It is located in a house that has been converted into a retail shop. It is quaint and unassuming. It has some major brand inventory--but the majority of its stock is clothing and accessories of their own design. They have some designs that feature a "bridge" (a nod to the nearby bridge that crosses the Anahulu River), and some designs that feature a rooster (a wink to all of those feral chickens that you see running around). You can go to their website for online shopping--but the online shop does not have all of the items available in store. Sometimes I think the term "authentic" is overused nowadays; but the shop does feel "of a place".

Which is great since most surf brands have closed down their physical locations. They have racks on racks of awesome swimsuits and clothes. I love looking through all of their surf competition shirts. I think the last time we bought a surf comp shirt we even got the matching poster for free! I also bought my short fins here and was able to find a really cute pair. The service here was super nice and helpful when looking for a pair of fins. Now I'm in the market for longer freediving fins and this is the spot I'm gonna check out the next time I'm in Haleiwa.

My boyfriend and I have been trying to rent one board since Sunday and today it is Friday and we have STILL been unable to confirm our rental. I called Sunday and received a text in response to my call. They told me to text at this number for questions and reservations. I have been trying to set up my reservation ever since via text but the responses have been little to none. On Wednesday my boyfriend even e-mailed them, but it's been two days and still no response. Their main phone number just goes to voicemail, so then we tried to call the phone number we had been texting but someone answered saying "you have the wrong person", even though hours later they would respond to my text with the same number. We were really excited to stand up paddle board this week but now we won't be doing it anymore. I'm very disappointed. The communication was seriously the most unprofessional I've ever experienced. All I wanted was to rent one board. I don't know why they're not interested in doing so, or it's fine if they are not able to but they should have communicated that to me instead of leaving me on read on and off for the last 5 days.

The tone and treatment we received also made us uncomfortable as Asian guests. After sharing feedback, the company clarified in writing that they do NOT advertise or position this as a beginner-friendly snorkeling tour. Based on both that clarification and our experience, I would strongly recommend that beginners or families looking for clear instruction and attentive guidance consider other operators. We made our way back down, there was 3 groups paddling in by that time, + we saw a group spear fishing in front of the island! We headed back and we're able to turn our kayak in super quickly. It was said to be venomous and dangerous and we quickly walked away. It might not be as popular as other beaches in North Shore but it's still a really good one that has fewer people and just as much beauty.

Here at Kaiaka Bay - There aren't any paved walking paths but it's still fun to run around the the perimeter of park (dirt) or the paved road. There is plenty of parking. There are clean bathrooms and showers. There are BBQ areas and campground. There are several picnic tables, mostly shaded. I see people surfing and fishing here but have honestly never swam. I have spotted several turtles here. The park is located Haleiwa on Haleiwa Beach road, right next to Haleiwa Elementary School and is a great place to picnic at.

I was looking for something to do with my grandsons (age 7 and 11) while their parents were on an ATV ride. I found 808 SUP and thought it might be nice. None of us had been on a paddle board before. We signed up for the 60 minute SUP lesson. Jodi was great to work with and was very good at showing us what to do. We had a guide named Emily. She was fabulous with the boys and me. I would recommend her if you want a guide. She was very friendly and patient. While we out we decided to extend for the 2 hour trip. This was a fabulous adventure and I would recommend this company and we will use them again next year. Look them up!! read more

We were looking for a place to rent paddle boards and we came across 808 SUP. Jodi was very friendly and informative. The price was actually pretty good, too. We paddled around the jetty and up the river. This is a great place to see turtles, too. They also accept credit cards. You even get a free drink afterwards. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend 808 SUP for paddle boarding (but they also have surf board rentals and lessons as well). And there is also an outdoor shower really close to rinse the sand off your feet. read more
