The name says it all... Whenever it's time for that escape for a vacation...this is where many of us crave to go, Las Vegas. Maybe it's to gamble...maybe it's for those TJ's snacks...whatever it is Las Vegas is nothing like what we have here at home and Vacations Hawaii is the place that many of us rely on to get it all together in one package deal. You know when it's time you jump on their website to see the dates which clearly lists the prices and availability even to the point of selecting your seats are all conveniently done online...except me...sigh! For some reason I go through the whole process and unable to book it so I must go to the office which is located in the Ala Moana Pacific Center ninth floor (for the ninth island lol!) which used to be home to Shokudo on the ground floor and is right beside Ala Moana Center so parking is super easy as we all know. It's been since probably 2018 since my last trip so already excited and ready the staff there was very friendly and helpful to book my trip and it took just moments which was so much appreciated, this was really for mom but we both are so excited and the whole process couldn't be any more easier. The whole trip was fantastic though getting to the airport is recommended for the whole check in as they do use Hawaiian Airlines but are booked at a separate location so the single line could get long, and our gate was literally to the very back of the airport and the longest walk I've ever done, they do take care of your luggage and all the transportation and one of the reasons mom prefers using them and as long she's happy so am I and the whole package is inclusive so that you can focus on your journey. I've been traveling to Vegas with Vacations Hawaii since their DC-10 days. Vacations Hawaii (VH) provides an incredible value for us Hawaii residents visiting Vegas. Though now limited to the three Boyds downtown properties, you cannot beat their prices. As a single person, my last trip cost was under $900 for five nights at the California Hotel, "The Cal". Let me start from the start. As far as travel planning, all you have to think about is getting to and from HNL. Being dropped off at HNL departures; curbside in front of the Hawaiian Air terminal you will see a greeter with a flashing red light and in a purple shirt who will direct you to the dedicated VH check-in counter. If you have checked luggage, the next time you will see it will be in your hotel room. Sadly, standard luggage fees are charged but you don't have to worry about collecting your luggage at a carousel as it will be delivered directly to your room. Entering the plane, you will be greeted and flying with the friendly HA flight crew. After arriving at LAS and exiting the plane you will be greeted by a couple of red-lighted and purple shirted friendly folks with clipboards who will check your name off their list to see that you are there. If you have your own transport from the airport, now is the time to let them know, so they won't be searching for you later. As you navigate your way through the terminal, you will see a number of flashing red light staffers placed at turns who will direct you through the terminal to the transport to the hotel. There is a easy Red-line tram connection in there. After another light. You will then meet the second to last flashing light person and expect a somewhat long walk to where the buses are. When you get to the last flashing light you will be asked again to 'check in' and then directed to the buses outside and depending on what hotel you are staying in will then be directed which bus to get onto. When you check-in at the hotel you be given your room 'key', a meal coupon book and some other info. The meal coupon book will cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner for your stay. A couple of years ago there was a minimal surcharge for the food, but now (Dec2025) it's totally free. There are some menu restrictions but minor. The coupons will more than keep you pleasantly satiated. In your "greeting" packet, you would've had been given instruction on what to do when checking out. Very simple. Leave your luggage close to the door in the room and a bellman will deliver it to your bus. As instructed in the greeting packet. We all meet at an assigned area and then await instructions to go to the buses. When approaching the bus, you will need to select your luggage that your bell man collected and placed neatly in rows on the sidewalk by the bus. Grab your bag and give it who is loading the cargo bay, then you are good to go to board the bus and enjoy the ride. Ran out of space to further review. Vacations Hawaii. Fantastic Value!! read more

I know a lot of older travelers use VH, but this was perfect for our family with two children under 4 years old. No need to deal with the hassle of dragging everyone down to baggage claim, the rental car agency, or figure out some other pick up. Just hop on their chartered shuttle and your bags will meet you in your room! The VH agents were so kind and accommodating to everyone allowing us to leave our carry on with them since we had several hours to kill after checkout but before the shuttle left for the airport. VH did everything right on our trip and made it so stress free for us! One thing to know is even if you have a Hawaiian Airlines Mastercard they don't allow you to use it for your free checked bag allotments because you book the tickets through a third party. You'll have to pay for your check-in at the ticket counter or prior. Also, if you do want a rental, Circa has a Hertz counter that might be cheaper than other places. Made it convenient to just walk across the street and pickup/drop off the car! read more

Have not used these guys in like forever. Hubby and I planned a trip with my sister in law and niece to meet our kids and other niece in Vegas. As we are older now, it was suggested we use Vacations Hawaii. I had tried booking online but kept getting shut out. Called Vacations Hawaii and had a "sassy" person tell me I had to book online. Anyway, waited a couple of days and decided to call this other number which I assumed was a long distance or mainland number and reached Kevin. He is the manager there I think and he had explained they were having network issues but he booked us in less than 10 minutes. We came in a couple of days later to pay and again met with Kevin who helped us. The time came for our travel and upon arriving to airport we met with their "escorts" who explained about catching the shuttle as it was quite a distance to the gate. We moved gates also. However, upon looking at our boarding passes, we were all seated separately and not as our itinerary said. Coming home, we had our assigned seats. Which made no sense. Also times of departure were different. The real issue was upon arriving at the California Hotel, our luggage was no where to be seen. No explanation at all. Along with other guests on our plane, we were told it was placed on wrong plane. Hello, it's a direct flight! Vacations Hawaii however did manage to get our luggage to our hotel room the next morning by 10. We had no toiletries or medication as it was packed in our checked luggage. I felt so bad as we had a plane full of senior citizens like ourselves but quite older that were in the same boat as we were. It was a later explained to us that because of the "merger" with Alaskan that they haven't quite "figured it out" yet. As I said before, it's a direct flight to Vegas. Bags are tagged for Vegas. And I'm a little confused as to why a merger is to blame for not putting the luggage on the same plane. We noticed that there was also a high school volleyball team "Moanalua" as well as some Mililani high school parents on our plane that got their luggage later than we did. And the distance we had to walk once we landed at Vegas just to get to the bus and arriving to hotel at almost 1 am. But again, the "escorts" were awesome also as well as Kevin who booked us, but we have decided we will in the future use Expedia or book on our own. Also, it was not explained to us about the meal tickets. Apparently, you have to order the menu items that have the mini palm tree next to it. We ended up paying extra for some meals. And not to mention the host at Main Street ripping out the wrong coupon or the RUDE evening cashier at the California that had to call a manager to staple back the wrong coupon she ripped out. We felt it was not worth the hassle. We truly enjoyed our vacation but felt that Vacations Hawaii fell short or what we were used to. read more

Our trip to Las Vegas couldn't have been any better without Vacations Hawaii. We booked with them on October of 2021 for January 2022. This was the package deal of 5 nights hotel, free transportation to hotel and back to airport after trip, with free meals that we booked on their location at Ala Moana Pacific Center. They are located at the very top parking structure of the Ala Moana mall facing in front of Macy's and Lucky Strike. This was our first time booking with them and we were skeptical within the first month after booking our trip because somehow we got a call basically saying Omni Flight is no longer taking us which means we either have to cancel with refund or get seated with Hawaiian Airlines BUT there's a catch. The gag is, they told us my bf and I they wouldn't know if we would be able to sit with each other and I was like ugh whatever that is totally fine as long as we get to the destination. Also the flight times have changed, instead of a afternoon to night flight, it jumped to a morning to noon flight. I didn't want to make a big deal with our transportation being jumped to another airline but man, communication was not so good in the beginning. It was fine anyway being seated together or not, I didn't care. But besides that, finally it was the day of the flight. Since this was our first time, we didn't know how it'd be like going through airport and out. We got to the airport and there were about 3 employees under the sign "Vacations Hawaii" wearing purple. They helped us go through everything and that went very smoothly, couldn't have made it a much better experience. Same with getting off of Las Vegas, there were already employees ready to get us all in the same bus to our hotel destination which was the California Hotel for us. I ABSOLUTELY love their package deal. I mean you get the help to the airport and back, then the free transportation to hotel, on top of that the FREE meals only if you're 21+. We loved it. Whoop whoop I was finally able to schedule a trip to Vegas that I had won at Christmas time in 2020 . Thank you Tanioka's Seafoods and Catering for such an amazing prize... Unfortunately I won a fabulous trip to Vegas during the COVID pandemic . Vacations Hawaii was great about honoring my prize and working around the pandemic. Recently I decided it's time to re-visit the 9th island. I contacted Vacation's Hawaii to find out exactly what I needed to do to schedule my trip. Unfortunately Vacations Hawaii as a company had to come up with a way to deal with all the vacation prizes people had won during the pandemic and set an end date of September 2022 for redemption. Yikes here I thought I had until Into 2023.... When I contacted Vacations Hawaii twice before the expiration date of my prize I was assured by two different agents that my prize would be honored up to 14 months past the expiration date. Cool.... In the beginning my conversation with the rep was difficult. I do understand their concerns and their all around dilemma. I was quickly contacted by Kevin who had the unfortunate job of telling winners about the new restrictions. I appreciated his eagerness to help me, but was sad about the situation he was in. I'm sure there are many happy winners who have no idea about this revelation. I was eventuality contacted by Ross who from the beginning understood my situation and my concerns about scheduling time off from work. Ross and Kevin went out of their way to help me work around the restrictions and plan my trip around my hectic work schedule. I have never used a travel agent to book vacations in the past and this can be a very stressful task. Vacations Hawaii was fantastic. Their tours are complete and well planned and the staff was Awesome. Everyone is so friendly and their clear goal is that their customers have the greatest experience and enjoy their vacations. It didn't matter that my booking was at no cost. They treated me just like any other customer. This was amazing. You can't beat the price for hotel rooms anywhere for locals. If you are looking for a place to stay, it is exactly that a spot to stay. The rooms carpet had stains all over them and seemed a bit dirty. I'm not sure if the HVAC system at the hotel was working because the smoke smell was everywhere and even made it to the room floors, if you have asthma I would highly advise you to reconsider or make sure you bring your inhaler, I'm a heavy gambler but couldn't stay very long on the floor because of the overwhelming smoke lingering from everyone's cigarettes, the food and local vibes were on point but if you can put the other things aside it may be worth it. read more

NEVER AGAIN! I have been a loyal customer for over 25 years and this was the very last trip I will take utilizing Vacations Hawaii. Departing Honolulu the flight was delayed 3 hours. The boarding process was confusing as they boarded the center of the aircraft before allowing the rear passengers to board. Probably die to the fact that the flight was a combination of Korean Airlines and True Blue passengers too and Vacations Hawaii was the lowest priority. Upon arrival to Las Vegas. at around 2:30 AM, there was a Looooong walk from the gate to the terminal (transportation pick-up). Check-in at the Main Street Station went smoothly, one of the few things that did. The room was well appointed and clean and there were no issues with the hotel and its staff. However, the Triple Seven restaurant has limited hours and the wait service was terrible. The unused meal coupons CANNOT be exchanged for snacks any longer so you better use them up if you can. For an "escorted tour" it was pretty pathetic! There was no one manning the counter and the "escorts" were never available to answer any questions or concerns. Departure was a nightmare! The little flyer that we were given indicated that we should meet in the lobby at 11:15 AM. The representative who met us gave a short spiel and when asked when we should return for the airport shuttle, she stated that we should be back at the lobby area by 2:30 PM. We arrived back to the meeting area at 2:15 and observed only one other couple in the area. We waited, and waited as there were NO VACATIONS HAWAII REPRESENTATIVES ANYWHERE! Finally, at or around 4:00 PM all 5 escorts arrived (finally!). They stated that the transportation to the airport would depart at/around 4:20 PM. We boarded the transportation at around 4:20 and thought we were home free, WRONG. We had to stop at the California Hotel to pick up additional passengers. Which in and of itself did not seem to be a problem. We arrived at the California about ten minutes later and the most of the additional passengers identified their luggage and boarded the bus. There were two pieces of luggage at curbside that belonged to an errant passenger. The escort decided that we should wait an additional five minutes for them to arrive. THIRTY-FIVE MINUTES LATER, the missing man arrived. He stated that "It's not my fault, they (the escort) said I could play some more"? NEVER, EVER AGAIN! read more

First time traveling with Vacations Hawaii! Overall, I thought the Vacations Hawaii package was great. For $699 we got flight, hotel, transportation, and food vouchers. FLIGHT (Omni Air) - The airline was fine. I kind of wish we were able to select our own seats. Since there were only 2 of us traveling together, I would have preferred to sit at a window. But they sat us in the middle. Oh well. HOTEL (California) - The California was a good hotel. They have a connecting bridge that links the California to Main Street. And its super close to the Freemont Street Experience. TRANSPORTATION - After exiting the airplane, it was very easy to find the Shuttles to the hotel. They had Vacations Hawaii staff with signs and red blinking lights directing passengers. Returning to the airport was easy too. One thing I did want to mention, that I thought was very poorly done was when we arrived at the airport. The bus driver had to unload everyone's luggage by himself. I don't understand when you have vacations Hawaii workers standing around just watching him. Why were they not assisting him? It was 108°F outside and your making this poor guy unload everyone's luggage by himself? Why doesn't Vacations Hawaii have staff on hand waiting at the airport to assist the drivers with this? FOOD VOUCHERS - I was impressed with the meals included in our package. I was expecting you know, something small that probably wouldn't fill us up and probably like 2 selections on what we could order. Boy was I wrong! These meals are legit and will fill you up. We usually go book through Vacations Hawaii, for our Vegas traveling needs. My MIL is 85, and like to travel with us, and traveling with a Vacations Hawaii charter, is convenient. When we get the Honolulu Airport, there is a representative that meets us on the side, away from the check-in lines, and this rep checks in all of our bags, we bypass the lines, and they wheel my MIL straight to our gate (always remember to give a good tip!). When we land at McCarran AP, they wheel her straight to the bus. There are Vacations Hawaii reps holding signs to help get you through the AP. As a service for everyone traveling via Vacations Hawaii, your bags are brought up to your room and check-in is fast and convenient, and they have our keys all ready to hand out. When ready to check-out, Vacations Hawaii will pick up your bags from your room and will bring it out to the bus for you. Included with our travel package, and for staying at one of the Boyd's hotels, you receive meal coupons for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For our trip this year flying out in December 2019, pp double occupancy we paid $799, and I noticed today, that the price just went up. Good thing we booked early! read more

I've been flying with Vacations Hawaii every year for the last 15 years. I've never had any issues other than a few flight delays. The last flight delay we had was in 2019, we were delayed over 24 hrs. Our flight should have been scheduled to leave at 9am Sunday morning, which got delayed due to mechanical issues. I greatly appreciate the fact that Omni was concerned for our safety, which they had us come back the next day for our final flight home. VH was able able to comp us an additional hotel night, plus meals till the next morning. The next morning we boarded the plane at 6am. OMNI had us all sit on the plane for 4 hours until take off at 10am! Lots of people were irate and found their own way home. Now our 2020 trip was a disaster. Not VH's fault, but covids!! While we were in the air flying to LV, the LV governor shut down vegas and our trip was cut short. We came home 3 days later. Luckily, VH had offered us another comp! Now we're planning to book our 2022 trip (couldn't use VH for 2021, so we found other means to get there). Here is my 1st complaint! Now VH flight times had changed (back to what it was 15 years ago). Now the flight to LV is at 3pm, for us to arrive around 1030ish (day 1 wasted), but we still leave LV at 9am the day we return home! Another day wasted!!! If VH is changing the flight time to 3pm, leaving Honolulu to LV, shouldn't they make up for the lost day at arrival and allow us to LV at 3pm?? My second complaint: Being a VH customer for 15 years, I would think that they would appreciate my business and would like to cater to me when I call to book our trip (I book group trips every year). I work with the same person every year! Now this time, while booking in advance, I ask them if I can sit in first class this time, and my group will have the same usual seating. SHE had the audacity to tell me, "Oh, only if I can get to the seats first, not guaranteed." What the he**! I give VH my business for 15 YEARS! And she can't even reserve 2 first class seats?! They don't take charge cards over the phone, but the Las Vegas package deals are hard to beat. That's why I have to drive to Ala Moana Pacific Center where they are located on the 9th floor. Parking is free at the Ala Moana Shopping Center - yay! For $700 or so, you get round trip airfare, room for 4 nights, 3 meals a day, transportation to and from the hotel, and baggage service to and from your room. My aunties and mom always select the California Hotel in the Downtown area although the Boyd properties include Main Street Station and the Fremont Hotel. I also have stayed at the Orleans, Gold Coast, and Sam's Town, but not with the package deal. The Vacations Hawaii escorts wear purple uniform tops and do their best to be helpful. Navigation through the Vegas airport terminal can be tricky for customers, especially the Senior Citizens. Yes, most of the clientele are Kupuna. There are many wheelchairs, canes, and walkers being utilized. Some bring their oxygen tanks on wheels, but they're all ready to have a good time! One of the only complaints that I have is the $25 baggage fee. I'm protesting. This extra charge ($50 total for round trip) should be buried in the overall cost. It's not, so I'll just continue to do carryon. ..then I won't have room in my bag for shopping! Prevention is a good thing! Notes: we ask for adjoining rooms, close to the elevator, and on a lower floor in the "new tower" (closer to the restaurant - Market Street Cafe). read more

I don't usually give reviews but I'm so pissed that I'm doing this one for you readers.   I would NOT RECOMMEND going to Vegas through Vacations Hawaii (VH). Here is my sad experience so you will know what you may experience too:  Started 4/11/23 (Tuesday) through 4/16 (Sunday) return. Flight sheduled to leave Hon. @ 7:50. Right off the bat, arrived @ airport 5:48 and got directed to stand in One (1) single line that's dedicated for our Vacations Hawaii (VH) Group. There was about 50 people in front of me. Line DID NOT MOVE fast at all. The word "CREEP" is not significant to describe the pace.   I stood in that line to check-in about 88 Minutes. That's just shy of 1 and 1/2 Hours. Behind me there was about 45 people who also stood in that same line. EvERYONE got to go through this One (1) VH check-in line.  There was only One (1) Hawaiian Airlines (HA) Rep. who was checking-in ALL VH folks. WTH??? WHY? IDK but I know it's not the worker's fault, VH or HA Rep(s).   Needless to say, I had very little time to board plane. No Starbucks coffee. Once landing in Vegas, I was told to look for VH Reps wearing purple shirts who were placed at strategic points throughout Vegas Airport that had blinking lights.  This was very good. "Excellent" is a good descriptive word. But that's about the best VH experience that happened. Now I can only speak about staying at the CAL Hotel.  Again, there's was only One (1) check-in to Hotel line dedicated for the VH group. Yes, you can only go through this One (1) line.  I got my room key and food coupons AND "written directions" for VH departure. Written departure directions said Bag Pull will be 5 a.m. on 4/16/2023. Also said, "Meet in the PIKAKE ROOM 5:00am - 5:30am.  DIRECTIONS: Pikake Room - located on the Mezzanine Level near the escalators." Okay, following directions, I went to the Pikake Room about 5:14 a.m.   It was still closed. I looked across and saw other Hawaii folks around the area. A lot of them was standing by Ethels Candy shop.  I figured they were getting coffee. I did not see any VH Rep down by that Ethels place.     About 5:48, Pikake Room was still closed. NO VH REP present. NO sign.  I thought, WTH??? So I asked one of the Hawaii passenger if she got word that plane delayed or what??  She told me, oh, they checking people by the Ethels place, I better go there.  WTF!!!.   I went there and sure enough VH was checking folks there and giving out the boarding pass.  Well, I VERBALLY blasted that VH Rep. Why are you here? The directions said Pikake Room!!! Why didn't you folks place a sign on the Pikake Room door when you changing locations?!?   Her (VH Rep) response was, sorry. It shouldn't have said Pikake Room, just Mezzanine Area.  I said but it stated Pikake Room and been waiting there!!! NEEDLESS TO SAY, I gave her an ear full.   Above is what I had experienced.  Again, I DON'T RECOMMEND using VH.  I won't any more.  You decide and I hope you "Have a good, lucky, and blessed trip. read more

Went to Vegas over the Christmas holiday using Vacations Hawaii. It's better now because they are back to using Hawaiian Air. Best values with air, hotel, and transfers included. Stayed at Main Street and they were pretty dead but The Cal was very busy. If you haven't tried Vacations Hawaii you owe it to yourself to try, unless you receive comps from the casinos. read more

My parents have been using Vacations Hawaii exclusively when they plan their Las Vegas trips. What can I say about Vacations Hawaii......... Well, for one thing........they are like a well oiled machine! They have the service accommodations down to a science! In recent years, I've been going with my dad to Las Vegas a few times a year, and when I do go with him, I noticed a lot of their clientele is on the elderly side. I must say............ Vacations Hawaii takes very good care of the elderly clientele that need special assistance. If I were elderly, going with the Vacations Hawaii package deal you wouldn't have to worry about handling your bags, or finding a way to get to your hotel, & getting back to the airport when you skip town. I noticed many of the travel packages are quite long...........so if you choose to stay up there for a long period of time, don't get too crazy with the gambling, otherwise you'll end up coming home with a barrel around you! :) It's easy to get carried away with the gambling, especially if you just go there and get lucky, and win right away.........the whole trick after winning is to keep your winnings before you skip town! The Vacations Hawaii package deals include airfare, ground transportation to the hotel, baggage handling, hotels stay, & 3 meals a day (which is more that I can eat!). They have many choices of hotels which you can choose from - California, Main Street, Fremont, & Orleans. The prices on the package deals varies depending on what hotel you choose to stay at, and for how long you want to stay in Las Vegas. Also a friendly tip........if you want to get a rental car, you can get a rental out of the Main Street Hotel. They have an Advantage Rental Car Company inside the hotel right next to the Micro-Brewery Bar area. I also know, just across the street from the Orleans Hotel, there is a Budget rental car too. When I travel with my dad to Las Vegas, I don't like to just stay in downtown all the time, so when I do travel with Vacations Hawaii, after I get to the hotel (depending on when I get into Las Vegas), I usually take a car out during my entire stay so I have the option of visiting other places while I'm there. Advantage rental car has some really good rates for the Vacations Hawaii customer...........I want to say like about $18.95 per day for a small car. Renting the rental car out of a hotel, is a lot cheaper than taking it out at the airport, as you save a lot of money of the airport fees that get tacked onto your bill when you take a rental out at the airport. Booking a vacation package is quite easy with Vacations Hawaii...........you can do it the traditional way by going down to the Vacations Hawaii Office, call, or even book on-line...........either way, they make it easy for the customer. Vacations Hawaii, & Boyd Gaming is also very generous..........as they have a "MAHALO" party that they invite certain guess, or I should say frequent customers. A 1st Class business! On our recent trips to Las Vegas in June and July we loved staying at the Cal as always. The staff is friendly and attentive. The casinos at the Cal and Main Street are also a favorite of ours. We have traveled through Vacations Hawaii for over 15 years but have recently noticed that our meal coupons can only be used at a very limited amount of places. The Garden Court at Main Street is only opened from 8-2 on weekdays. Triple 7 is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, plus only open for dinner on certain days. Now that Paradise Buffet at Fremont Hotel and Sams Town buffet is closed, there are very few restaurants for us to use our meal coupons at. Please help us out by offering more places to use the meal coupons! read more

My friend booked our Vegas trip through them. I enjoyed my trip no thanks to them. In fact, they ruined the tail end of my vacation. They had to turn around their plane leaving Oahu for a medical emergency. We arrived at the meeting room at three. We were told about the situation, and were told to come back at six. We came back at six and we were told that we would have to stay another night, no explanation. I had another flight to catch the next day and asked one of the employees if they will book people on another airlines if they couldn't wait over night. She said, "we don't do that. If you want to leave 'early' then you have to make your own arrangements & pay for it yourself. Then you can request for reimbursement ". I've been delayed before and only by a few hours. Other carriers/travel agencies will accommodate you as a goodwill gesture and to make a bad situation slightly better. Not Vacation Hawaii. They didn't even provide discount vouchers as a compensation. This is my first and last time using VH. I will continue to use Expedia, Travelocity and other means to travel. Flight delay of 2 hrs leaving Honolulu,room at California was sub par, food at the restaurant where we could use our coupons was bad..we ate out most of our stay, the casino was terribly smoky (unlike most other casinos),and to top it off, our return flight is delayed 3+ hours.(planes they use are ancient) You can get better rates and definitely better rooms, if you book a package w/ United .... or ANYBODY else !!! read more

Extremely rude and condescending customer service for the simplest of questions from "Robin" (6/25/21 @~1:20pm). It stems back from 2019 when Vacations Hawaii delayed our flight due Omni's lack of qualified flight attendants. Long story short, we were delayed a day and half, this was after everyone showed up at Honolulu International Airport without a call from Vacations Hawaii about that delay. Vacations Hawaii took note of the loss of time we all had to spend on our paid vacation with them and gave us all a "credit" for later use, that was said to expire on Aug. 2020. Then the Covid-19 pandemic happened, and we could no longer travel. When I called to find out if our "credit" would still expire in Aug. 2020, I was told that they were going to extend it. So here we are on June 25, 2021, and Governor Ige has lifted the traveling restrictions for vaccinated travelers from Hawaii. So I email them my question about the credit amount and usage because I wanted to book my trip. I get an response email saying that I need to call the number and speak to a representative. "Robin" answers my call and after asking her about my "credit", she says "what do you mean by 'credit?'...." (I'm in shock that she doesn't know what "credit" means...) After explaining to her what had happened and how I got the "credit", she said that I would need to use the "voucher" that was mailed to us and they would need to manually punch it in because it "expired". Was it my fault that nobody could travel without serious restrictions for more than a year? And, why do they not have a record of these "credits" on peoples accounts? Do I really have to go looking for a piece of paper that was sent over a year ago? To top it off I get the most condescending "...ok, bye..." Vacations Hawaii, you really need to have your people take a class in customer service if you wish to keep servicing the kama'aina who patronize your business. Question is, would I recommend using them?... Nope. Hotel accommodations can be found for really cheap and flights can be found with better times and service for your hard earned dollar. read more

I made a reservation on May 24th 2018, for week of October 30th through the 5th. they collected payment via internet on that same day the reservation was made, and received a confirmation email to prove it. I checked in at the front desk, later finding out their was no reservation and vacations Hawaii canceled my reservation on May 30th stating for non payment. I called them, and asked why they canceled it, and if it was canceled no email stating of cancellation. I was furious with them, and also embarrassed at the same time for this whole situation they put me into. The hotel was gracious enough to call them, and assort this through, and finally settle this bad predicament I was under. The hotel front desk person confirmed that this happened to another guest the other day... Vacations Hawaii, get your act together! Especially with your poor website that was cause of this whole ordeal! Not user friendly at all I hope the next person that reads my post follows up with their confirmed reservation by calling the hotel in advance to check if it really is in the system. BUT I'll always be booking with them bc they got good deals and flying with Omni air was no trouble. My first booking... My one year old son soon to be two years old was charged full price because he would be two on our flight back to Honolulu. CRAZY! But a policy is a policy I guess... one that should change! We had a big family reservation. We noticed we had a couple names misspelled so we went in to change it and pay our dues. (I wish I remembered names, but sadly I don't) Lady said names were changed and we were good just sign the paper. When we got home we noticed it wasn't changed!!! So of course we called. AND BOYYY this phone call made me and my dad's BLOOD BOIL!!! We had major attitude from another lady saying "WELL YOU SHOULD'VE LOOKED AT THE PAPER BEFORE SIGNING." OKAYYYY SHE HAS A POINT but WHEN YOU'RE TOLD SOMETHING IS DONE, especially face to face, you BELIEVE ITS DONE. Just got back from another trip via Vacations Hawaii. Again, the charter is setup and caters to locals that want an inexpensive trip to Vegas. They have apparently studied the travel habits of locals and setup their charters to facilitate that schedule. I have noticed certain trends as well... as well as my friends, and others whom I have spoken with. Some days are more popular than others. Where do I start?! Let's begin with the website. A bit confusing. If you want a 7 night package, click on GROUP TOURS and click on ALL INCLUSIVE GROUP TRAVEL. Make sure you have your login information, or creat an account to book online. I didn't have mine handy, so I called in. The customer service on the phone when booking was very good, once I got to the right department. They answered questions I had from upgrading our seats to insurance. As for payment, they emailed me my confirmation reservation and a credit card authorization form and was told to either email or fax it back to them. I don't feel comfy about either, so I opted to pay in office. This was a challenge. I knew they are located in the same building as Shokudo, but didn't know where. I looked at the directory and got into an open elevator. Wait, this one only goes to 7. I need 9th floor. Got back out of the elevator to look at the directory as a guy walked in. Next thing I know, the guy is standing next to me strangely puzzled. He had to go to 15. I figured it out. Go to 7, get off. Walk down the hall to another set of elevators. Press your #on the keypad, enter open elevator. Get out when doors open. Finally made it! I was beat by the time I got to the office. Took care of business and that was that. Oh yeah, the parking exit.... It's quite a tight turn to get to the attendant's booth, so be careful, but hurry up or you'll be charged for an extra 1/2 hour! I was one effing minute over because I was taking my time making the turn, and got charged. So BS!! read more

I normally use vacations Hawaii for my Vegas spring break trips. I try and fly first class. However this year for spring break won't be going cause now my ticket is 1500. Last year I paid 1200 for airfare and hotel 5 nights and meals. That is a great deal if you want to party in Vegas in for 5 nights during spring break. The bad for using vacations other than spring break is terrible. Cause your stay in Vegas is long. If you do make money gambling early in your trip your more likely to put back your winnings towards the 3rd,4th,5th day. Now most of Hawaii residents who go Vegas with vacations Hawaii have this story to tell other when they come back won money early in my trip but I gave it back towards the end. Or the story is I won the money I lost at the towards the end of my stay. Other airlines can't beat the Vacations Hawaii's deal. The other airlines charge 900 round trip, hotel and meals comes out of your own pocket. The better part is if your stay is short and you win your more likely to come back with your winnings. My observations for the pros and cons of using Vactions Hawaii may be anecdotal at best. read more

Can't complain when it's free. My first time to Vegas and from what I've heard Vacations Hawaii is more organized. My flight and room was booked with a group I was going up with. I didn't have a check-in bag. But that took looked easy as everyone else checked in a bag. Coming home I had to check in a bag, and it didn't get lost. Also, before I even got to the terminal back home the bags were already going around, note my bag was with first class. Vacations Hawaii also has the nicest workers. Always coming around to talk and answer any questions anyone had. When I plan on going to Vegas again, I definitely want to with them. read more

Update! As of 9:40 AM, our flight is delayed again due to plane engine testing. Don't get me wrong, I prefer to fly on a safe plane. However, they had all this time to test the engine or get another plane to fly us out. For the inconvenience, Vacation Hawaii should now give a full refund for this trip plus give a free trip to be used within a year. I'm upset for the people who are traveling with elders and kids and speaking to a couple next to me, they rarely travel because it takes careful planning and saving up for a trip like this. Absolutely disappointing. Fair warning, book your vacation elsewhere. Sitting at the airport after not one, but two delays thus far. We were scheduled to depart from Honolulu to Las Vegas on December 27 at 3:05 PM. As a result of airplane mechanical issues, our new departure time was scheduled for the following morning at 5 AM. Having to scramble to get us a ride from the airport back home, we made it home around 5PM, had a quick bite and rested for a few hours. We returned to the airport to make it for the 5 AM flight only to find out, another delay - new departure time 11:00 AM. Up to this point, there had been no communication from Vacations Hawaii regarding this matter, no notice of another delay via phone or email. Many people here saved up for this trip, put in vacation time at work, even made arrangements and reservations on the other end, only to amount to time and money lost. At this rate, who knows if we'll even fly out to Vegas and the least the company could do now is issue out a full refund for the 5 days, 4 nights package that we didn't get to enjoy because of the inconvenience they put us through.
