the additional parking if it is full.

the manager Arin is amazing!!! she was able to let me do a cash deposit to check in because my card was max for the day lol. thank you sooo much for that!!! i had two rooms booked for my family. she was also able to put on same floor at check in. only problem we occurred is the valet parking was full and it being $55/day is let down. we had to find the additional parking lot, and doing so damaged our car in the process. "Waikiki parking garage" is what you should search for instead of typing in the address the guy sent. it will navigate you towards the the parking across street instead. the coffee/bar store is located in the lobby. happy hour is 12-6 so thats nice. i came after 6 so for two drinks it was $47! i asked again if that was correct, and i opt out and bought one lol. thats club drink prices!

I came here to see the CIRQUE DU SOLEIL ʻAUANA show. Once you find the open area that has a giant and long escalator, that's the entrance. After you ride that up to the lobby area, they have some different stores. They had a bar, food place, help center, and then the theater. They sold popcorn at the bar and it was $10+ for a tiny box. It was ok popcorn, in my opinion not worth $10. The person at the help desk was extremely helpful. My mom needed help getting the ticket pulled up and he immediately knew where to look. Then the show before us was running late or something because the doors we're supposed to open a hour early but didn't open until like 10 minutes before so we had to wait a long time in a non moving line. When we actually got to the theater the sound was really good and there was lots of seating. The show was exactly 90 minutes as advertised but did feel longer. There were lots of exciting parts that kept it moving and it was very entertaining. There were some more boring (in my opinion parts) that led to 2 of our 5 members falling asleep around the middle of the show.

I had a great experience at Beachcomber. I came to Waikiki for a wedding at the Wayfinder and I wanted to stay somewhere close but closer to the beach and a little more upscale. It's just a 7 minute walk to Wayfinder which is located behind this hotel close to the canal. I decided to make the most of my experience and got an ocean view on the 19th floor. It was beautiful! There are some hotels in between you and the ocean but you still see the beach and water. I preferred vintage coffee across the street over the aroma coffee in the lobby. The lowest ac setting was 65 and it felt much hotter. So I had trouble sleeping the first night. I called and they came and overrode the setting to be at 60, they said that's for VIPs. Lol. After that it was just right not too cold but not too hot. The circus du soleil is located in the lobby. Next time I'll probably stay at a different hotel due to the price plus the additional $300 resort fee charged at the end. Especially since I don't use any of the resort benefits: pool, gym etc. But it was a great first time in Waikiki experience.

With this marking the sixth one I've stayed at and, unintentionally, maintaining my streak of staying at a different hotel every time I visit Honolulu (including the time I stayed at four on the same trip), it would seem I'm on my way to staying at every hotel in Waikiki. Ridiculously far from the worst thing in life, but I have to admit to feeling a bit like Goldilocks, as if in search of the hotel that feels just right. However, after this most recent trip, Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber might also mark the end of my streak! Based on my past experiences, among the things that we prioritized in our search for a hotel, beyond the usuals like cleanliness and value, was a newer/more modern property, a central location, a room with a balcony, and a decent sized pool. Thankfully, booking through Costco Travel provided us with a great value and the Beachcomber took care of nearly everything else. On-site, there are a couple of restaurants (a Hawaiian Aroma Caffe and Maui Brewing Company), a fitness center, coin-operated laundry room, a concierge desk that can help you book activities, valet parking (more below), sunrise yoga classes, a swimming pool with hot tub and "dive-in" movie nights, and even a Cirque de Soleil show. However, by far and away, the best thing about this place is its location - not only does it sit right on Kalakaua, but it's practically in the heart of it, with everything just a short walk away. Next door is a Macy's and the International Marketplace, across the street is the Royal Hawaiian Center, beach access is half a block away, and there are even more restaurants and retail shops in every other direction. As for our OCEAN VIEW KING ROOM, aside from some relatively minor quibbles, it was great! We had more than enough space for our needs and it came with all of the necessities - comfortable bedding/pillows, strong AC, stable Wi-Fi, a balcony with a table and chairs, fridge, and the usual staples (safe, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, soap dispensers, etc.). Sadly, the view of the ocean is only partial (we had to step onto the balcony and turn), but we spent most of our time on beaches anyways and the view of the International Marketplace/cityscape wasn't bad. Otherwise, other than the table inside being kind of small and how water would occasionally seep through a gap in the shower door, our room exceeded our expectations! Now, in the interest of fairness, I have to admit my rating might not have been as generous if not for the deal we got through Costco Travel. Between the pricing, the resort fees being waived, and the complimentary breakfast vouchers, we got a much better bang for our buck. That said, even if we had paid more, the staff made up for a lot, too. All of the front desk workers were so warm and friendly and the guys at the valet were dope. It's awesome how, once you've gotten a valet ticket, they will always have a space for you, even when their signage indicates the lot is full. However, what I really appreciated is how the guys offered to let us keep our car there even after we had checked out so that we wouldn't have to move our car elsewhere! One thing that I did find a bit unfortunate was that, despite having a water refill station in the lobby, they don't offer complimentary water bottles like how some hotels do to avoid guests from having to buy single use water bottles. Also, parking isn't cheap (~$55 per day), but it's pretty much the going rate for all hotels in Waikiki. Regardless, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here the next time I'm on Oahu...and I will most definitely be back!

Partial ocean view from our room

We decided to do a staycation for our anniversary and picked this hotel. Why? The kama'aina rate was good with no resort fee and 1/2 rate off parking. Auana Cirque Du Soleil is in the same hotel as is Maui Brewing Company. Plus, across the street is the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, International Market Place is next door, and Waikīkī beach is a little walk away. We got a room with a partial ocean view. The room needed a little love, but nothing to make me not appreciate being there. The pool is small for the hotel size, but you can always walk to the beach. Overall, glad we picked this hotel.

"Deluxe Ocean View" room is a joke... if this is "deluxe," I'd hate to see how small their non-deluxe rooms are. If this is their interpretation of "ocean view," I'd hate to see what the partial ocean view rooms could possibly see if they maybe hung off the balcony. The noise from the air conditioning units from a nearby building was pervasive as soon as the balcony door was opened. Zero ocean sounds. They had four elevators but somehow each elevator was always packed to the brim and stopped at many floors where people chose not to squeeze in. Other than that, the location is very central and convenient, with Duke's Waikiki just across the street, International Marketplace right next door, and the Cirque du Soleil show 'Auana right in-house. The desk staff were very competent and friendly too. The room itself was cleanish... but could have been cleaner. My sink wasn't completely clean when I checked in, and there was a piece of baseboard molding in the bathroom area that had cracked off and not been replaced/repaired. Overall it's decent, but I wouldn't stay here again. Would probably choose another hotel nearby. Maybe the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach across the street.

View from the 20th....so calm and serene

Right across from the beach and tons of shopping near by. This is a great central hotel in Waikiki. Less than 5 min walk to the beach, great views if you have an ocean view room. Pool and gym are small, but you're near the beach, so lounge at the pool during down time but go enjoy the beach. You can check towels out (as many as you need) and take them to the beach elsewhere so that's a monster plus. This hotel is home to the new Cirque Du Soleil show, Auana. We didn't check it out but I kinda wish we had a few more days here to do so. There's a cafe/restaurant and a lot of the time, your reservation will include bfast vouchers, which includes a breakfast item and a drink, or you can upgrade some items for a few dollars. There's so much to eat nearby, and we used the vouchers for to go meals when we would venture out away around the island, but good food options. Like I said...Lots of shopping near by, the international market place is right next door and the last remnants of the Int'l marketplace vendors are right along the street next to the hotel. Service - staff is super friendly here and everything we needed we got with a smile. Parking - Valet only if you have a car, but they get your car very quickly when you're coming in and out. Loved our stay here and would DEF come again. Again, amazing location and overall a good hotel.

Our timing wasn't very good, given that this hotel is undergoing a major renovation. There was no lobby so to speak. Yes, there was a check in desk. The front desk staff was friendly. The room was really large, but dated-- hence, why I'm sure the renovations are happening. I really appreciated the shower that could be hand held. Big plus! The location is perfect! You are right across the street from the International Marketplace. Walk 5-10 minutes in either direction to find parks and other major hotels on the beach. One thing we learned-- do not expect Happy Hours anywhere on Waikiki! I asked and was given a horrified look like "are you nuts"?! We booked through Costco Travel (highly recommend) where we got coupons for daily breakfast or lunch buffet at Duke's. We never did eat at Duke's for dinner, since the it seemed super busy. You have to make reservations WEEKS in advance, which we didn't. We were disappointed that we paid for the Voyager 47 Club benefits, only to find out that it's closed until October 2026. Costco Travel reimbursed us the $200 a day we paid for that, so we were happy.

5 stars for the LOCATION - It's in the middle of everything, close to the beach, International Market, Royal Hawaiian Shopping & Stix! It's next to Duke's Lane market and an ABC. Cirque du Soleil Auana is on site which makes it so convenient. 3 stars for everything else. We were there for 2 weeks, escalators were broken almost every other day. Laundry room was hot and stuffy it's impossible to stay inside to wait for your clothes. Carpets in the room need to be replaced. Bidet was loose, shower kept leaking, toilet paper thin as heck. Don't expect Charmin. These don't faze me but just to give an idea that an upgrade to the rooms were due. However, housekeeping staff always friendly and accommodated requests. It's Hawaii, so I'm not complaining about resort fees and cost of the room. However, I also expect to get what I'm paying for. DEAL BREAKER: Pillows were stiff/bouncy and uncomfortable. Bed was not hard but it lacked comfort my back hurt the whole time. I did not feel rested when I wake up each morning which depleted the purpose of a vacation. Saving grace was my view from my balcony. For over $400+ per night, I'll go somewhere else next time.

I am so shocked that this hotel doesn't have 5 stars from everyone. It shows like a higher end hotel with a beautiful lobby area that opens up to a pool, Maui Brewing company, and an Aroma Cafe that is perfect for breakfast, coffee, and pool food. Our room was really nice and had fun decor. You're right in the middle of everything in Oahu - right near the International Market and a block from the beach. On top of all that we got a killer rate because we booked through Costco Travel, which included breakfast vouchers at the Aroma Cafe. We could basically walk everywhere and the staff at the front desk was so helpful with everything. They even have a weekly movie night at the pool! I would definitely recommend coming back to this hotel.

There are many hotel choices in Waikiki for all budgets. We opted to stay at the Outrigger Beachcomber based on it being moderately priced and its location, location, location. We did get a room with an ocean view on the 23rd floor so that was pretty sweet. Pros: Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. It is located right in the center of Kalakaua, the Main Street in Waikiki and is centrally located to restaurants and close to the direct Waikīkī Beach access. It is a hop, skip and a jump to the International Market Place and right across the street from the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. The location is key for this hotel without breaking the bank too much. Cons: if you're looking to lay by the pool, the pool and pool area is very small and underwhelming. Rooms have terrible lighting unless you're into dim lighting and they do not have microwaves which is normally standard in most hotel rooms (although you can rent one for $10 a day). Hotel rooms are pretty standard but comfortable. Definitely worth staying here based on location alone.

    Restrooms not for the public.

Took a trip here to get away from September 18-23, 2024. Stayed at this hotel/resort. The decor was tropical Hawaiian vibes. Fun, colorful and lots of wicker and floral prints. The rooms left something to be desired as far as maintenance. There was one room change due to an A/C issue. The next room was missing a nightstand. So only one and the shower nob fell off. Another room change was in order but it was too much as I'd unpacked for a second time. Maintenance was able to rig the shower nob to work the remainder of the stay. It was eventful here. One night in the wee hours the fire alarm went off and the entire hotel had to EVACUATE. It was NOT a drill. I felt like I was in a movie. None of us as guest could believe it. Not sure exactly what the cause was but things turned out fine. It was a relief to get back to my room and return to my beauty rest. The staff were pleasant, accommodating and friendly.

    Baby Roach in the shower

This hotel looks nice but it had a baby roach in my shower and housekeeping didn't replenish the wash clothes and our room had an iron board with no iron. I requested one and it took 2 hours to get it. This was a really poor experience.

So you're stuck on your floor or the lobby for 10+ minutes waiting. Next - the smell of marijuana and cigarettes coming from nearby balconies. We notified front desk but nothing could be done. And finally? The cockroaches that scurried out from under the ice machine on the floor. The picture obviously isn't inside - but it's a cockroach nonetheless the less.

One of the important standards I look for in a hotel stay, is a focus on supporting locals. For me, if there's a Starbucks in the lobby, then I'm already disappointed. This hotel has one of my favorite local chain cafes, Honolulu Coffee Company. The only local café that has consistently made perfect crema foe decades. Starbucks baristas are not trained for this. The hotel also has restaurants with lots of local flavor. The sushi buffet is amazing but difficult to get a reservation on the weekends. 100 Sails also has a buffet though ordering ala cart seemed like the best choice for us. Best place to view the Friday fireworks. Our only disappointment was how much street noise we could hear throughout the night, even though we were on the 28th floor.

However, on my most recent trip, I decided to try the Hyatt Regency, thinking the lounge access and more resort-style atmosphere might be a better fit for my elderly parents. We booked three rooms for our family, and I can confidently say that this stay completely changed my perspective and that is largely thanks to Grace at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, Grace went above and beyond to make sure our check-in experience was seamless and welcoming. Traveling with elderly parents can sometimes be challenging, but she handled everything with such patience, warmth, and genuine care. She was incredibly attentive to our needs, thoughtfully ensuring that our rooms were convenient and comfortable for everyone in our group. What truly stood out was her ability to make us feel valued not just as guests, but as people. Her professionalism was matched by her kindness, and it was clear she takes great pride in creating a positive experience for those she helps. She anticipated needs we hadn't even expressed and handled every detail with ease and grace. Because of her exceptional service, what was meant to be a one time stay at the Hyatt Regency has completely changed my preference moving forward. Grace's hospitality exceeded all expectations and made our trip that much more memorable. It's rare to encounter someone who leaves such a lasting impression, but Grace absolutely did. She is a true asset to the Hyatt Regency, and I sincerely hope she receives the recognition she deserves. I will definitely be returning and recommending this property to others because of her.

Unfortunately, the first…read moretwo days of our trip were heavily impacted by severe weather--it was raining cats and dogs and apparently the worst storm in decades. During that time, the property experienced a loss of power and water, and the elevators were not working, which made things quite challenging. That said, once the weather cleared, we were able to appreciate what the hotel had to offer. We had booked two adjoining oceanfront rooms, and the view was beautiful when the skies opened up. Waking up to the ocean right outside our window made it all worthwhile. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the front desk, maintenance team, and all the staff members we interacted with were all very friendly and really helpful despite the difficult circumstances. Their positive attitude made a big difference in our stay. The location is def a huge plus, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, making it super convenient. The pool is a bit small and tends to get crowded, but it was heated, which was nice, and we really enjoyed the SWIM bar and restaurant. The food and drinks there were surprisingly good but they have a new menu so I was disappointed I didn't get to try some of the items I saw on the Yelp reviews . Overall, the service, location, and beautiful oceanfront views made our stay very enjoyable.

La Mer is a one of a kind French experience and Orchids is fantastic for any meal of the day. Just outside the hotel is a delightful oceanfront park where the hotel hosted yoga each day. A highlight for me. Great poolside service. The beach is small, so if you are looking to lounge on the beach, that's not really much of an option. This hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. So you know it has the highest standards. That brand has never steered me wrong. And the fact that it is not under a massive hotel chain umbrella means it can maintain its authentic individuality. Pro tip: if you have a late flight, there is a lounge where you can relax and prepare for your departure, as check out is 11am.

The restroom is in the restaurant area. I never once left the restaurant throughout the entire evening. I was simply on my way to pick up my drink from the seating area and then head to the bar to pay. He told me I was "going the wrong way" when the way I was going would have led to me to the bar... The way this team handles tabs in this bar is abysmal. Right when I sat down, I was attempting to give my bartender my credit card to start a tab. They refused to accept my card and said don't worry about it, and that they'll take it after I'm done. I explicitly told the bartender that I was going over to the lawn right next to the bar (still in the restaurant area) to get a better view of the musical performance, drink in hand. They said go ahead. Nobody should be treated like this

She last visited 5 years ago with some girlfriends and always spoke highly of the property and hotel. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon for our 9 day stay. Immediately I noticed that every employee I contacted went above and beyond to greet me and make sure if I needed help they would handle my situation. Staff here from valet, pool staff, housekeeping, bell desk, hotel check in, and even landscaping are well trained and operating on a higher than 90% of hotels out there. This level of service continued from our first to last day folks. Wendy our housekeeper was awesome and remember to tip appropriately! I want to talk about a common complaint I see in the reviews. Cost. I hate to slap you in the face with this but prices aren't what they used to be. Yes, this is a very expensive property. For us, it was worth the splurge that maybe will only be done every 5 years, but there's a reason for the high price. This hotel is roughly 2,500 miles away from the continental US and in my opinion one of the best ocean front properties in the world and you have to pay for that. If you are going to complain about cost then please stay home. Everything on an island that isn't naturally there has to be shipped there. So cost is obviously higher. I was last in Waikiki in 1995 as a child. I remember it then and seeing it again now was amazing. The food, city, and the ability to rent a car and leave the city in a flash is something unique in this paradise. The Sheraton adults only pool and the views that the ocean side hotel rooms provide are unparalleled. The kids pool is also above and beyond for the under 16-year-old age group. God speed Sheraton Waikīkī, I will return.

This was the only restaurant/dining option at the hotel, I have to take a shower change and and then I can eat something at the hotel .. where I The worst part was the extremely rude behavior from both the restaurant manager, Cassidy and another staff member, John. I told then if I change I can go outside of the hotel with lots of options and the guy (John say 2 time back to back we don't need you to come back hear , Both had an incredibly rude tone and displayed a lack of respect that should never be seen in customer service, especially from managers. After this, we left, and we couldn't enjoy the beach or pool for the rest of the day. Essentially, our entire day was ruined. A hotel should offer at least one casual dining option for guests, or they can have a section at same restaurant at least till same time as pool are open this was a huge disappointment.
