Took my 9 year old nephew to this park. We were wasting time before our big Disneyland trip the next day. I actually found it on Yelp. It was a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. We easily found street parking. Could be a problem I guess on busy times. I love the soft foam cushion surface. Very colorful and had some "nice modern twist " of old fashioned regular play ground activities. I love that most if not all the children were being watched by parents, grandparents etc. my nephew loved the big slides and rock climbing mountain. I got so much joy from watching all the kids play. Nice seeing them be kids instead of playing video games. read more

Hands down our favorite playground! Has something for all ages! Mom and baby swings, reg baby swings, and larger swings! Brought my baby here every day to learn how to walk since it has such a huge padded area. It's handicap accessible. There's a decent amount of shade. Plenty of parking. A water refill. A restroom. The only thing it's missing are sprinklers lol. Love all the different slides, the tree you can climb into, the rock tunnel, everything! read more

If you are looking for a park where majority do not wear masks and social distancing is not enforced by the parents, then this is the park for you! I went on a Friday at 11.30am and it was busy with parents not asking their kids to keep their distance. Apart from that, this park is a goldmine. It is colorful, the flooring is soft foam and there is Unique equipment including a mommy & me swings, a zip line swing, seesaw and treehouse. Parking on the street was tricky with the busy traffic zooming by. There might be a lot further up which I missed. read more

The photos looked good. I took my kids here on a warm spring day and everything about the playground was too hot for my kids to enjoy. We ended up sitting on some shaded grass area for a bit. I know California has perfect weather, and it was in the low 80s. I wish the park planners would consider building or using natural shade for the little ones to play under. I did appreciate there being bathrooms to use that were nice and clean enough for a public park. read more

This was my 3rd time here, can't believe I didn't write a review before now. There is a small carpark that only has 4 disabled spaces, everybody else needs to park on the road - luckily there seems to be ample space, but I bet on super busy days you have to walk a small distance. I loved that this park had lots of different areas. It has a cool 'noise' thing that kids can press and it makes noise. There are supposed to be games, but whenever I've tried to get them working they don't seem to do it just right. Could be user error, I suppose. In any case, my kids don't care. They just like to run around hitting the buttons and making noise. There's a sandpit area, various swings (a cool swing for mum/dad/sibling/whoever to sit opposite baby and swing). We like it here, but there is no shade in the play area. A few shady spots if you want to hang out on the grassy area. read more

Awesome spot to enjoy some spring weather and get a hit of fresh air. There's a lot of open grassy space for running around and a solid playground for the little kids. A few of the playground items were broken, but most of it was in good shape and clean. Speaking of clean, this public playground might have the cleanest restroom I've ever seen! There's only street parking here and it can get full pretty quick, especially if there's a soccer game. Pack the snacks, load up the drinks, and let's kick it at the park! read more

This is probably one of the nicest parks I've been to. They have plenty of stuff to do for the kids and I like that there's seating all around. It's different than most playgrounds. They don't have the usual stuff you would see. Everything is colorful and super fun for the kids. There are picnic tables scattered throughout the park. Not too many, but just a right amount I think. The only thing I didn't get to check out was the restrooms. Not sure how clean they are, but everything else was great! read more

Huge park with lots to do! There's a restroom near Oso Creek trail. There is street parking only. The rubber surface is very colorful. There is a lot of flat grass. I saw people pitch a tent cover for birthday parties. There are some uncovered tables, too. There was a soccer game going on. There is one big play structure that's fun for all ages. So many spinning toy, swings, rock wall, maze, and interactive elements. read more

This is such a wonderful park! Really one of the most modern I have been to, so many interactive games for kids, plenty of unique swings and slides, fun for all ages! Very clean and well maintained, they also have bathrooms and water fountains as well as plenty of benches and chairs. I do wish there was a bit of shade, it is all very open, be sure to bring sunscreen. Highly recommended for a nice day with your kids that won't cost you a penny. read more

Really good spot to take kids for an interactive experience. There are the typical things you would find in a playground (swings, slides, etc.), but there are also interactive games, dual swings (where one person can swing and a kid can swing in sync, facing that person), and a small rock climbing wall. When I went (Monday morning), there was plenty of street parking. Also, if you walk down the path, it intersects with Oso Creek Trail. Park is clean and well-maintained. read more

This is an outstanding parking with a large field adjacent to the elementary school our kids are zoned in and we couldn't be happier.a lot of very unique features including climbing structures and tandem swings and sand pits and extensive jungle gyms that work out all kinds of muscles. I am also impressed with how well maintained the equipment is and am convinced the city puts a lot of work into keeping up the appearance which is something I can appreciate. It is a great alternative to our neighborhood park (Pacific Hills) because it has exponentially more features. Would definitely suggest a visit for parents with kids 10 and below read more

This park is great because the playground floor is a soft flooring and not sand, so easy for my toddler to walk around without constant falling like in sand. Haha. This is sensory overload for anyone who has never been to this kiddies park. I could not believe such a community park exists. Pavion Park is a great place to visit during this lockdown. It is quiet, not too many people around. Try to come here in the morning, or between 3-5pm for the least crowd possible. Make sure to bring sunscreen , not too much shades around the park. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this park. I was researching parks in Orange County fit for the little little ones, and this park definitely did not disappoint. This park is up in the middle of big hill (with nearby trails!) and parking was soo convenient. I went on a busy Sunday with lots of families at the park already, and there were still plenty of parking. This park has the most colorful playground I have seen. Once the kiddos arrive, it is like an immediate visual stimulation. They have some unique swings, interactive animal sounds, wide range of slides, light game, maze, rocking boat, etc... Plenty of fun for babies, toddlers, and even parents! They also have some picnic chairs/tables right on the playground itself, or plenty of large trees with grassy areas right next to the playground for picnicing on the ground. read more

This park has amazing, interactive playground equipment that is unique and highly entertaining for children of all ages. Everything is very clean and new-looking. It is worth a visit if you are in the area, as it is yet another example of the awesome parks in Mission Viejo. The entire surface of the playground is a soft, spongy material of different bright colors. There are many little "spinner" poles for kids to spin around on, as well as several different swing sets. One set of swings has a "chair" style which gives a little different feel, and can accommodate very small children as well. There is also a "tire swing," which is a two-seat ring suspended between four poles that slides back and forth between them when pushed. The ride can accommodate several kids at once and was in constant use when I was there. Another unique feature is an electronic game where kids have to push buttons on various poles for the red team or green team. WIth a large group, the game can be very fun and is almost an "arcade" like feature but costs nothing to use. Finally, the play "jungle gym" areas with traditional slides and climbing rocks are available as well. There is a unique six-seat bench on the side of one of them which rocks back and forth, reminiscent of a carnival ride. Unlike most, these climbing and jungle gym areas are wide and large enough to accommodate helicopter parents that want follow their kids and never be more than one foot away from them, as seems common practice these days. The only drawback as others have noted, is the lack of shade from canopies or large trees around the playground area. There are some trees which are getting bigger and offer some shade, but only a few seats at a time. I imagine in a few years when the trees are bigger, it will be outstanding. read more

Such a fun creative park! We were willing to go out of our way from Laguna Niguel because we were needing something new for our kids. They didn't have restrooms at first, but now it's under construction. Avoid coming here mid day. It gets hot. No shade. Early morning and afternoon play is nice!!! ;) It's my boys favorite park. One of many reasons to love living in South Orange County is the variety of Parks and Recreation Centers that the Community has to offer. Pavion Park is one of them! Beautiful,Vibrant in Colors, Joyful playground that attracts the adults as well to release there inner kid self. Pavion Park is located on Olyimpiad/Jeronimo across from a neighborhood and The Oso Creek Trail. Within the past year, they added some new swings, restrooms and picnic tables in which I am extremely happy about! My kids used to call this park..."The park with no bathroom". So hilarious! They knew that if they had to use the restroom,they were out of luck. So we are very happy public restrooms are now available. This park has alot of entertaining and unique features as well.. such as a swing glider, colorful padded floors, animated buttons, and animal trail finders... just to name a few. Parking can get tricky as its mainly street parking but we have never had problems finding a parking spot. People come and go often. The only downfall is during the summer months,when the sun peaks aggressively, the park has no roof or shade so it can get really hot. Other than that, we are so glad this park is local and has become our family favorite! read more

Clean, modern park with everything kids (and parents) would like - clean bathroom, drinking fountain, trash cans, plentiful seating areas for parents, and, most importantly, fun activities from infants on up. Our 2 daughters, 7 and 5, spent almost 2 hours here (and could've spent longer) enjoying the interactive activities (lighted tag), novel see-saws, spinners, and the jungle gym is wheel-chair accessible too. Families seem pretty friendly and there's a large grassy area (looks perfect for soccer), sand (with 2 cool diggers, bring your own sand toys), and trees for kiddos to pick branches and leaves and things. A little far from the freeway so mainly appears to be local folks, got pretty busy even during a weekday. read more

What a great park. We drove about 30 minutes to get here, but it was well worth it. A clean park with cool features. Both my kids (1 and 3 1/2) LOVE this park. There's also a field to play or workout while you're kids play. Of course, you'll want to keep an eye on them. I wish there were more parks like this around Irvine, maybe I just haven't found them yet. Great park. Not going to lie, the music thing gets annoying after about the 100th time, but its all about the kids. My kids love following the animal tracks to find the animals. LOVE LOVE LOVE. read more

I would pay to take my son to Pavion Park. It's quite peaceful and the features for a park are extraordinary. There is a focus here for children of all abilities. It has similarities to the Imagination Playground (in NYC and all over the world) but it is more guided and some play areas require more parental involvement than others. It's a perfect mix of traditional, modern, and futuristic and we love it. We are looking forward to spending another early evening of fun here. read more

A really nice park for the little man to play at. The playground flooring is the soft, slightly bouncy rubber, not the god-awful woodchips I have seen a lot of over the last few years. They updated the swing sets so you can tandem swing with small children now. My son and I LOVE this. They finally built some bathrooms here, which is a godsend because my son would love to stay here and play but our trips in the past were cut short for potty emergencies. read more
