We have used Pump it Up for many of our kids birthday. We booked a party on a Friday this time. Come to find out there was no hide and seek of a stuffed animal which apparently is only done on weekend parties. I also am bothered they charge a 15% auto gratuity for the party and then ask you at checkout if you want to add more. This should be optional as to pay $650 for a party and then an additional auto gratuity fee is ridiculous when the host doesn't even do anything besides supervise the play rooms by standing at the door and set up the pizza plates. Pizza is just dominoes pizza being delivered. They charge $14 to add on 10 8 ounce water bottles. read more

We've been to two birthday parties at Pump It Up, and the staff runs the place like a well-tuned process. Check-in is quick, transitions between rooms are efficient, and the team keeps things moving without feeling rushed. From an operational standpoint, they're dialed in. The only recurring drawback is the temperature in the second room. Once you get a large group of kids running at full throttle, the space gets noticeably warm and stuffy. Went here for a 9 year old's birthday party. This place is a well oiled machine. They make everything so easy. The kids had a blast. We started off in one room full of blowups and then after a while we switched to the next room full of all different ones. The kids played the entire time and the staff were excellent. We attended a birthday party at Pump It Up and had the best time! Upon arriving, you must sign a waiver for each child... and then the fun begins! We were able to go into 2 different play rooms and each offered different types of inflatable play areas. My daughter loved the bounce house with the basketball hoops and the big slide. The second room had the Vortex and she really liked that too. After playing in the two rooms, we were escorted to the party room where the kids had pizza, cupcakes, and other goodies! Excellent kids party venue! I just had my son's 4th birthday party here. Tons of fun, easy party planning, and the staff are SO helpful. Best of all, I love how well-planned it is; parents know exactly when the party starts and when it ends - like clockwork. We were in at 10:45 starting with room one. We had tons of fun on the bouncy slides, obstacle course, and bouncy basketball, plus air hockey, etc. for about 45 min. Then room two with all new fun bouncy stuff for the kids for another 45 min of play. Then a pizza party (that staff helped set up for us) and cake to finish up at 12:45. Staff helped us clean up and take leftovers to the car. 20 kids were played out, full of food, and happily on their way home by 12:55. It was great and so easy! read more

Came here for a birthday party and had a pretty good time! Everyone working here had great attitudes. It was interesting being shuttled from room to room, but the kids liked it. Lots of things to do in the rooms like slides, obstacles, some vortex area, Wipeout-style balls, a climbing wall...it was pretty nice. I thought it was a nice touch that they walked around taking photos and videos and played them in the party room where the food was. I showed up for the first time ever to this location to celebrate my kids 10th birthday I took 3 kids and when I arrived at 1:30 the receptionist was on the phone. You girl who lacked customer service, kept talking to someone about a birthday set up. Took like 5-8 minutes on the phone, once done said your waivers are done go ahead I'll charge you at the end, blue door on the end. My kids jumped 10-15 minutes and was charged $66 and got kicked out at 2. Not once did she think of saying "hey are you guys aware that free jump is 12-2 ? Visited on 4/8/2023 - We went for our friend's son's birthday party. We were excited to go since it was our first time here. Our son had fun. Couple of things we were kinda iffy about was how small the spaces were for these gigantic bounce house. It was a bit claustrophobic for me and it got stuffy with all the people in there. Also the staff member looked like she was getting annoyed with the kids taking balls out of the bounce house. She approached my son who was at that time was about 3 y/o and told him not to take the balls out. He did not understand, he felt the balls didn't belong in there. I felt so bad because he was having so much fun. He was not causing harm to anyone, just making sure the kiddos in the bounce house were safe from tripping on the balls. We had to step in and guide our son to not take the balls out as it belongs in there. **I just think the staff needs to understand that they're working with kids. Prices have gone up and the limitation on food that can be brought in is not great. Also they kept calling my son Carmen (a girls name) instead of his name Kamrenn (Cameron) even after they were corrected. One of the selling points on the website is " Special Birthday Sticker" instead my son was given a pink crown. Instead of fixing it and getting him a different color crown when I told them my son is a boy the host just shrugged her shoulders and said I thought he was a girl. Obviously he's not a girl. They didn't even offer to fix it. In the first room one of the jumpers had band aids stuck right where people slide down. Definitely will not have another party here again it's gone down hill. We did the 2 hour slot and it was the perfect amount of play time. 20 kids and 20 adults. 2 play rooms (1st was larger in size but 2nd room still had a good amount of equipment). We were in Room B for the party room. I saw Room A while going to the restroom and I think B definitely looked more spacious. It didn't feel cramped at all for our party size. All the kids were able to sit at one long table. We opted to get 5 pizzas and we brought our own veggie/fruit tray and chips. I think that was just the amount of food for our group so if you have older kids or more adults, def get another pizza or two. We upgraded for the photo package but we only had 20 or so photos. We took our own photos and wanted to supplement what we had. There were a few good moments we didn't catch but wish they had taken a bit more at this price. The video/slideshow didn't work on the tv while we were in the party room. Also our supervisor(?) didn't explain to us that if you "find the monsters" while in the play room you get tickets to spin at the end. Luckily the person who checked us in up front offered to allow all the kids a chance to spin the wheel which was nice. Overall felt like a cleaner facility. Accommodated us when we had to postpone due to Covid and reschedule. read more

This review is from the perspective as a host. First, The staff in the dinning room pulled me away from my guests and kept telling me to decorate while she was taking picture of my decoration and bossing me around DURING the jumping time. This is something they advertised and told me that it was supposed to be their job when I booked the party! Second, they kept pulling me away from the guests to settle the bills, clean up DURING the party time why can't you do this AFTER the party time? Not to mention the party time was valuable and special to my family and friends. I didn't have much time with the guests. Isn't this the point of having pump it up hosting the party? I spoke with someone to make sure this doesn't happen when I booked it but they did it anyways. The staff asked me if I'd like to get my decoration and food back then told me about giving her a tip, I gave her $100 tip, I figured after she said she was gonna pack up all the decorate and food. Then she turned around and non-stop telling me and my husband, "YOU need to clean up, there is another party!" What the heck?! I got pissed off and left the party unhappy. I should have gotten her tip and just give it to whoever else I think deserved it more than her. There is another Asian guy staff there (I don't know his name) who stepped up and helped us which we really appreciated. Also, I had to fight for the actual amount of kids attended for jumping because when I booked it in was told that they will count on the day of but that policy got switched after I booked the party. They confirmed the kids number the day before the party now. On the other hand, kids had loads of fun. The arenas was fun and clean. Staff in the arena was great. Glow in dark light was cool. I had my sons 4th birthday party here. They are well organized and have the party planning aspect down to a tee. However, they are lacking in being personable and friendly. The staff just seemed bored and go about their job without making us or the birthday boy feel special. Forget about wishing him, the lady at reception didn't even acknowledge my son. She hesitantly brought a trolley to the car but just stood there while we loaded it! She then took the stuff inside and sat back at reception and didn't come back out! I had to go back in to tell her there was more stuff. We came in early to setup but she wouldn't take note of my instructions. This was apparently meant for the party planner who showed up to speak to me half way through the party. I had to leave my guests and go speak to her. We were interrupted a second time during the party to go to the car to put the gifts away. Not sure why this couldn't be done after the party when we put the rest of the stuff away. Finally, once the bill was settled (again during the party) we just walked out the door after the party without having anyone say bye to us or to my son. Additionally, we were not invited for a free open play for my son as a thank you /parting gift which MyGym offers. All in all, I loved that they handle everything for you. I didn't like that the staff were not friendly (1 out of 4 of the staff actually smiled at us and was pleasant). If they can look and act happy, then this place would be awesome! read more

Great service by EVERYONE! We just had a birthday party here for our daughter. From start to finish, everything was great. Staff were super attentive, making jokes with the kids and really went beyond anything I was expecting. Brandon was our team member for the day, I can't thank him enough for dealing with all the wild kids. He was amazing and patient with the kids. Pizza was okay, not the best, but it was convenient. We had my sons bday here. Initially everyone was nice checking us in. The two play rooms were fine kids had fun. I wouldn't do the bubble add on they just blew in our face. The party room was where we experienced a very rushed time. I felt anxious the entire time. Felt like we were being rushed to eat, clean up and get out. I understand they have other parties but the staff was very uncompassionate and almost rude. The girl who cut the cake was doing it so fast a slice fell on the ground. Would I have another bday here? No. The pizza was good credit to them on that. I would advice a 2.5 hour time frame for these events we had guests from far who got stick in traffic etc. we were willing to pay for a longer window. read more

I'm not sorry to be writing this review. I can't believe a company like this is in business. We had to postpone our party because our son got admitted to the hospital. There's nothing we could've done to go on with the party. It's not like we did it on purpose. We asked if we could choose a future date, and after talking with three different people, including a supervisor, the end result was us having to pay an ADDITIONAL $100 to reschedule on top of the $200 deposit we had already put down. Really? Wow. Talk about having zero empathy and zero customer service. Their food is also terrible. We had gone to a party a few weeks ago and it was Subway sandwiches and Papa John's pizza. When we had originally booked, they said it was Mountain Mike's pizza, which is better than Papa John's in my opinion. We were deceived because they had changed it a month ago and we had no idea. They also upcharge up the butt for the food. $400 for Subway sandwiches and Papa John's pizza? Seriously? They should get better food options. They also charge you for bringing kids juices. They also charge you $75 per tray if you bring your own food. We ended up booking a place a minute away to have our dinner instead, and they were super nice and accommodating. They also didn't charge us a dime for canceling on them a few days prior because our son got admitted to the hospital. If you haven't caught the drift yet, these people nickel and dime for everything. We plan on never coming back here again, and we plan on forfeiting our $200. We regret booking this place. If you are planning on booking your party here, please reconsider and book elsewhere. This place is not worth it. read more

Not only is this a fun location to attend open play but we had the best experience having my daughter's birthday party here! This location is actually the farthest from my house of the 3 locations in the OC but I chose to have my party here instead of the other Pump it Up locations because 1) they have the best staff - everyone is very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and great with kids!, 2) the equipment seems in the best condition and cleanest, 3) parking is easy and plentiful, 4) they have a relationship with Baskin Robbins where they'll deliver ice-cream cakes to your party (and store them in their freezer until the party is ready), 5) the staff are very good at helping you customize your party and are helpful with special requests, 6) they have the best prices and specials. Everyone had a wonderful time and we would recommend this location to everyone! Special shout out of thanks to Donya who was PHENOMENAL as my personal party assistant! We had a wonderful party experience here. We had to postpone our party due to Covid and they were extremely accommodating and understanding. The party went off without a hitch. They are very organized and do everything for you. They have a menu you can order pizza and drinks, and clearly outline which items are okay to bring in. You have designated party attendants in the play rooms and eating area. The person in the play area took great pictures. In the eating room the girl organized and set everything up. It was so simple! They also were super helpful with cleaning and loading everything in my car. We did a 3 hour party, 2 hours of play and 1 hour to eat. The kids all had a blast. We've been invited to parties here in the past. And our experience wasn't as expected. They usually take pictures of everyone during the party and have it and at some point play it as a slideshow on a big screen. Which is cool and fun for the kids to see there pictures on display. We didn't get that. Apparently the TV was broken. But that's fine things happen. The next disappointment was the food. They don't allow you to bring your own food without paying an irrational extra amount of money. So they kinda pressure you to choose there "pizza and juice " option. Well the pizza was almost 40 minutes late, embarrassing and hard for the kids to be patient and wait. And they didn't serve any juice!! Frustrating that you don't get what you pay for. The staff, the young gentleman in particular, who supervised the play area was so so friendly! He was playful with the kids, in good uplifting spirits the whole time. The girl who helped inside the party room was okay. Few of my guests have called her blunt. Over all the kids had the best time they've had in a long time. Fun for kids. Very Boring for adults. Went for kids birthdays a few times... not even enough chairs for parents to sit on! It was so awkward...maybe managers know parents don't like the place, assume parents will not go, and so put very little seating? Not sure. The adult seats they had were like a bench, a handful of chairs, all pretty cramped together, and that's it. nothing to do other than stare at kids jumping around. the rooms are relatively small and compact, you feel trapped. I liked trampoline park in lake forest better as the space is much more open, they have a cafe parents could wait at (albeit of very unhealthy food), massage chairs, places to work. So as a parent you don't feel like you're just sitting counting down seconds till the kid finishes jumping (and move to the next room). The food at the end is also supremely unhealthy. Also horrible for adults (and kids). Not a fan. Kids had a lot of healthy fun though (jumping around is always healthy), so the place gets stars for that. read more

Writing this review the same day of our celebration because I am absolutely blown away by the customer service and experience we received. From the moment we booked our party, the pump it up team was incredibly helpful and gave a detailed explanation on my options. Fast forward to a week out from the party and they called to go over logistics and offered tips to make my son's birthday the best time possible. Our party today was so smooth, eagerly and attentively supported, and they got amazing pictures of our entire group. Planning and hosting a party is stressful, but I can truly say we had the best time thanks to the support of Amber and her team. We came into the party room with everything set up, kids taken care of, with pizza and cake promptly handed out to each attendee. Truly top tier service. All the staff there has been super helpful and making the party fun for the kiddos and painless for the parents. This was a great venue for our friends to have their daughter's four-year-old birthday party! We've been to Pump it up parties in the past at different locations and this party was by far the most organized one yet. We had a smaller group with approximately eight or nine little girls total all around the same age, so it was nice to not have older kids getting too physical and wild around my daughter like at past parties. I could tell that all of the kids had a great time and the hosts that were assigned to our group did a great job at keeping the flow of the party moving along well as well as keeping all of the kids involved and entertained.
