We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Non-Stop Travel (NS). From the start, we told NS we wanted to travel with friends, and we also wanted to upgrade our flights. We booked our Oceania Transoceanic cruise about 18 months in advance - plenty of time to coordinate - but none of our request were handled properly. NS blamed Oceania for the travel arrangements, yet Oceania only comunicates through the travel agent leaving us stuck with NS and no real help. To make matters worse, we (friends and us) were assigned different travel advisors at NS who did not communicate with each other. Our friends and us ended up with cabins on opposite ends of the ship. We both paid for Business Class upgrades; we were booked on different airlines with different itineraries. Wrong information given to us. Communication was poor - excuses, delays and no accountability or taking responsibility. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Non-Stop Travel. If you want clear communication and a company that actually listens, look elsewhere. If you are considering an Oceania cruise, book directly with Oceania. read more

We just got back from our 7-day Alaska cruise, and it was truly awesome! But more importantly, we had an awesome Tour Manager in Mia Frey. She was organized, competent and easy to speak to. Our cabin had a "stinky" odor originating from the shower drain and after several unsuccessful confrontations with the NCL staff, we finally spoke to Mia. She immediately met with the 2 top brass people and resolved the smelly problem. She even got NCL to issue us an on-board credit to compensate the burden we experienced. This is a long overdue review of an amazing experience. To be completely transparent, my husband and daughter decided to book this tour and I had no idea of what they booked. With that said, when I looked at the itinerary, I asked "why"? My daughter's response was "I want to see the monkeys!" I've been in the hospitality industry for a really long time. When it comes to travel, I'm always looking for a deal on everything from transportation to hotels. However, paying retail for this tour was worth the price because I was able to enjoy every moment of it without any worries at all. The tour that we signed up for was for Off the Beaten Path: A Different Side of Japan Spring Break Tour that took us to see Sado Island, Snow Monkeys, Nagoya, Hakone and Tokyo. Personally, I have been to Japan only once before, and wasn't sure of what to expect. I was more than pleasantly surprised. We flew Japan Airlines, which was wonderful and all of the hotels that we stayed at were quality locations. I have been on school group tours, but never on a regular group tour. Our tour manager, Pam Tegan was fantastic. You would never have guessed that it was her first solo tour. She took care of all of us (36 people, including kids to senior travelers). Our group was terrific because without saying, everyone understood the 'to be early is to be on time' concept. Our JTB tour guide, Nagi, shared her enthusiasm, knowledge, humor, and passion about the areas we visited. Both Pam and Nagi were professional, organized, caring and great listeners. We had specific things that we wanted to do (like going to Jin's to get prescription glasses) and they kept our requests in mind and told us about where and when on the tour would be the best for us to get what we wanted. Between Pam and Nagi, they really went above and beyond to care for each person in the group. Going on this tour in mid-March happened to be perfectly timed for most of the "gotta see" stops on the tour. The weather was great for most of the tour dates. It was cool and during the bus ride, we experienced a clear viewing of Mt. Fuji (which we were told does not happen all the time). This tour provided us with a different perspective of life in Japan outside of the tourist spots that most people talk about. We visited small towns, learned a lot about the history of Sado Island, experienced hands-on soba making, sushi making, and made inlaid wooden coasters. It was pretty amazing even for the non-crafters. One of the unexpected highlights of the tour for me was a visit to the Toyota museum. I am not into cars and couldn't help but wonder why we're stopping at a car museum. This museum shared, not just a history of Toyota, but the history of the automotive industry in Japan. For those of you who are car enthusiasts, the vehicles displayed were absolutely beautiful. It took my breath away. On the other side of the activities, of course we were in Japan so there was a lot of walking. My family was not looking forward to the 30 minute walk from the bus to the gate of the snow monkey park. But I have to tell you, it was worth the hike. The hike was picturesque and the path was gradual for the most part. The weather was ideal for the snow monkeys to make their way to the onsen. It was a delightful experience. Yes there was shopping but the charm of this tour was the back roads experience, dressing in kimonos, three kaiseki meals and of course, deep soaks in onsens. We were also blessed with sharing time with amazing families on the tour. The icing on the cake was we had a professional photographer traveling as part of our group. We shared our pictures via an app called photo circle. Although my photos were OK, we were able to also see all of the wonderful pictures that he took as well. The bus rides were a little longer than I expected, but there were a lot of rest stops and good food along the way. For me, this trip did exactly what it was supposed to ... take my mind off of work and the stress of every day. I was able to enjoy my family and meet wonderful new people. As we landed back in Hawaii and said goodbyes, I took many incredible memories with me that will last for a very long time. How much did we really enjoy the trip? We left Honolulu Airport on 1-30-2025 with Non-Stop Travel. Our group is off to a great start with the majority arriving at JAL before 8:30 a.m. Lee Ann LF , our group guide and Evan from NST were present. Our flight to Haneda was smooth as we left HNL in a downpour of rain. When the plane landed and we cleared customs an assistant rep was out of customs with a sign. We dropped our bags and met via shuttle bus to Terminal 1 for our next flight to Okinawa. At Gate 7 we were presented with very eye and tummy pleasing bentos. An announcement was just made that our flight is delayed due to late arrival of our aircraft. Excited to see how our tour proceeds. So far, excellent more coming tomorrow. read more

My sister and I took our first overseas vacation and thought it be the safest to go with a tour group. I'm glad we chose Non-Stop. Once we got to the airport, it felt like our trip was white-glove service throughout. Our tour manager was Estrella R. She met us at the airport with spam and salmon musubis! She's so sweet and knowledgeable about S Korea, especially shoppjng and eating. We chose the K-Wave and K-pop tour package. First off, I'm old but not retired, but getting there. Majority of the 32 travelers were retired but they're in great shape. S Korea is a hilly country. If you walk up a hill, you gotta walk down. If you walk down stairs, you gotta walk back up, including getting back to your seat in the bus. By the end of day 1, I was exhausted + jet lagged. It was a pre-cursor to what was to come. This particular package was great. It had a little bit of everything, history, art, museums, great hotel accommodations, 27-MEALS!!, bidets, shopping, movie sets and BTS, have you heard of them? This trip is both faced paced and leisurely depending on the day and sites you'll be visiting. I am looking forward to going back to S Korea and booking with Non-Stop to other Asian destinations. We went to japan Sandra and coco was so amazing well organized we stayed in luxury hotels and every hotel that we stayed in it was arranged where our luggage was pick up in front of our room and transferred to the next hotel. Every place we go coco and Sandra would do head counts. And riding jal airlines was the best airlines. Plus the buffets. Coco was very knowledgeable on the history of japan any questions we had she go's the extra mile and my free day she had friends the ride was cheaper. read more

We had a wonderful visit to 2 countries on this tour. Fabulous sights and good accommodations and planned meals. The local tour guide was excellent. We've usually arranged our own itinerary for past travels but decided it's time to book an escorted tour for ease. While we loved having everything coordinated, traveling with a large group has its downsides. We knew that going in. But I wanted to share some concerns we had about the NS escort. She was very friendly and she did look out for the group. She assisted the local guide in keeping us together and on track and was caring in helping those in our group who seemed to need extra assistance. But we felt her approach could be toned down a bit. There needs to be more thought in how to communicate to the group in public areas where other people are visiting. Yelling loudly is a little inconsiderate to the local community. I felt badly on walking tours through small market places where locals were sitting at cafes having a meal or during early morning hours when they might still be asleep. Korea trip from Oct 17th to 27th with Nonstop travel was awesome! Our tour guide was Estrella and she was the BEST! She took very good care of us and went out of her way to make sure we were happy with the foods and shopping experiences. She took hundreds of pictures of us and posted it on her site for us to access. Our local guide in Korea was Ashley. Ash was very knowledgeable and funny at times. She kept me interested throughout the entire tour. The other people on the tour were great. At times, I got to eat with the other members and conversed like we were old friends. I like traveling on tours because everything is planned out and I can just relax and enjoy. Meeting new people is awesome. Nonstop has never disappointed my wife and I. My next trip will probably be back to Japan to see the Cherry blossoms, of course with Nonstop travel. read more

"Traveling - it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller." -Ibn Battuta I was bitten by the "travel bug" during my young adult days when my father worked part-time as a tour guide to Southeast Asia and China after he retired from a long career. I suppose that his multi-lingual skills (English, Tagalog, Mandarin, Cantonese and German) and his travelogue storytelling inspired me create my bucket list to travel the World. Fortunately, my work took me to many domestic and International locations where I'd often make my own travel arrangements, itineraries and learn to make discoveries independently. However, since I'm no longer working, I have learned that there are many benefits in contacting a travel agent especially as I'm crossing off more destinations from my bucket list. We sought out Non-Stop Travel Advisor, Kristina Ballina, to help us arrange for a tour to one of the few places left on my bucket list, Japan. We met with Kristina a couple of times and felt comfortable with her as she presented us with several packages for the Fall Season which includes air, sea (if any), ground transportation, hotels and meals. We also wanted a package which would allow us some free time in addition to the planned itinerary. Kristina's descriptions were thorough which helped us toward making a decision. She also gave us a short description of the tour guide of the package that we selected and we felt even more comfortable. We settled upon a tour that both me and my husband are comfortable with and we are looking forward to an informative, relaxing and luxurious tour of Japan's history, culture, scenery and cuisine. We booked & paid for 2 separate itineraries for our famiy on non-stop Korea/Japan. NS combined our 2 itineraries into one for all our land hotel stays. We were crammed into one room at the start & end of out trip. One of our 6' tall male traveler couldn't fit on the roll away bed. We tried to get NS to give us 2 rooms for each iitinerary. NS refused, & gave us misinformation about us being made aware of this. Well, that was a lie. The owner said we had been informed via email. He couldn't provide the email when we asked to see it. Liar! We had been in contact with NS many months in advance to inform them of our need to have both land rooms & cruise suites in acceptable proximity of each other. We inquired about these room on multiple occasions and NS kept giving excuses and not been forthcoming. NS avoided communicating with us and ended up cheating us for what we paid for. Our experience with NS was terrible. Don't book with NS. You'll get honesty and much better communication and genuine care elsewhere. They deserve zero stars. Beware! I just looked at the overall rating for Non-Stop Travel. Their one-star ratings are off the chart! Wow! Go elsewhere for your tours if you want upfront honest communication, and a company that respects and value you. There's more I could tell you but for us, we will never use NST! read more

Just returned from April 22 - May 11, 2024 Peru Splendors, Machu Picchu, Amazon River & Galapagos Package. BLUF, if you are somewhat used to air travel, forget booking through Non-Stop Travel (NST). I strongly suggest looking for the local tour company, which is, in this case, Globus (or Globusjourneys). The only thing NST did was to take you to Lima, and handed the group over to Globus. I'm not sure what the "NST Tour Manager's" responsibilities are, but the only thing this person did, was occasionally check to see if everyone was present, and this was really only if the local tour director (Globus) was not present. My understanding was that the NST Tour Manager (TM) is unpaid by NST and thus by definition, is not a professional. This information was brought up by Gene Miyake, managing director of NST, during the pre-tour orientation and seemed to us, a solicitation for tips. The TM mostly acted like one of the tour customers, and seemed to just be on a $10,000 tour for free with minimal knowledge or management abilities. It seemed to me that the TM had very limited travel experience, as members of the tour group frequently had to correct a number of misdirection. For example, at MIA, the TM directed the group to wait for the Hotel shuttle bus at arrival level instead of the departure level of the airport, where all hotel and RAC buses go. The TM had to be prompted by tour members to check with the hotel for the correct pickup area. The information on baggage limitations for local airlines and the Machu Picchu train were totally incorrect, and we were able to check-in (for aircraft) or carry on (on the train) substantially more than what NST had informed us at the pre-tour briefing. As a not so side note, the food provided for the "Hosted Pre-departure Luncheon" was at best pitiful, a take-away box, with a little bit of chow-mein, fried rice, a few pieces or fried chicken, and a bit of beef broccoli. It was plastic wrapped, probably so that you cannot look at it until later, after you had left. NST travel itself books you on the cheapest possible airline and route in the cheapest possible seats. We had to insist on getting the airline confirmation number so that we could at least upgrade to Main Cabin Plus seats. They issued the tickets as close to possible to the tour date, substantially after the refundable cancellation dates. The also wanted cash or check only for the air portion. That means, that is you have a credit card that provides travel insurance, you have to get travel insurance separately. And NST wants you to, or course, go through them to get the insurance. The only upgrade offer for the Galapagos cruise was one level, while a number of the tour members, us included, were able to upgrade to balcony level, once onboard the ship. This was only possible as the ship was only just over 25% capacity. Again, the TM was not helpful at all. The above is just some of the shortcomings we experienced with NST and the TM. We will never book with them again. If you are more comfortable with pre-arranged tours, and there is nothing wrong with that, I suggest that you book through the destination tour operator, rather than through Non-Stop Travel. read more

Second review: in response to Gene informing me that Les hasn't been affiliated with NST in over 10 years. I should've mentioned that my experiences with NST were 13 plus years ago. NST's insistence on standing their ground over minor glitches costs them referrals from people like me. If I love a place or a person I'll share their contact info for years!!! Read my other reviews to verify. The fact that the errors and misunderstandings occurred isn't why I left 2 stars: I'm a reasonable and rational person and I try to support local. If I feel valued and feel like employees and management are making an honest effort, I give them a chance and won't talk bad about a business. The reason I wrote this was because on all three occasions the errors or misunderstandings were simple things that could've been easily resolved and goodwill preserved. For the missing voucher, they could've reimbursed me but they tried blame-shifting and gaslighting (telling me maybe I didn't really order ground transportation...c'mon!) For the future credit situation, the employee and I were outside because the situation was getting heated and she could have escalated my request herself but dismissed me, thus I called a radio station to be acknowledged. Even for the incorrect cabin, which they understandably couldn't correct due to the cruise being full, if they had just had a little more sincerity and maybe given us a perk to offset our disappointment that would've gone a long way toward creating possible future business and referrals. I've got decades in the hospitality and self-care industries and the bottom line is: if you've got a reasonable person seeking resolution try to see their side of it, even if you eat a couple of bucks most people will remember that in a good way. NST was unnecessarily defensive, denied responsibility, projected blame, questioned my motives, didn't try to do the right thing. I've gotten more aloha from East Coast travel agencies and online travel chat bots than I received from NST I'm usually willing to give people and organizations more chances, so if my family members enjoy their upcoming tour I might try NST again, but for now, my 2 stars stand. read more

Non-Stop needs to work on valuing their guests and learning the importance of establishing goodwill. Tried NST 3x and each time we felt we would've done better booking everything ourselves! 1st time: booked an air/ground/hotel/meals package for myself to Vegas. Upon booking, the agent was very thorough in describing how to find the correct ground transportation in Las Vegas. I walked with a large group of NST travelers and at the shuttle realized my booklet didn't have a shuttle ticket, and my name wasn't on the shuttle manifest. Person with a clipboard suggested I pay cash, save receipt and contact NST for reimbursement, which i did. Upon contacting NST, instead of reimbursing me, they told me I didn't buy the shuttle ticket, I should have asked for it, I should've checked my documents more throroughly, etc. I thought that by signing up for the all inclusive deal the shuttle was part of it, and why would the agent have given me extensive directions on how to find the shuttle if I wasn't taking it? They didn't reimburse me and wouldn't tell me if I had paid less than all the others in the group. I vowed to not work with them again. 2nd time: I decided to give NST a second chance when they had the best rates for part of my travel to a conference. Then I had an injury and doc suggested postponing travel. I was well within the proper time to receive a voucher for future travel but agent/employee D kept telling me No Refunds, even though I said I'm just looking for a future travel credit and willing to pay the processing fee, she told me my purchase didn't qualify, even though it clearly said so on the folder, and she kept using the word refund and got upset, shaking her head and pointing her finger and a pen at me saying that what my travel documents said about credit didn't apply to this particular purchase. She got unprofessional, so I left and called KSSK to speak with Michael W. Perry who promotes them. Michael called Gene Miyaki and I got my credit. 3rd time: We took a family cruise to Alaska, and I was allowed to use my travel credit, so that was good. I had no questions for Les, but told him the most important, and only thing I wanted was an ocean view with a picture window (not a porthole) and I made my deposit. I mentioned the picture window 2-3x and pointed to the photo. Les agreed it was a good choice, made my deposit and left. Closer to cruise date, my mom surprised us by paying for our cruises, which was so sweet, and I didn't communicate with NST nor did I double check the booking (I should've known better!!) and when we got on board we had a cabin with a port hole. I tried speaking with guest relations...no picture windows available. I asked asking our escort and he said he can't do anything, asked him to call Les to check on our booking and see if they can do anything to compensate us for our disappointment. Escort said it's a done deal and just try to enjoy the vacation. Escort then changed the subject and started talking about the restaurants on board and walked off. Nothing. I called Les from the cruise, paying roaming fees and Les said yeah sorry, he forgot but don't worry they didn't charge us for the picture window and at least it's a nice porthole, right? It was at the waterline half underwater. (I later learned that Les had likely booked us a "guaranteed outside cabin") On top of that, our cabin was the last cabin at a dead end, one way in, one way out and there were 2-3 large service carts parked outside our door at all hours. We had a stroller at the time and had to unfold/fold the stroller down the hall because there wasn't room to push the stroller past all the carts and there was nowhere for us to move the carts, so we needed to carry our sleeping child and our pool gear each time we entered or exited our cabin. It also felt like a fire hazard with blocked halls. I would've been cool with a less desireable cabin if we'd gotten a last minute deal, but we had booked far in advance so we could get the class we wanted, which we didn't. I understand that this was an error, but an onboard credit, a special meal, or a comp visit to the thermal spa would've been a nice gesture. I'm thankful we booked our own air and hotel for this cruise because we got a better price, better hotels, better schedule than the people who took NST's air and hotel add-on Just got invited to an NST tour with some family. Didn't say anything as they'd already paid when they invited, but we're planning to do the same trip at the same time independently and I'm curious to see if we'll have a better experience at a better price. The staff at Non-Stop Travel are great. They have great tour travel programs that has a combination of different locations, tours, places to eat along with a tour escort. Having all of this gives you the greatest bang for the buck. This just occurred a few days ago. My 84-year old mother gave Mika her charge card number over the phone believing it was being held till she could see if her passport would process in time for her possible trip. Mom called the VERY NEXT MORNING to say her passport would in all likely hood NOT BE READY therefore decided not to embark on the supposed trip. The woman Mika sarcastically and condescendingly told her that her card was already charged and she would lose the $2000 deposit and if she decided to cancel, she would be charged an additional $75. Mika gave her no contract or agreement to boot, she simply coerced and scammed an elderly woman on a fixed income out of $2000 and further threatened her of an additional $75 charge if she changed her mind. THIS IS TOTALLY CRIMINAL AND TAKING ADVANTAGE FRAUDULENTLY OF THE ELDERLY. I will try to help her with reversing this fraudulent charge with her credit card company. This company must be investigated for their seedy, unprofessionalism when doing business...SHAMEFUL and NO HONOR. Stay away from this company! UPDATED SAME DAY AFTER OWNER's RESPONSE: What bank fees are you referring too? Mom charged it on her credit card which can easily be credited, all businesses are aware of this especially in view of how long you've been in business. Do not send a check as she does not want to be waiting months on end as your other ONE STAR unhappy customers. Please simply credit her card. You promised to refund her the full $2000. We paid about $20,000 for 2 of us plus insurance for a 10 day premium tour that Gene Miyaki promised would be extraordinary. We paid the price in good faith because of promises made. My question to Gene Miyake is why can't you even respond? You promised this to everyone that you would do so. I personally talked to you, man to man at the airport about my concerns and you said you would get back to me in a week. It has been about 2 months since this promise was made. Why are you hiding from us? What kind of business are you running? You have ads that makes a lot of promises and you can't even keep your promise to respond to Shareen S, Bev N, and A A. Booked n placed a deposit for the alaska cruise in May. WE had to make several calls to Kathleen for updates. We were told cruise was canceled after WE called for in February. Princess deposits were refunded and we are still awaiting a refund from NST (almost 3 weeks now). I emailed Kathleen and got no response. Just called the ofc and was told she's going to lunch. Every ten years, the little town of Oberammergau in Germany performs "The Passion Play" in thanksgiving for saving them from the Plague. I was able to go to Oberammergau in 2010, with the help of Non-Stop Travel. My mom had gone on this tour in 2000 and enjoyed it, so I wanted to go, too! Since I was in Europe, I figured that I should see some other countries. Coordinating Austria, Belgium, Italy, England, France, Amsterdam, Switzerland, and Germany in three weeks would be an overwhelming endeavor for me. I just want to look around, eat, and enjoy my vacation instead of worrying about transfers and hotel reservations! I really appreciate Non-Stop Travel for taking care of all of our arrangements for that trip in the past. They hooked me up with a larger mainland tour group. All along, they have been sending me brochures in the mail and keeping in touch these past six years. Now, I'm thinking of going on another adventure with them. Since that time, they have moved office to the ground floor of the Atlas Building on King Street. Enter from Young Street for the validated covered parking. Presentations are held on most Saturdays - depends on if you're looking at a "River" Cruise (China, Europe, Egypt, etc.) or "Ocean" Cruise such as Alaska. Even though presentations start at noon, go at 11:30am for the "light lunch". We had the chow funn, beef broccoli, roast chicken, rice, and pork chops. YUM! Upstairs, all of the brochures are available for your research. The restroom is downstairs, so plan accordingly. The air conditioner was working well, so a light jacket may be in order since you'll be sitting for 2 hours. The presentation starts with a video, then a summary of what to expect, and then a question/answer session. It's very organized! Are you interested in a cruise? After a very long delay, finally got to go in a Japan Tour with Non-Stop. Had paid in full for the Grand Hokkaido Snow Festival tour last taste but pandemic reared it's ugly head a second time and Japan closed down again. Finally opened and we finally made it! First. Non-Stop gave an extra $100 bonus due to the unexpected cancellation I'd the 2022 tour. Hurray! They had an orientation lunch again, which was very helpful. They even provided our ice cleats so we wouldn't have to spend time shopping for them on our first full day. Nice! Local Tour guide Andy Lau was good. Japan Tour guide Reiko was very good. In addition to explaining and narrating where we were going, she did research and shared cultural info with us on the bus almost daily. Would recommend both. Would enjoy having them both as guides again. Only improvements/suggestions: A little more oversight and communications with everyone at the airports and hotels (when departing) by Andy. We were a large group and couldn't ask easily sit or stand nearer him to hear everything. For Reiko, info on the plants as we drive by would have been nice. I should have asked, but a quick stop (when there was no vehicle behind) to take a quick picture (from inside the bus) of the many deer we passed would have been nice. This tour is more an eating tour than a snow festival tour! Almost all meals were included. Most breakfasts and dinners were awesome buffets with fresh seafood. Great for Hawaii folks who love raw seafood. Note - if you don't care for seafood, request up front for alternate meals because some of the lunches were seafood bowls. Someone couldn't eat seafood and Reiko made sure they had alternate meals at all the specialty type lunch restaurants. She also made sure a family group of six always had a table to be able to eat together. Sapporo snow festival was nice. You have to go at night to see the larger sculptures lit up. I've hada video superimposed over it - awesome! The little light and ice festivals at other locations were ok. Again - this was a food tour! Hotels are a mix if traditional Japanese (futons on floor) and western. Onsens (mineral spas) at the hotels that had them were awesome! Tip - older folks who need it should ask for western beds even at the traditional hotels. Also ask does two futons through your guide ahead of time. Much better than just one... One other general improvement recommendation - office could help more with adding airline mileage numbers and KTNs. It's hectic since everyone must check in on their own so it's hard to make sure all these things are done. ; Even our guide didn't have his info in and had to ask the airlines to add them. Having this done takes some of the stress is checking at the airport less. They could also be a bit more personable when on the phone. Will be traveling with Non-Stop again! Already booked for a tour to Iceland this December, and plan to try and go one the National Park tour in 2024. read more

I just took my wife on the Cherry Blossom Korea Land Tour a few weeks ago. This was the first time I went on a structured tour, as I like to have control of my trips. Overall the tour was great. Our Korean guide (Joomi) was soooo incredible in every aspect. The cherries blossomed and the weather was good. Our bus driver, Mr. Chun was amazing. The schedule of the tour was paced perfectly and I feel we did and saw a much more than if I'd gone on my own. The hotels were excellent and the food was good. The subtraction of two stars was primarily how they handle the airfare. As a plus size model I asked about being able to select my airline seats prior and during the purchase. Shouldn't be a problem since it was 8 months in advance. The office staff said it wouldn't be a problem. When we were given our travel packets I noticed that airline seats were not provided. I contacted our travel guide and also the office. I was unable to get any info and the office lady told me it doesn't matter because she wouldn't be able to change the seats. Anyway, turns out that the long round trip flights along with the two short inner Korean flights were basically as if we were flying standby. It was obvious that everyone was put into available seats scattered throughout economy class. Luckily the flight to Korea wasn't that full and my wife and I were able to get acceptable seats together while checking in at the airport. On the return trip I was initially assigned in the middle of the middle in the back, and my wife was in the middle four rows in front of me. Many of the others in the tour were scattered and separated from their spouses. A 14 year old girl was even seated separate from other family members. Anyway, to me that subtracts the two stars and I definitely will not do Non-Stop again. It would also be nice to purchase the package with a credit card, even if I had to pay the fee. Zero stars is not possible so we'll have to go with one...If you are planning on traveling I would NOT recommend working with this company. With the current state of the world and the COVID-19 pandemic, travel companies should be more understanding and flexible with cancellations and refunds for trips considering that no one could have predicted the current world situation My grandpa, grandma and four of their friends booked a tour to Japan for April 2020 and paid for the trip in September 11th 2019 with this company. That makes this trip paid in full seven months in advance, before the pandemic was an issue. My grandpa (81 years old) attempted to contact the company from February and was assured it would still be safe to travel. Mind you, he along with the rest of his classmates are in the 79+ age group. They all were concerned for their health. Finally, the tour was cancelled last minute in mid-March. When they were finally notified of the trip cancellation from Non-Stop Travel, they attempted to get a refund. Numerous emails, written letters, phone calls and messages were left with no response from Non-Stop Travel. The company responded ONCE, saying that they were easiest to reach by email...it is currently MAY, a month and a half from the date of cancellation. My grandfather received a partial refund. His classmates on the other hand have received nothing back. This is turning into taking advantage of the elderly who don't know how to reach out in other ways. Despite the numerous attempts of contact from each of the people who were going on this trip, Non-Stop Travel is continuing to send out travel emails to "Book Your Next Trip!". Is this the way a well advertised travel agency should be treating their customers? If the answer is yes, then go right ahead and "Book Your Next Trip!" Please read this review and be safe not sorry, because if you book and the unexpected happens, then you may not be getting your money back. read more

We went to Japan for the first time pre- Covid and took island tour of Kyushu. We were fortunate to see Cherry blossoms blooming everywhere! Staff at NonStop were friendly and tour was memorable. Sunny the Japanese tour manager was especially impressive with her knowledge of Kyushu and the sites. We highly recommend Non Stop Travel. They took care of every detail so you don't need to worry. 5 of us booked with Non-Stop Travel and paid IN FULL via check (They do not take credit card)\ The payment just for my husband and I was over $9,000.00!! It has been over TWO YEARS and they still refuse to give us our refund and we just keep getting the run-around! Our last correspondence with Gene Miyake the owner, was a letter on Aug. 26, 2021 and it stated, "Non-Stop Travel is working diligently to process your request for a refund. We will communicate with you before 9/20/21. Thank-you very much for your patience." (From Gene Miyake). We have not heard 1 word of communication in any way. Well our patience has RUN OUT and we will now proceed legally because enough is enough. Has anyone else had the same experience? 2 of 2 4. Professionalism was lacking after NST received our payment All professionalism and communication went out the door once NST received your payment. We were told by the NST agent after payment that any/all questions were to be put on hold until our Intro Lunch and that our assigned "NST travel agent" would be able to address all of our concerns. However, the interactions with our travel agent prior to the trip were not helpful in getting us prepared for the trip: 03Sep23 - NST Tour Group luncheon. It was insulting to be put in a small restaurant (Maple Garden) with TWO Separate tour groups (ours to Japan and the other to Europe). The two tour guides stood back-to-back and yelled all the information for their separate tours. It was impossible to hear our guide over the other guide, so we missed most of the details and couldn't hear the other group members as they introduced themselves. We got absolutely no information from this "meeting." In addition, our own tour guide did not show, but when we requested a short email on the information we missed, we received nothing and were told that that was how they hold all their intro meetings! 10Sep23 - Conference call with our tour guide. Requested a list of important items we may have missed during the chaotic lunch with several other questions regarding use of the Disney & Universal apps, seating arrangements, ability to view our tickets, etc. We had to send a reminder email for a follow-up and did not receive any satisfactory answers. 06Oct23 - Meeting travel group to depart HNL to Tokyo. No one in our group had received an email or text from our NST travel agent since the luncheon fiasco. Those that tried to text her that morning did not receive any response. For at least an hour after our set meet-up time at the airport, we wondered as a group who was going to check us in. 13Oct23 - Unprofessionalism to the end. At the end of the trip and a difficult last day schedule, our NST travel agent was unhelpful. Unprofessional: Going through Japan's TSA, we mistakenly carried a bottle of water through and had it thrown away. Your NST agent yelled from several stands away "No water through TSA!" How embarrassing! Poor Communication: At HNL, she took all our bags without informing us. Several families were extremely exhausted, wanting to go home to shower & rest, and still had to scramble around looking for their luggage unnecessarily. The members of our tour group were excellent. We deserved much better from NST. For anyone considering a trip to Japan to visit the theme parks, we recommend staying on the Disney property to visit Disneyland Tokyo and Disney Sea, then move to Kyoto for Universal Studio Japan. Spend a couple of days at each, reap the privileges of staying on property and you will have more time to enjoy it with your family. read more

Don't waste your hard earned money. We should have done our homework. As retired travelers, my husband and I thought we'd try going through a travel service to save the time and effort in planning our vacation. I think we could have done a better job as we had always done before. Where do I start!! First, we were NOT given any information after we made payment in June 2022 except the receipts that were mailed. (Check payment to Non-Stop for their portion and Credit card for the NCL Cruise portion). For the amount of money we spent well over $9000. for the both of us, we expected more transparency as to what the itinerary was. I had to email the agent that booked us just to get any kind of information. She said that more would be shared at a luncheon 2-3 weeks prior to the departure date of 10/10/2022. Luncheon was on Oct 1, 2022, 10 days prior. We were getting more emails and notifications from NCL than Non-Stop Travel regarding this trip. I feel this was more stressful going through Non-Stop Travel. Many things going wrong and disorganized. Our escort tried her best for what she was given with no help but fend on her own. We had about 27 on this tour to East Coast/Canada. Many older travelers almost all retired. I felt for some of them that had to lug their 16 day trip luggage all though the trip. Be prepared to do alot of walking and individual check in at the airport, cruise and hotels. No porters!! You will have to pay for your own bags at the airport. The escort was not given instructions or directions upon arrival at the airports on where to go so some got lost and/or went to the wrong terminal in Las Vegas. Some of our family who were traveling with us and are seasoned travelers, had to help our escort with info and directions. We almost missed our connecting flight from LAX to JFK having to run across the corridor to the next gate. We almost missed our NCL Cruise portion of the trip because we were taken to the wrong cruise terminal, Brooklyn terminal instead of Manhattan terminal (a 10 minute drop off that took 2 hours) NST office gave the bus company the wrong information. So many moving parts, This is just a glimpse of our trip, I don't want to write a book here, so I'll end it here. But you can imagine the rest. We WILL NOT be traveling through Non-Stop Travel again. Shop around before going with Nonstop. I did not want the hassle of travel (airlines, baggage, hotels, etc) - I wanted to enjoy a long-awaited and well-deserved vacation. As I had traveled on an Alaska cruise before with nonstop (wasn't happy with them then), I had concerns about another trip with them. As much as I was unhappy with the first trip, this 2nd one was truly a nightmare (reference Adina C's review). Our group was mostly retired and over 70. This should have been a consideration when assigning Leona, friendly & helpful but inexperienced. This was her 2nd tour and had never been on this one to the East coast so she was unfamiliar with hotels, airports, etc. Leona did a good job - as best as she could - she should have had another tour guide from Nonstop to assist her. So, to Mr. Miyake's response that his tour guides WILL be fully trained - To maximize your customers cruise - they should have been FULLY TRAINED and we should have been able to enjoy their expertise rather than worry about collecting and dragging (literally) our bags all over JFK, LAS and LAX or where the tour buses park at JFK or whether the bus driver knew which port we were embarking from (Manhattan) rather than taking us to the wrong one (we were told the address was given to him Nonstop), etc. Also, at the information luncheon - instead of talking about your PPP funds which allowed you to keep "20" not 10 employees during the pandemic or about the fabulous European FREE river cruise where you got Covid, why not give us info about the weather and what to expect, whether we booked shore excursions thru NCL, what to do in NYC OR that we had a 4-hour layover in LAX after a very long 14 days or that we were seated in the cheapest airline seats that did not allow us to check in online, upgrade our seats and $30 baggage fee - oh, the fee was mentioned in your paperwork (my bad). Needless to say, I would warn anyone thinking of booking a trip with Nonstop to consider an alternative to Nonstop and/or demand for full disclosure of what you are paying for and what to expect. read more

Stay away. Honestly- take your hard-earned money elsewhere. We booked a 16 day Canada/New England cruise (NCL)plus Las Vegas on an escorted tour. We were joining a small group of family members (there were 9 total in our group and 30 total people) on this tour. Here are some take-aways: 1- Non Stop will NOT refund you their portion which needs to be paid in cash to them if you cancel. You can pay for your cruise portion with a cc and will be subject to NCL cancelation policy if you cancel. However, Non Stop will only give you future credit toward another one of their tours. Non Stop WILL try and get you to buy their overpriced travel insurance. If you choose to buy insurance, shop around and save A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS (depending on your age). 2- Be prepared to not receive ANY information on your travel other than what is in your brochures until 2 weeks before you travel from Non Stop. The cruise line was very communicative. From Non Stop? Crickets. And even then- it will probably be wrong. For instance, we gave them Known Traveler IDs and Frequent Flier numbers well in advance of ticketing and it was not given to airline. They had copies of passports and names were still incorrect and airline was unable to change. 3- They will book the CHEAPEST flights and will not ensure you will even sit with your travel partner. For instance, we flew from HNL- LAX- JFK then from JFK- LAS then from LAS-LAX-HNL and I was not seated next to my husband on any flight and we both got middle seats on every flight. The connection in LAX from HNL-JFK was 48 minutes. Remember the cheapest flights? Yeah- seats all the way in the back. We RAN through the terminal at last call and almost did not make it. 4- Cheapest flights- bags had to be paid at the airport when we did group check in. 5- You will handle your bags. Over and over. 6- Your tour escort may not have EVER traveled to your destination and may not know things like- where to find the tour buses, where to meet, WHERE THE CRUISE TERMINAL IS AND WHY THE BUS IS AT THE WRONG ONE. Remember bag handling? Yes- you will schlep your bags in the wrong direction more than once...or twice. It is pretty consistent you will be backtracking, circling and basically moving your bags everywhere but where they need to go. 7- You will not know where you sit in the plane until check in. (Refer back to #3 and 4). 8- We were told we could not book our flights separately and still go on the tour, but there were 2 couples who did just that. We paid in full for the trip in May- 5 months before the trip. When I asked the office multiple times for information or clarity, I was told to wait for the pre-trip luncheon which would be scheduled 2-3 weeks prior to departure. I asked for a detailed invoice. Kept receiving a copy/paste itinerary with inaccurate info. When we finally had the luncheon to get our "papers" and meet our escort, we were subjected to a 30 minute COVID lecture by the CEO whereas he offered medical advice that we should all go to our providers to get COVID medications in case we got it. With multiple assurances that if we did get COVID, Non Stop would assist us. For a huge cost, I am sure. In addition, he lamented about the Small Business Loan he needed to pay back (as opposed to the 2 PPP loans he got which were deferred) and about how his rent was not deferred and he was on a payment plan with his landlord. BUT we should trust in him and his company that the $9000+ we paid would be well spent. A party of 30 with so many moving parts should have had 2 escorts. To top it off, Non Stop does not pay their escorts and suggest we TIP them CASH $5-10/day/person. While we did like our your escort, we worked too hard on our "vacation" helping her organize, coordinate and fix the offices' mistakes. Non Stop can pay their employees. There are other tour companies out there. Please do your research before you book. We travel a lot as retired airline employees and we felt that doing a tour would be a nice relaxing change from booking everything ourselves and it was not. It was expensive, stressful and in my opinion, a huge waste of time and money. Edit- since I can't respond to the comment left- Please stop blaming your company's policies on staffing and training. This is 100% on your choices. The choices you are implementing affects how you are booking your tours. You are making choices which affect your customers experiences. This is why you will lose business- not COVID staffing. You could have spent more of the money WE PAID you to make the experience better- thus making us repeat customers but you chose the short term goal of making more profits on one tour. Your staffing is NOT THE ISSUE. read more

BEWARE! Don't want to even give a 1 star rating. Had booked a tour to Vegas leaving Sept 2020 which was cancelled by Nonstop. I understand the reasoning due to COVID, however, they will drag their feet when a request for a refund is made. On 1/27/21, I mailed a letter requesting a refund. On 2/24/21 I called and was told it takes 90 days for them to REVIEW my refund request. On 3/25/21, I called Christine of Nonstop and told again it takes 90 days. Proceeded to tell Christine I am going through some rough times and asked if the procedure could be escalated. Christine didn't want to hear my pleas and continued to speak saying she would forward my request to a manager and if I don't hear from them by next week...to call back. They set deadline of one week to pay for the tour, but when they cancel and you'd like a refund, wait, wait, and wait. read more

I also booked the 16day Canada/New England cruise tour with Las Vegas at the end. A group of 30 with one tour guide. Many of us are elderly. 1. Travel insurance offered by NST is extremely high.. Shopping for insurance on our own saved about 50%. 2. Flights and fare used: Recommend booking nonstop flights, especially HNL-JFK and LAS-HNL. The fare may have been a little higher but you would not be dealing with unhappy customers now. We barely made our connection in LAX outbound, as we were seated at the rear of a full flight. Deplaning took a while and DL almost turned some of us away because final boarding had been called and the door was closing. My sister and I purchased nonstop tickets on another airline LAS-HNL (at considerable additional expense). Why? We are elderly and the tour plan on day of departure from LAS-HNL: luggage pick up 730am, passenger pickup at 930, leave at 945, DL flight LAS-LAX: 104pm, DL flight LAX-HNL: 5pm and finally arrive HNL at 845pm. Makes for an extremely long and exhausting day! P.S. we were told we could not purchase our own air and just take the tour from NST. And yet, two couples did exactly that!!! Who plans these itineraries w/no consideration for customers, young or old? We were mostly elderly! 4. NEW YORK: why not 2 nights instead of 1 night at the beginning with the city tour on the 2nd day? Many of us would have liked the extra time there, especially since arrival in NYC was at 404pm..hardly time to have dinner. Baggage handling on arrival and AGAIN the next morning for transfer to the ship was a nuisance. After the cruise, recommend transfer directly to JFK airport for an earlier flight to LAS with a decent arrival time instead of 820pm. 5. Baggage handling was a real issue throughout with us having to handle our own heavy bags. Thank God for Pete C and Joe O. who jumped in when bus drivers could not handle the task. 6. Ship terminal fiasco in NYC. Brooklyn instead of Manhattan. 7. Two escorts would have facilitated movement of people/baggage. Linda H. read more

Just got back from the Kyoto, Nara and Osaka Spring Break Tour - one whirlwind week of site-seeing, EATING, shopping and new friendships. Tracy, our Non-stop guide and Yuko our local guide made sure we had a great time, we were safe, and had enough free time to shop. The accommodations at the New Miyako Hotel in Kyoto and the Hotel Granvia in Osaka were top notch AND included yummy all you can eat breakfast buffets every morning; a combination of Japanese and Western fare. Yuko offered additional side tours during our free days, such as a walking tour of the Nishiki Food Market and Gion district in Kyoto, and the Osaka Aquarium in Kaiyukan. She also gave tips as to where to have meals or go shopping during free time. Tracy is down to earth local style and gave us precious craft gifts she made herself. Most importantly, she told us exactly what to expect and how to fill out immigration and customs documents. We were a small group and became very close knit by the end of the tour. We all want to have another tour again! read more

My wife and I just returned from the 2018 Hawaii Tougei (Ceramics) Tour, a new Japan tour put together by Non-Stop Travel emphasizing historical pottery-making areas in western Honshu, including Osaka, Okayama, Yamaguchi, Kyoto and Shiga prefectures. The tour was lead by Jerry Nakasone along with Japanese guide Hiroko. Jerry was very organized and made sure that everyone in our group was well taken care off and knew what to expect at every step of the way. Hiroko obviously put a lot of time researching the history of the off-the-beaten path areas we visited, and went out of her way to make sure we were all enjoying the Japan experience. The accommodations were excellent, as were the provided meals. The itinerary was very well planned and thoughtful. Paid Non-stop Travel in advance in 2019 for a spring tour to Japan in 2020. The tour was cancelled in 2020 and 2021, and almost certainly in 2022 due to Covid pandemic. The company arrogantly refused to refund our money and intends to hold it indefinitely without a guaranteed date of rendering the service. This is an unscrupulous company that doesn't deserve our business. We'll be seeking legal recourse. read more
