Everything is modular and designed to fit, so the bookcase is a perfect fit under his bed, which is about 4 feet off the floor - not too high, and creates a nice reading nook underneath. There are a lot of configuration options, so it can grow with him, whether we opt for a higher loft bed or put it on the floor at normal bed height, this is furniture he can have well into young-adulthood. And he WILL because ooowee, this was expensive! Definitely not Ikea, even though it gives off that vibe. It has so far held up very well, especially compared to the heavy wood dresser we bought as a changing table when he was a baby that is covered in dings and scratches. The Flexa stuff still looks new and we've moved once since then. It came apart and reassembled easy-peasy. There are several finishes available, twin and full-size options, and lots of pieces like slides, desks, cubbies, etc. It comes flat-packed, so I was able to get all the parts home in a SUV, and I was also able to put it together myself. I needed a second person to help get the bed up onto the taller legs, but otherwise, it was straightforward to put it together. I recently went back in to get a shelf for the bed for an alarm clock, and it just hooks onto the rails so it can literally go anywhere. Also picked up a second bookcase which happened to be on sale, so that made the price a little (tiny) bit better. I went in on a Monday and was able to pick up from the store that Saturday. Not sure whether beds are available as quickly - I don't remember our original order available that fast, but that was years ago. Small shop/showroom, but they have nearly everything represented in-store, and you can order the configuration and finish you want. A few parking spaces right in front.

Her legs are all coming through the slats when she sleeps. So we decided to go bed shopping with her one day. We went to check out one furniture store and found a cute one but they said that it would take six months to get in. That was a little too long to wait considering she's already too big for her bed. So the next stop was Flexa. I found this place on Yelp and then I went to check out their website. They had some pretty interesting set up for their beds. It's modular furniture so you can just add on pieces as your child grows. Like you could add drawers under your bed or you could raise the bed and put a desk under. In the store they have a few models set up. My husband was drawn to the twin bed with three drawers under. He thought that would be great to store all her junk. More like hide her junk so it's off the floor, haha. It was nice and it came in gray or off white. The white they have there is kind of an unfinished paint job with streaks of blue in it. I didn't like that color. We decided on the gray one and placed the order. It will only take three months so that's not so bad. Overall, it's a small store, but the furniture they have in there is very well built. You know that it will last for years to come. The lady who serviced us was also very kind.

The entire process was seamless from start to finish. They delivered everything directly to our hotel's bell desk before we arrived, making pickup incredibly easy, and returning the items was just as convenient. This service made traveling with our family so much less stressful. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again on future trips!

Rachel is absolutely amazing -- even though we've never met in person, she makes you feel completely taken care of every time. One time I forgot to book a crib until less than 24 hours before I needed it. I reached out to Rachel fully expecting it to be a problem, and she didn't give me any fuss at all -- just, "Yeah, sure, no problem. We got you." That kind of support and ease is hard to find. She is hands down the best. If you're ever heading to Oahu and need baby equipment, I can't recommend Paradise Baby Co. enough. Absolutely amazing, 100%, period.

When it does we look to the little things in life and see if it can go to someone who needed it more than we do, this is where consignment was something I've done in the past which can be risky but is great tool to sell that item your not totally committed to. Rhea Lana's is the nation's children consignment place that holds events is 25 states and guess what we have one right here in Hawaii and was coincidentally held in the former Toy r us location in Pearl City. I was just taken aback of how much inventory they had!Very neat and organized all sorted with clear signage for all things for kids like clothing, shoes, toys, furniture, books and even accessories for mom like bags and bottles. There was a few items I was interested in but the line was decently long with carts filled with items I though what a great organization this is and is obviously very needed in this community. Though this event has passed follow them on Instagram @rhealanasofhonolulu to keep updated with them. Thank you!

After using Target's very clean restroom, I thought I'd walk around & check out the Kailua Store. Making a small observation.......... ever noticed that Target's store layout is pretty similar to the other Target stores in da 808??? I guess this is kinda neat, as it makes it easier to find things in the store. I noticed that the Kailua Target store also had a Starbucks coffee shop, & a Pizza Hut within the store. I really didn't have anything to buy today, but while browsing around, I came across some DEALAGES on a microwave oven. DARN! I just bought a new microwave oven for my dad, as his microwave had broke down recently. Guess where I bought my microwave??? Yes gangies..........Walmart! And ya know what???? Target actually had a better sale price on the microwave, as the microwave I bought on sale at Walmart was ($60.73 w/tax). I guess Walmart doesn't always have da best DEALAGES! Lol! The Kailua Target store is very spacious & clean. A very nice store to visit, should you need groceries, or any other item.
