrong room with not enough beds for all of us to sleep. They only have one elevator works. That one elevator breaks constantly! the shady slum lords expect their residents to climb the stairs. There is 40 floors! As we were climbing 9 flights to get our stuff 7-10 firefighters were running up the stairs to the 34th floor trying to save someone! Poor firefighters. These managers should be held accountable for their negligence and this dangerous slum they are running.

This is at eye level from out window.. almost no view after being told we would have an ocean view on the phone, just garbage

Do NOT stay here. Horrible horrible hotel. Would never recommend to even my worst enemy. -First clue of issues: There is no front desk or lobby. The clerk sits outside with a clipboard to check you into your room. -you must pay a $25 valet fee to park overnight -We were told we would have an ocean view.. out view is of literal garbage at eye level on the building in next to us that is almost completely blocking our view of the ocean. -rooms are extremely outdated with broken fixtures. -We immediately went back down to complain and were told that we could leave but would have to drive back tomorrow to try and receive a refund and that although we didn't spend more than 5 mins in the room we would not be garunteed a refund.

The view was beautiful, but upon check-in it was done in the parking garage, they had a park bench with a roll-a-Dex with hand written information. The $200 deposit was explained as a hold on the credit card not a charge right away, so that was misguided information. Once we got to the elevator only one was working, the stopped before our floor and froze. Had to walk up several flights to get to our room (which was ok but had a child and suitcase). Got to our room and the key would not work until after several minutes. Once we got into our room and the bathroom was dirty towels were stained and when requested new ones they wanted to charge us for more. Cleanliness is not their first priority. Elevators still are not working. It started out horrible, but we have had lots of laughs but would not recommend this place

Great location, but no pride of ownership. Place is a shit hole. Elevators don't work, rooms filthy w boogers on the walls and pictures, rusted fixtures, filthy, filthy pillows and floors. Do yourself a favor...stay somewhere else

Not sure where to start. Im from Hawaii and my experience in this hotel was the worst. DO NOT STAY HERE!! First, this is a review of the physical hotel itself. The ladies who helped me were very nice and responsive. Some context. I was the on business and given a room on the 32nd floor. There are 4 studio rooms on each floor. Super tiny and not recommended if you have problems with tight spaces. Bottom line....this hotel is OLD and poorly maintained. There is one elevator working and the other is out for maintenence. Ive ridden in helicoptes and jets before with no peoblem. The one working elevator scared the shit out of me each time i rode it. It was the size of a coffin and shook and squeeked. The door slammed each time it closed. To make it wost, you are outside the building with a glass window. Each time I went up to my room I felt like Charlie on the last seen of Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory when the elevator shoots out of the factory. Oh, forgot to mention. Because of the one working elevator for 30 floors, the average wait time is 40 min during peak time. Other than the 1st floor, there are no floor indicators on the upper floors. So you have no way of telling where the elvator is. You just sit and wait. I walked down 32 flight once and started leaving the hotel at 5 am to make sure i got out on time. The room! One word "condemned." The bathroom was distgusting. I ended up showering at the base gym where I spent the day. There was mold and mildew over the whole shower. The toilet was stained and would run all night. The toilet paper holder busted. The counter tops were water damaged and had mold. The cabinets made of plywood. The floor in the room was slanted. There was a short in the light switch and I had to jiggle it to make it work. The cabinets were rusted. The room smelled damp and musty. The pictures i am attaching do not capture everything but hopefully it will convince you that if you are traveling to Oahu, there are better places to stay. Also SAFER and cleaner places to stay.

Do not waste your time here. Only one elevator working and room is dirty. Only good thing about our trip was the view. Some of us who were on the elevator thought we would drop to our death because it was jerking. They mentioned to waive our resort fee but they didn't. No front desk and no immediate help. Leaking shower. The toilet half scrubbed. The rug feels dirty. Dirty towels in the cabinet under the Air Conditioner. Expedia forced us to book before we could review! We had to run down 36 flights of stairs because we had an emergency and the elevator never made it to us. We had to walk back up upon coming back from our emergency.

A notice about the elevator situation.

Many things went wrong during our stay here. Prices at $150 per night through an AirBnb rental, our 17th floor unit was very small, in need of some maintenance, and not the cleanest place. And then there is the rest of the building, which is described quite accurately in many of the 1- and 2- star reviews here. Specifically, the listing we booked did not accurately list the elevator issue and with My recently injured foot/leg, the stairs caused me to actually aggravate the torn tendon. Additionally, we requested an adjustment to our accidentally booked last day, which ended up not having any water (The building shut down all water from 9am-4pm). So no shower or refresh before getting on 14 hours of plane travel. Finally, both the major and minor maintenance issues throughout the condo and building where just too much (the towel bar fell down, the shower curtain rod was not properly attached, the bathroom was not properly clean). Although we shared our concerns throughout our stay, were met with excuses instead of solutions or offers of reimbursements for the inconveniences, or even an apology. Good luck staying here - it is best for folks that don't mind walking 20 flights of stairs and can live with just about any condition.

Came to visit my sister while she staying at this place and it was very very dirty! She has small children and it had exposed wires and a outlet that was popping off the wall and there was MOLD growing on the shower wall and dust built up on the wires where the TV and icebox was plugged. When we pulled back the sheets there was a part of someone's false eyelashes which made me feel as if they just dusted off the bed and remade it with the same sheets and btw which looked old and worn out. Only one elevator work and which took forever to get to your floor since the hotel has its usual residents so alot of people waiting.

First of all looking for this hotel was a bit confusing you had to check in through another hotel which made the wait a tad bit long. Staff is real great and friendly. The pool and tennis has court is nice didn't get to swim though. Going into the room nice view, loved the kitchenette and it also had everything needed which was very handy. Had a flat screen tv to the wall so it wasn't so bad afterwards. The view from the floor was very beautiful watching the sun go down and watching the sunrise was a bit nice out. Bad things are the AC was a bit loud it's very disturbing when your trying to sleep at peace and the dang AC makes louder noise then the tv they should really fix it and one more thing there was noise in the bathroom all these noises just mad the stay a bit hard to relax in. If I came I would again and had the same problem with the AC I would definitely ask for another room because it's extremely loud. I would recommend this hotel to a friend if they were just to rest or chill it's near Ala moana so very convenient.

I can't even begin to lie and say that the views from this hotel, if you can really call it that, were not very nice, because they were, but that is all they have to offer. I checked in late Sunday night after performing my best man duties fro my two best friends wedding at Secret Beach and attending a luau at Paradise Cove. The first red flag should have been all the trick photography, my friends showed after we had to book a last minute room for me. The next re flag should have been the fact that there is no such location. This place is more condos, than it is a hotel and some of the "rooms" they show are of condos that are rented by the owners of each condo, not the so called hotel. Check in is crazy, because there is no check in desk for this location. You must check in at another hotel, which means lugging your bags up a flight of stairs, then back down to the very back of the lot. You're handed a door clicker that looks like a car alarm device. It was late and I was tired, but there was only one elevator working with 11 people waiting in front of me. This is when i learned that these people lived in the building and they were more than happy to give me all the dirt on the place. Like "bed bugs" "mice" and having to wait long periods of time for the elevators. They even warned me about flooding. I waited 15 minutes before I was finally able to get on the elevator to the 35 floor. When I walked into the rood it was hot as hell, so right away I looked for the air conditioner, I was shocked to see the old school square, accordion style unit mounted with wood in the corner of the window. I turned it on and right away I saw the light that says "service filter" come on. After 45 minutes at the lowest setting, the room was still like a sauna. The toilet in the bathroom was filled with water and had human waste in it. I called the front desk and I was told it would be taken care of in the morning. There was only one towel in the room. The bed was horrible, I could feel every single coil and wire in it. It was like sleeping on two stacked box springs. There were no cover on the bed, just sheets and no cover were located in the room The next morning when "house keeping finally arrived they acted surprised that someone was in the room, telling me that were told i was moved to another room. This is when I called the front desk (other hotel) again. That was yet another problem. In most hotels you simply dial the front desk by pressing 0, but here I had to make a phone call. Again I was told it would be taken care of. By the time I came back from a full day of exploring the counter was filled with water and the floor was soaked. the toilet had once again overflowed, but this time the wall had water running down it. You could actually here the water collecting and dripping in the space above the toilet. The shower only gave nearly cold water and again there were no toiletries left in the room. However there were plenty of towels which I had to use to soak up all the water on the floors. By morning water was leaking from the ceiling in the main room and running down the counter near the microwave which also did not work and seeping from behind the mirror. Calling the front desk was no longer an option because now the phone in the room did not work. I called my friends Tina and Andy who stayed at the Prince across the street and told them what was happening. I checked out two hours early to join them in their AWESOME hotel. This place is a complete dive, the hotel manager would not come to the front desk to speak with me and they refused to give me a check out receipt. One of the guys was in such a hurry to get me out so others could not hear my complaints, but two couples checking in asked me and I was all too happy to tell and show them what took place my two nights. If you find yourself in Waikiki, this place is not where you want to stay. No matter how cheap it is or even if they give it to you for free. I will post the videos to my youtube channel

Halepuna Hotel This…read moreis a review of my experience staying at the Halepuna Hotel, located in Waikiki. I booked my stay via Costco Travel recommendations. WORDS TO DESCRIBE Halepuna Hotel: Modern, clean, safe, economically and environmentally friendly (bamboo room cards, water dispensers for your reusable water bottles), bright, airy, quality service in hospitality and room service LOCATION I loved staying at the Halepuna Hotel. It was centrally located at the beach walk, so ABC Store, shops, restaurants, and the beach were all within walking distance. *It was difficult finding the location of the hotel, when we first arrived. There was no big sign that you can spot, while you're driving, so my landmarks I always looked for were the ABC Store and Denny's. STAFF/SERVICE: Everyone that we came across during our stay was very friendly, generous, kind, and attentive. A shoutout to the Valet Service crew, especially RJ. He gave us recommendations for where to go. He always made us smile and laugh with his jokes. Thank you Uncle! AMENITIES: ROOMS Our room was equipped with charge stations-usb and usb c compatible plugs, ironing board/iron, mini fridge, ice bucket, tea kettle, and coffee maker. BATHROOM Well stocked with towels, a drying cord, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I appreciated that instead of your standard toilet, the hotel had bidets! *Great water pressure for showering. The tub was also spacious, if you wanted to take a bubble bath. 8TH FLOOR GYM-Equipped with a lot of machines Water dispenser Additional restrooms/shower room LAUNDRY ROOM is open 24/7 There are 3 washers and 4 dryers You can pay using your credit card or download the WASH CONNECT app *Friendly suggestions: -As a guest, bring your own laundry soap/dryer sheets--or go to the ABC Store if you forget your laundry supplies -Make sure to clean the lint trap before you put your clothes in -Put a timer on your phone to check on your clothes GARDEN -Serene, tranquil, peaceful, spacious -------- Friendly Suggestions for Halepuna Hotel -Have a big sign stationed outside the hotel, perhaps elevate the height of the sign and add lights to it, so it's easy to spot for first time visitors ------- All in all I enjoyed staying at the Halepuna Hotel. From the moment we arrived, Grace went above and beyond to make sure our check-in experience was seamless and welcoming. Traveling with elderly parents can sometimes be challenging, but she handled everything with such patience, warmth, and genuine care. This hotel deserves more than 5 stars!…read more We've never been so impressed with a resort on the islands that we would think about going again in the same year! Great location, very accessible to stores and the beach, and also secluded in a sense you're not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. We came as a family of three. Not only did they gave us a warm welcome, but they provided plenty of accommodations for our baby. A baby robe which was the cutest, but also a diaper genie baby bath tub and toiletries. We were so impressed! The room views were amazing and our room was upgraded which was a super plus! Breakfast was amazing! Our favorites were their mochi pancakes. They did have construction during our stay, but nothing to really get in our way. The service and accommodation were amazing! Thank you for our great stay Ka La'i! See you hopefully soon!

One area that still needs improvement is the elevator--it could be much quieter, and the system would benefit from modernization, particularly allowing floor selection at the entrance. Renovations are still ongoing, so access to the pool is limited. That said, the pool itself is small. If a large or resort-style pool is a priority, this may not be the best choice, and you may want to look elsewhere. What I truly love about this place is the "calm." It's ideal if you want a quiet stay and plan to spend most of your time relaxing in your room from the lanai.

Aloha Yelpstars, I'm a little confused by some of the Sheraton Waikiki ratings…read more Let's get into this... For my wife's bday celebration she chose to return to the Sheraton Waikiki. She last visited 5 years ago with some girlfriends and always spoke highly of the property and hotel. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon for our 9 day stay. Immediately I noticed that every employee I contacted went above and beyond to greet me and make sure if I needed help they would handle my situation. Staff here from valet, pool staff, housekeeping, bell desk, hotel check in, and even landscaping are well trained and operating on a higher than 90% of hotels out there. This level of service continued from our first to last day folks. Wendy our housekeeper was awesome and remember to tip appropriately! I want to talk about a common complaint I see in the reviews. Cost. I hate to slap you in the face with this but prices aren't what they used to be. Yes, this is a very expensive property. For us, it was worth the splurge that maybe will only be done every 5 years, but there's a reason for the high price. This hotel is roughly 2,500 miles away from the continental US and in my opinion one of the best ocean front properties in the world and you have to pay for that. If you are going to complain about cost then please stay home. Everything on an island that isn't naturally there has to be shipped there. So cost is obviously higher. I was last in Waikiki in 1995 as a child. I remember it then and seeing it again now was amazing. The food, city, and the ability to rent a car and leave the city in a flash is something unique in this paradise. The Sheraton adults only pool and the views that the ocean side hotel rooms provide are unparalleled. The kids pool is also above and beyond for the under 16-year-old age group. God speed Sheraton Waikīkī, I will return.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while many aspects were excellent--like the fantastic service,…read moredelicious food at the restaurant, and a beautiful pool area .( 5 star ) No water at the room and store is not open 24 hour , if you come back hotel late night you have to go to the room take a bottle and come back outside fill the bottle. we had a very disappointing experience with the restaurant staff. They refused to serve us food at the pool, saying it was "dinner time" even though it was just 5 p.m. When we went inside and asked to be seated at the restaurant- they refused again, saying we didn't meet the dress code--even though it was still early evening. This was the only restaurant/dining option at the hotel, I have to take a shower change and and then I can eat something at the hotel .. where I The worst part was the extremely rude behavior from both the restaurant manager, Cassidy and another staff member, John. I told then if I change I can go outside of the hotel with lots of options and the guy (John say 2 time back to back we don't need you to come back hear , Both had an incredibly rude tone and displayed a lack of respect that should never be seen in customer service, especially from managers. After this, we left, and we couldn't enjoy the beach or pool for the rest of the day. Essentially, our entire day was ruined. A hotel should offer at least one casual dining option for guests, or they can have a section at same restaurant at least till same time as pool are open this was a huge disappointment. (0 star ) Hotel guests should be allowed to have food and beverages at anytime.
