I absolutely love barre3! I got hooked after taking one of their free Sunset Sweat classes and…read morehaven't stopped going since. The studio is so beautiful and bright, each staff member is incredibly friendly, and the place has such a great energy overall. I have tried other studios, but nothing even comes close to this. I drive an hour and a half round trip just to take classes here. The intensity of classes and supportive community is worth it. I have suffered from intense chronic pain for the past 13 years and going to class here on a regular basis has given me more relief than anything else I've tried. You have to give barre3 a try!!

I really liked this class. She also had a really fun playlist - better than other barre3 classes I've done before for sure. The studio itself is really pretty and bright with a good amount of merchandise for sale. It's a nice open room with lots of mirror real estate. The class itself was more crowded than what I'm accustomed to in New York and I found myself bumping into my neighbor a couple times which was uncomfortable. Imo they would really benefit from reducing the class sizes by 5-10%. I was also a little frustrated by the conflicting info on their website which said in two different places that all equipment was provided, and then separately that you were responsible for bringing your own mats and props. As it turns out, equipment IS provided, but that should really be updated for clarity's sake. All in all, a good and fun workout and I'll be back, but some frustrations with the studio as a whole.

Ashley & Maura are also two of our other faves but the entire staff is great! I was really nervous to get back into working out & have been to some gyms where I have felt very uncomfortable. Not tribe though! They are super welcoming, and really good with modifications and understanding past injury limitations which I really appreciate (especially Janelle). I cannot rave about this place enough!!! There is something really special about tribe! I noticed in some other posts that there was confusion about wiping bikes after class..the staff cleans the bikes and the mats/weights after every class which is why we don't do it ourselves. This isn't the YMCA...they told us the staff does this on our first day when we arrived...plus with the prices we pay I would hope we would not have to clean our own equipment..so thank you tribe staff!! I am super appreciative that I can get ready for work here too.. it is a game changer for me since I work two minutes from the gym but live about 20 mins away. There is plenty of space to change and lay out makeup & clothing plus they have hairdryers in the changing rooms. If you are looking for a positive community, fantastic work-outs, and to be supportive of small businesses this is the place to be. No question!

She is a positive, motivational leader who pushes you to give your best each and every class. She is knowledgeable about technique and form, and cares deeply about your progression. The studio offers a great balance of cardio and strength training with both spin and TRX classes offered. Each and every session leaves me feeling exhausted and sweaty, yet stronger and motivated to come back-- and push myself further the next time. There is a great group of folks that make up the Tribe family. It's a group that welcomes and encourages no matter what level you are. Do yourself a favor and try Tribe. Along with a sweaty shirt, you'll leave the studio with a smile and a feeling of accomplishment.

The barre classes can be intense, but the instructors always make a point to say listen to your body. If you need to stop, just take a break and go back into it when you can. The yoga classes have been great. I love Alyson's classes, especially the energy medicine class. Very restorative. I have my own mat, but tend to come straight after work and just use their mats. There is a changing room that can be used to change into workout clothes. The staff is engaging, the location is nice with lots of parking (same parking lot as Ken's, but in the back of the building to the right), the pricing for the class cards is reasonable, and the studio is clean and inviting. This cozy studio off Farmington Ave. has everything you need for a great workout. This class was my first time doing pilates with the reformer machine, and Mary was sure to explain everything and help us perfect our form. She was so calming and knowledgeable; you can tell she is passionate about her job and her clients. The workout was much more difficult than I thought it would be-in a good way! Of course Mary makes all the moves look so easy, but I could definitely feel it in my legs and thighs the next morning. Even through a short, introductory session, I could see how regularly attending classes like this would help get that toned look. Drop-ins are $35, but there is a 3 for $20 deal going on now. Mary is also Barre certified, so I am looking forward to trying one of those classes, too!

She had a sunny disposition and clearly loves teaching and is invested in the health of her clients. We started with learning all the basics of the reformer and perfecting our form. It was such a smooth machine and a heck of a good workout! We worked a lot on activating our core, inner & outer thighs and glutes. Under Mary's guidance we focused on breathing techniques to get the most out of each position. I had a great time in the sunny little studio which is located only a couple minutes off 84! So easy to find. I hope to take advantage of the deals she's offering in the near future. Gotta get toned up for the wedding! Thanks Mary!
