Great viewpoint of Mokoli'i from the park. Lots of area for BBQ and picnics. The park is rarely crowded and there is ample parking. Also next to Kualoa Ranch right across the street.

Another gorgeous beach!! Easy to get to. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises here. It felt like paradise! Warm sun, salty breeze, and the sound of the ocean whispering peace. Like a scene from a postcard. I'll definitely be revisiting this one.

This is a beautiful place to visit. They have a lot of different tours to choose from all the staff was super nice and they even have a café here that serves really good food. I would definitely come back again. We took the Jurassic Park movie tour and it was great seeing all the areas that were filmed in some of the movies. The grounds are beautiful just to go to drive around and the tour is awesome to see everything. our driver explained and had a good representation of everything that goes on here. This is A+ all the way.

Wow, beautiful! There was plenty of parking and a great place to stop for a picnic! The beach area is short, but great for a quick cool off and a gorgeous view!

This is a beautiful beach park with awesome majestic views of the mountains. We stopped by here while on a tour on 3/9/24. Our driver, Ian took a cool shot of us. He was just the best tour guide ever. The park feels so peaceful and it was a nice walk on a perfect day. We would've loved to stay longer but we're limited as we had many other places to visit. Well worth the visit! =)

Amazing views. Well kept park and beach. Great to walk or view. But... super busy and touristy. Come at off hours.. opening or closing. Well worth the visit.

Fabulous park on the coastline in Oahu. Stopped here on the way to Laie. Paradise where a grassy lawn and palm trees meet the shore. Totally could have just baked in the sun all day here. Glorious natural beauty all around. Easy place to go paddle boarding, kayaking or swimming.

I came to Koolau Regional Park for a yoga class, and it couldn't have been a better setting. Surrounded by lush greenery and mountain views, the park has a calm, welcoming vibe that made the practice really special. It's clean, spacious, and easy to get to. Only thing I'd say is bring water and sunscreen, it can get warm! Otherwise, highly recommend it for classes, walks, or just enjoying the scenery.

I used to come to Kualoa Beach Park with my hubby when we lived in Honolulu. It was one of our favorite spots for photography projects. Can I share a secret with you? It is one of the best people-watching places on the island. I love the spacious parking lots along the grassy park area. It's never a fee because it's operated by the State. In fact, I don't know if there were any beach park parking lots on the island that had a charge. Not sure about other states, but to my understanding, private businesses can't own a shoreline property in the State of Hawaii. Our usual route was from North Shore to Kahuku to Kualoa before going onto H3 in Kaneohe. I used the exact route on my recent visit to the island. I brought a friend from the mainland who has never been to the island and a friend who lives on the island. After eating all the good foods at food trucks in Kahuku, we were looking for public restrooms along the way to here. Ok, another secret. Kualoa has the best restrooms plus easy parking. What else can you ask for when nature's calling.

Was not very busy when we were hear. Great views on the beach and mountains. Plenty of photo ops whether you are just stopping through or wanting to spend more time enjoying the view.

While there's snow on the East Coast of the mainland USA, it's a breezy 80 degrees (in the middle of December) on the Windward side of Oahu Island in the 50th State! Yes! I took for granted my tropical paradise home. Traveling makes me appreciate our island lifestyle... Here's a look at one of our many neighborhood parks... Heeia is a laid back, residential district in Kaneohe. It's north of Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii. A popular park is Heeia Neighborhood Park because of the free parking, basketball courts, baseball field, children's playground equipment, and convenient restroom. There's even a few picnic tables - with attached benches - and water fountains! I'm just celebrating life in the Aloha State and wanted to share some sunshine with you wherever you are! What you see is what you get!…read more At first, I was just going to write a review to get this place on the grid. Then, I thought this review could serve a better purpose, so here goes... Plain and simple... This is just a park - no bells and whistles. No jungle gym. No picnic tables. Just a big, open, grassy area. Today, there were a few City Workers doing some maintenance on the chain link fence, so it was "safer". Sometimes, there are some unsavory characters lurking around. Instead, the feral chickens were roaming freely. Recently, a new parking lot was added to this property which is shared by the Kaneohe Public Library. An accessible pathway runs from the parking lot to the park, equipped with handrails. There's a functional restroom for men and women. The women's side has 2 stalls with doors. One stall had a large roll of Bathroom Tissue. The driveway could improve as it is steep and could used new pavement. Today, I also noticed that there were fresh white lines on the field, in anticipation of soccer season. The goal posts are usually present and ready for action. Now that I think about it, I really appreciate this park more since there were no parks like this in the neighborhood where I was raised. This park is a great addition to our community as it ultimately promotes teamwork and good sportsmanship. Our keiki can learn valuable life lessons here! Hawaii no ka oi!

What a BEAUTIFUL PARK!!!!…read more The Kaneohe District Park is kinda out of my way, as I don't live on the windward side of Oahu, but I mainly came here today as I had to get tested for Covid-19, and this Kaneohe location had some open appointment slots which I was able to secure. Since I don't live in Kaneohe, I had to do a quick search on Yelp & used the Yelp app. to guide me to the Kaneohe District park which was about 15 miles away from my house (not too bad at all). Upon arriving at the park, I didn't realize that the park covers two sides. When I say "two sides" I mean the Kaneohe District park is actually separated between a main street thoroughfare. From what I could see, the park had a very nice gymnasium, tennis courts, (4) baseball diamonds, supah LARGE grass field that can be used for either soccer, or football, a skateboard park, basketball courts, & a jungle gym for the little ones. Parking here is plentiful, and there were comfort stations on both sides of the park for your convenience. If I lived close by to this park, I could see myself coming here with Makana everyday. But since it's a wee bit out of my way to get here, just to visit the Kaneohe District Park and see what's going on here is cool by me!

First of all, I couldn't find the entrance to this Park. The directions on my GPS led me to a dead end street. I had to move the pin on the Yelp app to the place where Kapunahala District Park is located on the map. Editing has been submitted! There is a building with a sign that reads "Kapunahala Playground". Maybe this place was a "Playground" before it became a "Park". I'm not sure since Kaneohe is not my Hometown... I just live here... haha! I guess you would normally enter this Park either from the Kapunahala Elementary School side or the from the set of stairs that lead up to the playground from Anoi Road. It was empty except for a guy walking his dog at 7:30am on a Saturday. There were some feral chickens roaming around the large grassy area. The paved volleyball court is waiting for a net and the two paved basketball courts also look inviting. The only thing is that it's not covered, so when it rains - and it rains unexpectedly - it'll get messy... That's why the restroom is convenient - along with the water fountains. The baseball area has two dugouts and two sets of bleachers for the audiences. There's also a jungle gym for the younger children - it's nice and colorful with a padded ground! This park looks relatively safe and has many options for families with tables and benches for picnics. I'll check it out again some weekend when people are around and report back! TTFN!
