It was our first time visiting the island, and he immediately made us feel welcome. When we mentioned we were new to the area, he walked us over to the map and took the time to explain the different spots around the North Shore and where we should go. Christian was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many helpful tips and pointers. You could tell he truly knew what he was talking about, and he explained everything in a way that made us feel confident and excited to explore. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and left the shop feeling prepared. The most impressive part is that we later found out he had just started working there and is only 17 years old. The level of professionalism, knowledge, and genuine kindness he showed at such a young age is remarkable. The owners of North Shore Surf Shop are very lucky to have him on their team, and we wanted to make sure his effort didn't go unnoticed. The shop itself has everything you need for a fun day exploring the island. We rented snorkel gear for $20 each for the day, which was such a great deal. We also added life vests for $10 each, which gave us extra peace of mind while we were out in the water. They also have lockers available for $10, which was super convenient for storing our belongings while we were out snorkeling. The entire rental and return process was very smooth and seamless. It is such a relaxing ride along the coast as the waves crash along the shore and the breeze off the ocean keeps us cool. The staff has always chosen the perfect temperament horses for us and after our ride, my legs aren't killing me like it had on other rides. This is our go to place to ride when we are on Oahu!

I wrote in the time that I wanted to start which was 1230 pm. I show up at 1230 exactly and go to check in at the outpost Hut. The 2 guys inside the Hut tell me they didn't see my reservation and they rented out all their balls to a group that just came in..... So...we had to WAIT until the group was finished to get the balls to play.... On top of that, I paid $10 per person to play, and the guy in the hut tells me there's only 6 or 7 holes available since they use the course to pop fireworks off of. New years was about a week ago!! You're telling me, you're too lazy to put back the holes for a whole week?! Cmon man..... Then, I ask for a cart to put all our stuff in and he tells me that they don't rent out carts but that I could get one at the golf hut. So my mom walks all the way over to the golf hut for them to tell her that they don't rent out golf carts for soccer golf......?! So then after all of this, the guy in the outpost hut tells me he will refund me the balls we rented as a way to make up the unfinished course and the time we had to wait for the balls to come back. That was nice of them.....except for the fact that he didn't do it!!! He was straight up lying. Bc i kept checking my account and I didn't see no refund pending from them.... So I waited 2-3 days then I finally call them back checking up on the refund. Explain the whole thing and I'm pretty sure the guy who answered the phone was the same guy who told me he would refund it to me the day of my reservation! So he puts me on hold and tells me that a manager has to be the one to refund me. So why did that guy in the outpost hut tell me he was refunding me if he really wasn't?!?! To top it all off, the course looks like crap. And they don't even have a score card to give you. Good thing I took a picture of their somewhat course layout so I knew where the heck I was going. The course is literally just grass that is so overgrown and bumpy that you cannot even call it foot golf. Save yourself time and don't go here.

Zero callbacks or updates on my repairs and parts that I'm waiting on. Not these guys! OMG! I brought my bike in with a part to install. I had to order the part myself because the other shop never called me to let me know that it was back ordered until September and I had a look somewhere else. I found that out by calling the manufacturer myself. I dropped this off and they told me it would take 72 hours to repair and they called me back in 24 hours and said it was done! Excellent service and excellent customer service. Skip the other bike shop that may have a big name and multiple locations. This is where customer service lives!
