Cute farm that was the meeting spot for the Plumeria farm tour. We checked in on yelp and there was a free snow cone coupon. They happily redeemed it. They have pet turtles on the farm and lots of picnic tables to relax. I frequent North Shore a lot and never noticed this farm. They rent kayaks and stand up boards. Lack of give a crap. No one to meet you there.. had to make a call to even get the gate open went to the food shack to try and learn about what was happening and where she wasn't much help. Tried to drive down to where we saw kayaks. Guy cutting grass had us back out of the area.. totally no coordination or direction. Won't take a viator excursion after this. (Jan 2024) What a great local gem and value. After 2 days in Honolulu/Waikiki it was like a breath of fresh air to head to the North Shore and Tsue's Farm was representative of the different vibe. Family owned, surrounded by nature, easy kayaking for all ages, and fantastic staff. "Rain" helped my wife and I and our 6 and 8 year old girls get set up and launched on their first kayaking experience. Life vests mandatory. Easy paddling up the river nearly to the ocean. Along the way we saw many fish, birds, and a few swimming sea turtles. We also saw sea turtles resting along the riverbanks. Afterwards we had the teriyaki chicken and coconut plate lunches included in the 1.5 hr kayak experience, both delicious. We enjoyed the company of chickens, cats and Monarch butterflies. We bought a refreshing shaved ice and a icy cool fresh coconut cut open and enjoyed delicious coconut milk and meat, all of which Rain made fresh to order. He also showed us features of the farm, let us feed a number of tortoises, and showed us where all the Monarchs were pupating. On the way out we grabbed a mason jar of awesome dragon fruit lemonade. We only had 2-3 hours to spend there and couldve spent another couple of hours exploring and enjoying the very chill atmosphere. Will definitely return if we make it back to Oahu. read more

I returned again with now my teenager son and his best friend to take our cousin who was visiting. Each of us decided to do the paddle board. None of us ever paddle board before. But after 1.5 hours of most wonderful riding along the river to the ocean and back it was even better than last time! We did canoes first time. This time paddle boarding. Definitely the paddle boarding was more fun! Cousin from NYC thought it was the highlight of her trip. We saw the historic Haleiwa bridge. Push jingle linened river, cool fresh water. It's was just awesome. Then we ate at the farm. The c Garlic Shrimp plate was to die for! They also sold star fruit straight from the farm. It was juicy and crisp. If you're looking to do some stand up paddleboarding, this is the place to go! We stopped by here on a Wednesday after doing a pillbox hike. There was literally no other people here, so I was a little nervous. But turns out it was perfect that way! Cost is $25 per person for 90 min of stand up paddleboarding. Honestly 90 min is a lot. We spent around 60 min. But it's super convenient here because they have a dock. The girl who helped us was super nice and took care of everything. She gave us a few pointers and we were on our way. I initially tried standing, but couldn't figure out how to turn and was in danger of hitting the vines on the side. So I just sat on my butt the whole time. No shame! You basically just go up and down the canal because the waters are somewhat calm. You could go out further past the little sandy beach area, but I definitely had no trust in my abilities. We only saw maybe 5 other people the entire time, so it was really peaceful. The absolute highlight was basically paddling next to a giant sea turtle! The girl said they might be seen if you paddle up the canal, so I kept my eyes peeled. I basically lost all hope of seeing one, but came face to face with probably a great great grandmother! I didn't want to disturb it so I just glided. It eventually swam beneath us which was super cool. read more

Honestly good to stop at to eat and also get a chance to do some activities and see the turtles. They've got good shrimp, and some shave ice to cool you down. We found this place due to recommendations from friends. The service there was BEYOND impeccable. They were not only great with the service, they helped us when they didn't have to when we found ourselves with a flat tire. Purchased this on Viator. Totally worth it. It only shows the price for Adults but it's also for kids. The price is the same for both. Took the family here and it was truly an amazing experience. Kayaking and paddle boarding was so fun. We had two person kayaks and paddle boards to go with the kids. In total we spent almost two hours here going up and down the river. We visited Tsue's Farm as part of a tour. It's a nice area that seems to be off the beaten path. It is quiet and beautiful. The farm has a stream that many paddle boarders were enjoying. Our tour guide called our orders in ahead of time and the food was ready on our arrival. The food was ok, I got the teriyaki chicken. They serve chicken thighs. There is a nice picnic area out back with ducks that are friendly and make visits to your table to say hi. There is also a little shave ice stand that I didn't visit but it is a great touch to the feel of the location. read more

We spent one morning kayaking (my daughter opted to paddle board) on the Anahulu River via Tsue's Farm in Haleiwa on the island of Oahu.The Anahulu River is 7.1 miles long. It is on the western side of the Koolau Mountain Range and empties into Waialua Bay at Haleiwa. We paddled a mile or so and saw locals catching big crabs along its banks. After our paddle, we enjoyed a delicious lunch of coconut shrimp, teriyaki chicken and noodles on the banks of the river, accompanied by some of the island's wild chickens and kittens. I have to admit, I've been a raging shrimp plate addict. This could be a real problem except, today is my last day on the island going back to Cali. Thankfully it will not last much longer, but I needed one last bite. Alright so I've probably consumed over ten shrimp plates at multiple locations since I've been in Hawaii. This is my second visit to Tsue's Farm since last summer and the garlic shrimp plate is still as good as I remembered it. Officially I would say this is the best in Oahu. Their spicy shrimp is on a whole other level. Some heat I can definitely handle and I'm not trying to compare it to Hot Cheetos or anything; but imagine your favorite spicy whatever it is that you can't seem to stop. Well their spicy garlic plate is so good, I didn't care if my mouth and lips were about to burst in flames. I got over it after putting a cool paper towel on my lips lol. I don't think there's anything out there that has the spicy punch with that garlic finesse. I feel like my whole purpose during this trip too, was to determine the best garlic shrimp plate. The rice, salad with light dressing and slice of piña is all great; but the way they make their shrimp is so succulent. The roughly chopped garlic in its sauce all over these huge shrimp pieces takes the cake. I really like how they make it easy for the shell to come off and they clean and devein them. I am all over this place and their shrimp. After an outstanding meal we had to fight the flies for, we went ahead and rented a kayak for a whole hour ($25). The water was really nice and calm. The deepest it gets is about 8-10 feet in the center. There are plenty life jackets available, just ask. I believe this is an estuary, where ocean meets lighter fresh water. It's beautiful kayaking through with a view of gorgeous endemic trees and plantation in various sizes and colors. Nature is so peaceful and one of a kind here. There are some school fish amongst other species of fish you can spot too. You can head all the way to rainbow bridge and admire the ocean and shoreline. Lots of shells and sea glass in the sand. This is really an ideal place to catch some sun and water, along with having the best you know what in North Shore. Anything that involves a relaxing outdoor water activity and a delicious $12 garlic shrimp plate is five stars in my book. read more

This farm is located on the north shore. We came here for a first birthday party. They had rented out the back area. It was really nice with lots of parking. They had tables set up. The entire farm was open and we could walk around and try different things. While we were here we decided that we would try kayaking. They have a nice long river connected to their property that goes out to the ocean. We rented a kayak for the three of us for an hour. They have some men that help you with the kayak and get you into it without tipping over. They also help you out when you get back. It was so nice and a lot of fun!! They also sell shave ice there, which was good. There's a big fish pond with turtles and lots of ducks. There's a sit down area for you to eat. It is overall a really fun, one stop shop. Definitely a great place to have a birthday party as well! Lots to do!! read more

We did the double kayak and had so much fun, the river is smooth and easy to navigate. After we came back we were treated to a shaved ice. So yummy!! We came here for the paddle boards (using the Oahu go-card) and had a BLAST! The owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and taught us how to paddle board like pros. I didn't know that there were turtles where we were so it was an awesome surprise! One even swam under my paddle board and popped up to breathe right next to my foot!!!!! I love that we had the option to paddle board the whole time or switch it up with the kayaks. Tip: you can also learn how to surf here which seems amazing. Just reopened after 2 years due to the pandemic. We used to come here to kayak as part of the YMCA family camp activities, but they stopped having it for a few years. We missed it, so we booked a group of 12 and was so impressed with the service, the aloha spirit, the food and the impeccable upkeep of the grounds. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and really took care of their customers. We loved the place so much we decided to stay to order plate lunches, fresh coconut drinks, and acai bowls. The food was so good and the coconut drink was an experience! First they cut off the top so you can drink the juice, then they husk it to the nut and open the nut so you can eat the meat. They also have a petting zoo and provide rental space for events. They have lots of shaded picnic benches and lounge chairs to eat and relax. They also have corn hole, giant connect four and other games to play for free. I highly recommended this spot for all ages to play, eat and spend leisure time next to the river! read more

I drove our ohana to Tsue's Farm 'cause my husband promised to show our granddaughter turtles. Drove in, no cars hmmm, come to find out they were actually closed. I wasn't aware of their hours. Nice lady there, who was starting up the sprinklers on one side, was very nice when I told her how I found out about this place (IG Mr Mean). We came to Tsue's farm as a part of the Go Oahu package. We called ahead to see if we had to make a reservation, but they told us to just stop on by whenever. If you have the Go card you could do both paddleboarding and kayaking, but we decided to just do paddleboarding. Boarding is pretty easy and I think most folks will be able to pick it up quickly. The water in the canal is very calm, so it's not hard to maintain balance. The highlight of boarding was seeing a couple of turtles. They were a lot bigger than I expected! I look forward to coming back to Tsue's the next time we visit Hawaii. read more

We arrived with a small group of 8 at the time of our reservation and at first thought that we would not be accommodated due to a large group that pulled up in a bus and all the equipment had been given out. We were driving up to north shore and decided to stop because of traffic. Must have been the best decision we made on our trip. We were able to paddle board even though we got 1/2 before closing time. The two ladies that work there (sad I wasn't able to get their name, but one was the owner) were so kind and patient. They didn't rush us because they wanted to leave, but made us feel like home. We had gone all around O'ahu looking for fresh coconuts and were unsuccessful. We told them our story as small talk and they went up and beyond to climb a tree for a fresh coconut. I am now leaving home feeling the true Hawaiian love.
