This hotel is our go-to whenever we do a staycation. It is family friendly and their Kamaaina rates are awesome. The pool is kind of like a splash pool where kids don't need to use their floaties to swim. The staffs are welcoming and are quick if we need anything. They also have activities for the guests, esp. for the kids. The hotel itself gives a very modern look. Although it has no pool bar or food inside the hotel, it is located around lots of eateries!! Once you get out of the hotel, there are bars, restaurants, and dessert places to choose from. There is also a Starbucks downstairs and next to Nordstrom Rack. That is why it is called "centric" for a reason, hehehe. I would always rave about this hotel to my family and friends. Best kamaaina hotel to stay at! read more

I had a nice stay at this hotel. Location was nice. It was middle of Waikiki, close to stores and restaurants. Our room had 2 double beds and very spacious but only had one chair and one desk. I wish there was another chair and small coffee table. Room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a coffee maker and some coffee but it was on a high shelf so I had to use a chair to pour water in the coffee maker. There was cute water bottles and we loved it. There was water server in the lobby so we didn't have to go out and buy water. There was no toothpaste & toothbrush but we were able to get some at the front desk. All the staff was very nice and helpful. The big plus about this place is lounge area next to the front desk. There were many tables and chairs and some comfortable sofas. We bought breakfast from close by stores and had breakfast with friends there. Nice gathering place. One negative thing is that parking. Stalls are ok size but going up to the parking is very narrow. My fifth time in Hawaii. Hyatt Centric Waikiki is a solid stay if you want to be right in the middle of everything. The location is super convenient - close to shopping, food, and an easy walk to the beach! The rooms are clean, modern, and a good size for Waikiki. However, elsewhere, this would only be considered a boutique hotel. Beds were comfortable, AC worked great, and it had basic amenities like a mini fridge and coffee maker, but no office desk. The fitness center is also decent and well-equipped for a hotel gym, which was a nice bonus. I also liked the little extras that comes with the resort fee - free daily activities, a complimentary reusable water bottle and tote bag, plus beach gear you can borrow, which really helps cut down on packing and rental costs. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, especially at check-in. The pool area is on the smaller side and not really a highlight, shallow and not swimmable for adults, but kids seem to enjoy splashing around. The hot tub is a nice touch. The hotel is perfectly maintained and the staff is so nice. You can borrow beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and towels these are included in your resort fee. There is an enterprise rental in the same building in case you need a vehicle for the day, you can return in same garage and avoid the Hyatt parking fees. My king size deluxe room was huge, with views of diamond head and the mountains and other side the beach this is a must. The price is reasonable for Waikiki. I love this hotel. An available kamaaina rate, available self or valet parking, right in the middle of Waikiki. Staff have been nothing short of awesome and inviting. Right around the corner, a Starbucks to get a morning coffee with donut king right across the street. Rooms available with that window for to the shower(++for couples). I've only one concern for one room we stayed where that window also faces towards the door, though there are blinds to close it (would be a mild shock for house keeping to open and see you...) . Also have a bright light right above the bed. Room with the tub shower combo, + with the mini stone texture, so no slipping, the tub is small, single, can't stretch your legs. The experience is a 5 star, the only thing I wish they had was a legit swimming pool. They did have a jacuzzi which made up for it, but still a nice pool would be nice, instead, it's like a foot bath, less than knee deep high. lol oh wait, they call it "splash pool" lol The other down fall was self parking was confusing because you got the elevators to go public entrance and then separate set of elevators for hotel entrance. When getting in the elevators, trying to press lobby, it wouldn't let us press lobby because we were pressing on the wrong side of the elevator. I believe key card is needed to access lobby?? But we ended up going down to ground floor where concierge and valet was, no check in desk to be found, hauled all our stuff back in the elevator, to go back up to the lobby. Yes, signs everywhere, big signs everywhere for hotel entrance elevator, signs for lobby floor, signs, and signs everywhere, unfortunately, still was confusing for us :( after these downfalls, no star deduction, even though no breakfast either lol. So upon checking in, GSA was super nice, friendly, I believe her name was Ana? Could be wrong. But super nice. Wish I got a free upgrade or higher floor, but it's okay. Got room 1411, and upon room entry, room was big, spacious. Wife's most favorite part about the room was a bath tub for bubbles baths!!! The bathroom was huge with separate shower from bath tub, toilet was a bidet, nice art work in toilet room, lighting in bathroom wasn't bright, very soft. Room had 1 king size bed, with sofa. View was alright. Could be better, but better than staring at another building. As long as could see ocean, it's considered ocean view! Room had a nice size closet, iron, ironing board, emergency flashlight, plug outlets throughout the room, mini fridge, keurig, complimentary souvenir water bottles. Ice and water machines on certain floors. Hyatt centric is a pet friendly hotel with applicable pet cleaning fees. Hyatt centric is conveniently located in the middle of Waikiki, very convenient with so many stores, restaurants, shopping, bus stops, in walking distance. We took advantage of how close some of the restaurants were that we wanted to try, so we got to just walk to the restaurant for our anniversary dinner, walk to Ross for a little bit of shopping, walk to happy hawaiian for breakfast, international marketplace, Starbucks!!! Right downstairs of the hotel... the hotel also has a microwave in the lobby, board games, meeting room, fitness center, and cute photo opps everywhere. So the wife really loved the bath tub in the bathroom, we made use of the jacuzzi, the bed, room, was spacious and comfortable. Oh and there was also a kupe'e (flower wristlet) making class, we got to join in on that for a little bit. That was fun. Made use of the fitness center a little bit. Oh, the jacuzzi/splash pool area, got cute cabanas to just lounge and relax. All in all, we enjoyed and had a relaxing stay. As long as wife happy, I'm happy. She said she would come back. If you like pools at your resort, then you won't really find that here. Their "pool" is trendy and the water levels go to about mid-calf. It's a cool spot for sitting at the edge and soaking your feet while you're hanging out with friends/family. I stayed here for a few days in a suite and the room was quite spacious. Hyatt Centric Waikiki is small and a different vibe from the bigger Hyatt hotels, but still have the high quality and outstanding customer service I expect. The hotel is in an excellent location, and within walking distance to tons of shopping, great food, and of course the beach! The staff are amazing and extremely helpful. They even have goldfish you can borrow for your stay if you'd like a fishy friend in your room! The pool is beautiful, the hot tub is larger than most. My only complaint is that the pool is very shallow, it is not a pool for swimming. Its more of a pool for taking cool insta pics and cooling off. The deepest part of the pool is maybe 2 feet deep. Overall we had a great stay and would choose Hyatt Centric again if we ever revisit Oahu. read more

We stayed here for five days and overall the experience was positive. The staff was nice and polite, but the cleaning service was not really good. They didn't vacuum the carpet, and they didn't properly make the bed, they just pulled the sheets up, and there were some crumbs left on them. Keep in mind there is no breakfast, no bar, and no real pool. The website said there was a pool, but it's actually just a shallow decorative tub, only about knee-deep, so you definitely cannot swim or even relax in it. The parking garage is extremely expensive, almost the same price as a night in the hotel. Another thing to know is that the area around the hotel is not safe at all. There are a lot of homeless people and some very unpleasant and dangerous individuals walking around. Just something to consider before you book read more

Stayed here for a few nights on a recent visit to Honolulu. The experience was a mixed bag and I would say overall it was a slightly above average hotel. I would stay here again, but at the same time I'd probably explore other options first. The pros: -staff were super friendly -the location is walking distance to the beach -the rooms are spacious -the heated toilet seats -hydration station on my floor for filling up bottles -they have free hula lessons and lei making during the week. We did the lei making and it was a lot of fun. -fitness room met my needs -beach umbrellas, boogie boards, and towels are available to take to the beach for free The cons: -the pool - it's on the roof and is super shallow (can't swim in it), so my kids were really bummed -resort fee and parking fee - expensive! -no microwaves in your room -the bathroom - the lighting is super dim, the shower has a window that looks out to the room, and the tub faucet pours out of the ceiling! This Hyatt centric hotel is actually quite average. Not our usual first choice in hotels but bc of its central location in Waikiki my wife booked this hotel. We have stayed at many five star hotels; my wife the hotel snob that she is tolerated this one. We stayed on the 19th floor in the ocean view suite. Not your typical roomy suite like Prince Waikiki or the Ritz Carlton but at least we did have views. Our windows did not open up for the safety of the guests which was understandable. They were somewhat dirty but you could see outside. Housekeeping was daily. Towels were replaced & room was cleaned. Our bathroom sink was annoying though as the pipes were slow to drain & the handle to turn on for the water was quite tight. That's an understatement too! Our tub was convenient yet if you're a shower person the separate shower head was short and cannot be used without holding on to it. Otherwise you have to bend down under which is quite inconvenient. Thankfully we mainly took baths. On our second morning our toilet would not thoroughly flush. Like what a nuisance! We informed the front desk Erica at 5 AM which is 8 AM our West Coast time. Luckily the repair guy came in on time at 7 AM Hawaii time & fixed it rather quickly! That was a relief as we weren't in any hurry to change rooms since we had been there for two nights already. The keurig coffee maker was rather easy & nice to use. It even prepared excellent tasting coffee that we didn't find the need to go out for coffee even though Kona coffee purveyors was so close by as well as Starbucks! We are well aware of that swanky pastry/coffee business as we have frequented B Patisserie in SF several times! We had been there a couple times before on another previous Hawaii visit. We even saw people lining up at Dean & Deluca at the Royal Hawaiian Center. My wife mentioned they probably had limited quantities of a special tote. Thank goodness she's not into that! Woohoo how did I get so lucky! Yup my wife used to be so materialistic. No more now. Thank goodness. Life is too short for that. You can't take those things with you when you die & go to heaven. Seriously! We gave this hotel four stars but it was more like 3.45. Even the hotel pool's depth is only 14 inches like huh? My wife saw the beach towels were available as well as sunscreen by the pool. That was a nice perk especially if you didn't bring the right kind of sunscreen with you. The hotel provided this reusable water bottle but the straw was quite useless. Strange & cheap contraption! So we just left it back in the room. It was nice to have a portable refrigerator & safe especially if you were to lounge by the pool & not bring your valuables with you & just store them in the safe. Overall we had a pleasant stay here despite some minor nuisances. It was pretty quiet where our room was situated especially since we were at the very end of the hall. That's huge bc if your room was by the ice machine or elevators you will definitely be hearing unwanted noise. How well do we know that staying away from home bc we have traveled our fair share of places. We have been very blessed & are extremely thankful! It will be awhile before we are back here as we have visited Waikiki numerous amount of times. Oh one last thing I just remembered was the setting of the temperature in our hotel room. It was already preset at 72 degrees. Being as high as we were with lots of sunlight bc of the windows the temperature setting was perfect. Thank goodness for that considering we stayed at this one suite in Sydney Australia & the temperature was so off. It was hot in the seating of the front room while the bedroom was Freezing! Seriously! That was a real PITA! Normally 72 degrees is too chilly for us as we set our house temps at 77 degrees but in this situation it worked! Woohoo! read more

After looking through the many hotel options in Waikiki Beach, I decided on Hyatt Centric mostly because of location. The hotel has a few pros/cons. Starting off with the good: 1. Location - I have never been to Hawaii before, so I definitely knew that I wanted to stay near the beach. This location was great because it's not on the street at Ala Monana where all the craziness is, but 2 short blocks away. (If you want to stay on the street with all the action, then I would suggest another hotel). 2. Staff - Staff was friendly and nice. I did not get a cleaning while I was there and asked for a few items and it arrived very quickly. I also borrowed some chairs/towels for the beach with no issues. Then, the bad: 1. Parking - Parking is super confusing here. I arrived the first night and just decided to valet, but the person told me he was short staffed so I would need to wait 20-30 minutes. I just wanted to clean up, so I opted for self-parking. You have to go all the way to the 6th floor to park. There are some SUPER narrow ramps to go up and down. I would just suggest waiting for the valet. 2. Room - I thought that the room has very clean and nice. But, I got a corner room and it was oddly shaped and I did not think anything until I saw some pictures of rooms from fellow Yelpers and it looks like I might have gotten the short end of the stick for the room. I think it is because I booked through a 3rd party, but I did book a ocean view, so that was a bummer. 3. Cost - Overall, the cost was a little expensive in my opinion for this property. Parking was $42 for self park and they tacked on a resort fee. For a similar price, you can stay in a nicer property close to the where everything is actually located. Overall, I would give the room a 3 star, but am dropping out 1 star because of some of bad things about the property. With other hotels close to here, I do not think I would stay here again. read more

My sister and I stayed at this Hyatt Centric for a much needed twin-cation filled with hiking and we were not disappointed! Because I have Globalist status and booked this stay with points, our valet parking was free! Unfortunately because their restaurant was still closed, we couldn't get free breakfast, but Hyatt did provide some extra points to account for the unavailability. We got upgraded to the ocean view 2 queen beds and it was so sweet! We thought the shower window was pretty funny, being transparent and all. There is a curtain for privacy. The entire feel of the room was very Hawaii, we loved the tropical themed decor. After one of our long hikes, we went to chill at the pool and they had jets which served perfectly as massages for our legs. We loved watching the sunsets in our room and there were rails near the window for us to hang dry our swimming suits and wet hiking clothes. read more

If you don't want to get charged for services that they can't even explain, DONT BOOK HERE! We booked a suite for ONE night and got charged for things that didn't even make sense or didn't even get! The suite doesn't even look like a suite to begin with. The room was nice and all but it was small and just looks like a regular room, nothing like a suite AT ALL!! The suites was very small to a point where the regular room was big and better then the suites over charged us multiple time on there website parking was $55 but when it was time to check out parking come out to $248 the vehicle wasn't in the parking for 24 hours. If you want to get a hotel with your friends there's a big window in the bathroom where everyone can see yes there was blinds but it would have been nice to have no window.TERRIBLE SERVICES.I wouldn't recommending getting a hotel here for the price we pay. I always feel weird reviewing hotels, because so much depends on price, which can vary so much. In this case, though, I paid with Hyatt points (via Chase points), so I felt like I got a pretty good deal, as the points redemption, while not *cheap*, was definitely a discount over the cash price (especially as we also got to avoid the additional "resort" fee.) I probably would feel less overwhelmingly favorable if I'd paid $300+ per night - but apart from price, I had no real complaints, and would have no issue staying here again, if I were back in Waikiki. Our room was comfortable enough, with plenty of space (though admittedly, I was "upgraded", as when I originally booked the room with points, the only room listed as available was an ADA room, which we didn't need - when we checked in, the receptionist let us know she was moving us to a slightly larger room with a better view, for free. No issue there!) There was literally nobody else waiting to check in when we got there, either - I'd never had a quicker hotel check-in experience, other than at places that let you check yourself in online (actually, I believe they *did* offer that, but it seemed easier to just check in at the kiosk.) Bed was comfortable enough, wifi worked well, AC worked well, basically everything worked well enough. Really no complaints (though I do agree with another recent review - it is *weird* that so many hotels have decided to use sliding doors for their bathroom doors, which isn't necessarily the ideal type of door for that purpose...) I also appreciated having a proper fridge in the room. It is also worth noting that, despite not being right on the beach, they *do* still offer complimentary beach towels (convenient mainly in that that means you can just return the sandy, damp towels to them when you're done), and yes, actually complimentary, no gotchas or anything. Technically they also provide complimentary boogie boards, though after receiving one, my wife said it looked too cheap to be fun to use, and gave it back. The location is clearly worse than the other nearby Hyatt literally right on the beach (which didn't have any points availability the weekend we were here) - but it is still a pretty solid location. Walking to the beach took all of maybe 5 minutes, which is *slightly* inconvenient on the way back after swimming in the water, but still, pretty close. And that also means you're 5 minutes further away from the part of Waikiki where all the restaurants and bars are overly touristy - there were more highly rated restaurants within literally 2 blocks of where we stayed, than we had time to try in the 2 days we were there. Was slightly sad that we'd been upgraded to a high-floor room with a "view" that didn't really have a view of much of anything - but only slightly, given that wasn't at all the reason we chose the hotel, and weren't expecting anything particular. read more

Very cute boutique style hotel - we stayed for 2 nights & booked a king standard room using Hyatt points (I believe it was 18k points a night). With Discoverist status they upgraded our room to a king deluxe. We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary in Hawaii & they left us a little welcome basket when we got to our room which was sooooo thoughtful and sweet! When you enter the building, take the elevator up to the Lobby where you can check in. We didn't get to use the amenities because of our itinerary but there's go pros you can rent for free (paid for via the resort fees you pay), a pool, and a small gym with cardio & free weights. The room we had was really spacious (we stayed at the holiday inn express for the first half of our trip and this room was easily 2x the size), the bathroom had a heated toilet/bidet, tub, and ample storage space. (No microwave though) Parking is on the 6th floor - so make sure to add an extra. 5-10 minutes to your travel time to account for getting out of the parking space. The only thing that was really weird was that we called to see if we could check in early & the front desk said we had to physically show up early to get put on the list for early check in. It wasn't possible to be added to the list over the phone. This didn't make sense to me as I've always been able to request early check in over the phone or at least find out if it was possible to check in early over the phone with every other hotel chain I've stayed at - IHG, Marriott, Hilton, etc. Also, we left our toothbrushes at the last hotel & had to ask room service for some. For a 4 star hotel, the ones they had really sucked lol the bristles were all over the place after 2 brushes. This was a great stay! We were even given early check in at 11AM which was perfect since we arrived so early and didn't feel comfortable driving around with all of our stuff. Though even if they couldn't accommodate early check in, they offered to hold our luggage. Parking fee wasn't great and every night we were a little worried we wouldn't find a spot but luckily there was always at least 2-3 spots left when we arrived. The not so fun part was when the fire alarm went off, we all took the stairs down and by the time we all got down it ended up being a false alarm. Not so bad for us but there were a few elderly guests and going down 18 floors is not the business, Housekeeping came when requested and they left the place so clean! We felt bad because days at the beach left sooo much sand in our room but housekeeping took care of it and made it look like it never happened. Loved the towel rentals, everyday we just went down to the pool and grabbed all the towels we needed for the day and used the complimentary sunscreen before leaving for the day. Water bottle dispenser was great too so we could top off before leaving for the day. The walk to the Waikiki beach was only about 3-5 minutes, which was perfect! Overall it felt like a great value hotel while still experiencing the downtown Waikiki life. read more

All of the staff were recently friendly and made us feel more welcome than almost any hotel we've ever stayed at. They were extremely accommodating of us traveling with toddlers. This isn't the attitude of service workers we encountered in other stays where they weren't as excited to see small children. The cleaning ladies would even appear excited to see our children and talk to them; knowing they were helping to tidy up some of their mess. Positives: - Rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. - everything was in perfect working condition in the room - staff at front desk, room service and cleaning were all exceptional. This is a very well run hotel location. - this has one of the best walkability of any hotel I've ever stayed at. It's right in the middle of all the action and best food. We stayed here from 2/3-2/9. Location wise it is pretty central in Waikiki. The hotel seems to attract couples and not large families so it's pretty quiet. Valet parking is $50 or self park is $42. Staff is friendly. We actually had two rooms on this stay due to a water leak in our first room. The room on the 21st floor was pretty average though made to seem special since it was on a high floor. Don't be fooled! You actually need to take 2 elevators to get to the 21st or 22nd floor, which we quickly found to be inconvenient. We were celebrating my birthday this vacation and they placed 4 balloons on the bed, but judging from other guests' reviews, this seems like the most minimal welcome. The second room was 1811. This room was bigger than our first, with a small couch and coffee table and a larger bathroom with a Toto bidet and a bathroom door that actually closed (not a sliding one). The bathroom lighting was pretty dim, but we thought the same for the first room too. We liked having only one elevator ride. Overall we enjoyed our stay and liked the location, but were also kind of disappointed with their handling of the leak issue. Obviously we had to switch rooms, but nothing was offered to be comped for the inconvenience. We had to pack and relocate after a long day out. I had to ask during check out, and they removed resort fees for 2 nights (approx $60), which seems a bit underwhelming for a company like Hyatt. read more

The front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming! They even prepared for us a cute card and sweets! Being centrally located in Waikiki, it's very convenient to get around! I would recommend getting an Uber/Lyft to the hotel and opt out renting a car. The parking fee was $60 per night. The only problem we had was with the house cleaners dishonesty. Something was left in the fridge, but it was not found. In spite of the dishonesty behavior, we had a great stay at this hotel, Mahalo~ read more

I stayed in a double queen room. Spacious enough if you have extra guests. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff is helpful, polite and very professional. The lobby is on the 7th floor. I am not sure if that is a normal practice in other places but it works well once you get used to the keycard situation. During the later part of my stay, I rented a car and used the hotel parking. The room card also worked for the parking gate and that whole system worked flawlessly. All-in-all it was a great place to stay and central to everything. I will stay again. read more

I am by no means a snob for hotels, but I like this place. It's close by to places you can travel to by foot. It's not too loud nearby because it is about a block or two away from the beach. The staff here are nice and helpful and they have filtered water fountains on each floor. They even gave us a water bottle for them. The room is spacious. The only downside was the fact that the bathroom and the main room is separated by a sliding door. It's not sound proof so it's pretty useless. That's more on the interior designers fault, but it was weird to me. Don't know if it's common in Hawaii, but it was my first time being in a hotel room with... essentially no door. Anyways, still had a good stay here. Starbucks is right on the first floor in the same building so you don't have to leave the building. Top food spots are across the street. Price is reasonable compared to other places. read more

This is for the parking lot. My friend and I were having dinner at Basalt. Park at the Hyatt Centric across the street, (on Kuhio Ave), Basalt will validate. The sign says 6' 2" clearance--that is the clearance level for friend's truck. The truck clears the initial 6'2" sign at the entrance of the lot--(which has padding at the bottom to protect against scrapes). The sign is there so drivers can gauge if their tall vehicle will fit. Cleared it! Yay! My friend drives slowly. There are pipes. No problem clearing the initial long tilted ramp. We make it past the valet parking level. Ohh the ramp to the next level--Because of the angle of the ramp and the large beam overhead, I'm skeptical--is that really 6'2" clearance? I jump out of the truck to eye it and direct. Ohh close, close. Stop, stop! Slight scrape. Back up and exit. 6'2" clearance trucks--don't try it. read more

ABOVE & BEYOND! Celebrated my birthday & babymoon here & I have no regrets! This hotel is in the heart of everything around Waikiki. I don't think we walked more than 10 minutes to any of the places we wanted to visit or eat at. The beach is only a 7 minute walk away. The only places we took an Uber to was to the Ala Moana mall & of course a shuttle to Paradise Cove for a luau. At first coming to this hotel was a bit confusing. We took an Uber from the airport (approximately 20-25 min). Entering in, the lobby is NOT on the first floor. We were directed to the "8th floor" or "L" floor which is the main lobby. The elevator does not have an option for the 8, so pick L. It may be confusing because you think you need a card to use the elevator, but you don't need one to simply go to the lobby. You do need a hotel key to get to the designated floors once you are assigned a room. Once you enter the lobby, it is filled with so much warmth & hospitality. They have their aesthetics down to the t. You will see everything is Instagram worthy for the perfect pictures. If you are lucky & the owner brings their dog, you will meet NASA! Such a sweet doggo that just lounges around the lobby. Linda helped us. She was kind, attentive, & so helpful! We arrived around noon and she helped us with checking in. I thought I picked the deluxe room with a tub inside, but unfortunately that is not guaranteed with your booking. She kindly made some moves to help make this accommodation & notified us that she can give us a call when the room is ready. We decided to walk around until our room was ready. Since we had our luggages, the valet on the 1st floor gave us a ticket & kept our luggages safe until we returned. So convenient! The pool is not really for swimming. It's to lounge in since it's no more than 9 inches. There is a jacuzzi you can dip your body into. Fast forward to the room - bright, clean, & spacious. They have everything you may need - toiletries, extra towels, extra pillow (useful since I'm pregnant & needed extra cushion), & blanket. They also have 2 refillable and washable Hyatt centric bottles you can refill in the lobby (outside by the pool or the gym). Perfect to keep yourself hydrated for your trip without buying so many water bottles! Hyatt Centric at Waikiki had everything we needed. My husband and I have visited Hawaii twice in the last year and both times we've stayed at the Hyatt Centric in Waikiki. It's very close to everything - shops, food/restaurants, beach. The rooms are always so clean and the staff is great! Hyatt Centric also has their own parking structure for guests making it easy to come and go. read more

The first night of our first visit Honolulu was at the Hyatt Centric on Seaside Ave. The staff was friendly and thoughtful. They delivered service that exceeded expectations. If you are fortunate enough visit Honolulu, the Hyatt Centric can, and more than likely will make it an epic visit. read more

We had a wonderful stay here at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach!! The hotel room was everything we needed - clean, spacious and we had a great city view from our 18th floor room! The beds were very comfortable, and had a variety of pillows so we could find one that worked for each of us. We were given orange water bottles upon check-in, which we really appreciated! The shower was spacious. The home run was the Toto bidet in the bathroom!! It had a remote control that you could remove from the holder but it was just as easy to access it in the holder that was mounted to the wall. I am sold on this baby! I'm in the process of getting one for home after using this jewel all week! We had a rental car so we had to pay parking and it was easy to access with the security badge they provided. We just kept that in the car so it was right where we needed it. Hold on to your hats as you go up all the levels to park! Parking spots are super skinny, but it seems to be that way everywhere on the island! The front valet stand right outside the front door proved to be so helpful! We borrowed some beach chairs, an umbrella and beach towels, all for no extra charge! They were all top quality! The only negative that I can find was those posters that they had in frames in the elevators. I don't know why they aren't flush with the wall instead of poking out a good inch. Everyone tends to lean against the wall in the elevator and it's painful to do so here! This hotel is in a great location - so easy to walk to Waikiki beach, shopping and restaurants! I would definitely stay here again! read more

I had a wonderful stay in this hotel!!! As a globalist member, I had been upgraded to a city view suite (which was based upon availability). The hotel has a modern and minimalist style. They have daily housekeeping which is optional due to Covid. Chrome cast is available on one of the TVs. The hotel is just about 5 min walk to the beach. They provide chairs and beach towels upon request. They also provide sunscreen, which is located at the pool area. Its proximity to Kuhio and Kalakaua makes it very convenient and walkable to restaurants and shops. It would have been good if their restaurant was open but it wasn't a big deal at all since there are bunch of restaurants nearby. The entire staff were very attentive and always willing to help. This was my first time staying at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki and it definitely impressed me. Everything from the room decor, ambiance, location, cleanliness, and friendly staff was wonderful. The pool was good for small children but I would not call it a pool. It's more of a water lounge area because it doesn't go deeper than 14th inches. My son is 2 and he had a lot of fun splashing in there but I wish there was a real heated pool. The restaurant /bar on the lanai is still closed since the pandemic. Staff didn't know when it would reopen but the good thing was the location of this hotel, plenty of food places near by. Starbucks is also connected to the hotel so that was a plus. We went to celebrate my birthday and the manager had emailed my husband prior to ask if we were celebrating anything. However, when we arrived at our room, there was nothing on the bed (no balloons or flowers) like I saw others on Yelp were given. It was kind of weird how he asked what we were celebrating but nothing was there to greet us. Not a big deal but just thought it was worth mentioning as some guests may really look forward to those things. read more

Stayed here for 5 nights and honestly LOVED IT. Highlights: *Suite was HUGE, comfy and clean. It was my first time staying at a hotel that had a toilet with a bidet and heated seat. Amazing! *Staff were super friendly and helpful *Services were quick via text *Perfect location to stay in Waikiki - Restaurants and shops were walking distance from the hotel. You'd only need a car if you're visiting distant parts of the island. *You can borrow beach towels from Valet services *Parking garage is convenient. Only issue are the turns going up to each level. They aren't curved so if you're not a skilled driver, you may have a hard time. LOL. *Starbucks Reserve is on the first floor so if you want coffee you can literally put in a mobile order and just pick it up! *Swimming pool area is cute but the pool itself is very shallow - enough to dip your feet in. Fresh towels were there for guests to use. Did enjoy the big hot tub though! I would recommend staying here! read more

We had 7 day vacation at Hyatt for our first wedding anniversary and we are so satisfied. This hotel is only 6 years old. Our Ocean view room on the 20th floor was very clean, new and had a nice smell. The housekeeping was done daily! The beach towels were in the good condition and always available at the pool area. We are the highest Hyatt members and had no problems checking out later than 11am. But we were unable to check in earlier than 3pm and had to give our bags to be held. The gentlemen on the concierge level (1st level) were always friendly as well as the receptionists in the lobby. Be careful with garage parking there as it is very tiny. $42 per day for guests. The pool and jacuzzi are not deep, its more of a chill area rather than actual swimming. But there is a whole ocean for swimming, right? Sadly, this hotel has its bar closed since pandemic. There is Starbucks and Jamba Juice right on the first level. Overall, this hotel is in the good location, not too close and not too far from Waikiki. It was a very enjoyable stay, thank you Hyatt! read more

Pros Big modern bathroom and shower space. Strong water pressure and it heats up quickly. A lot of space in the room to walk around and even exercise very comfy. Friendly staff always says hi to you. Brita water refill stations Tv Remote lights up perfect for night time watching Tv is big Tv has chrome cast (hit APP on remote, select HDMI 1, follow directions on screen) The restroom is cool it has a motion censored light perfect for when you walk towards it and need to go to the restroom at night. They have a mini fridge in the room. Big closet to put away belongings. The room is nice and modern. Location of the hotel is great Starbucks is right on the bottom and there's tons of food around the hotel. The gym was nice and clean and usually empty. Cons Didn't have enough chairs or tables for sitting and eating in the room. The view wasn't that nice. Not enough trash cans throughout the hotel. Trash cans in room were very small. The pool area is small. I mentioned I was celebrating my anniversary and baby moon they didn't do anything special. Elevators are small,too slow, and there are only 4. The room doors don't close well on their own you need to yank it to close and the do not disturb sign falls off easily and can block the door from fully closings Room is very large and has high ceilings so takes a long time to cool down. The AC does not continuously run if you leave the room so you will come back to a hot room. There isn't an ice machine on every level so you need to go to different floors to get ice. Unfortunately someone pulled the fire alarm while I was napping so I had to go down 15 flights of stairs while I was pregnant and half asleep it was a mess with people rushing down the stairs and it was not very safe. read more
