The instructors Susan, Donna, Sarah, and now Liz are motivating, kind, and very tuned in to where you are at in your work out. There is a very warm accepting vibe, and the competition aspect is gone, so you can truly get the work out you need. Having this gym a stone's throw away from my house is ideal BUT if the facilities were dirty and mismanaged I probably would not continue to be a member. As Linley S mentioned in her review - the machines are constantly maintained and whether you like cardio or want to lift weights - you will be hard pressed to have to wait very long for anything. Have to go someplace afterwards - clean and spacious changing rooms are available for members. Healthtrax offers a myriad of options - from fitness classes to personal/group training sessions - to get your sweat on. Additionally (and a rarity I might add) this gym has a racquetball court and an all weather pool. Strangely it was the racquetball court that drew me in and since joining I have spent many evenings attempting to beat Mark C. Have kids and can't find a sitter - no problem. Childcare and children's activities are available so the whole family can go. Monthly membership prices are a bit higher than those $10/month gyms in the area but the quality is definitely better. Nobody likes to workout ALL the time - but it's nice that there is a place that makes it a bit easier when you walk through the doors.
