So here's the thing, I can't understand why this place has gotten such a bad rap. Maybe it was someone on a bad day. I was in an accident on Sunday and these folks were the ones who were contracted to pick up cars. The driver took me to the hotel after picking up my car and I was able to talk with someone on Monday and get updated information. Yes, my insurance company handled getting my car out of the yard and to the repair shop but every time I called and asked a question I was given the answer I needed promptly. Linda in the office even helped me out by going and taking pictures of my car for me so I could get a jump on all of the insurance stuff. Thanks for all the help. read more

My father got into an accident on Friday after Thanksgiving due to someone cutting him off. The police called for their contract towing service which was Puleio's. I watched this inexperienced tow truck operator mess around trying to get the pickup onto the flatbed unsuccessfully for 25 minutes . I was waiting till the operator got the truck loaded but needed to get to the hospital because my father was transported to the ER. Initially there was driver side damage as well as steering issues to the truck. come to find out now the passenger side had a window blown out, fender damage and somehow the tonneau cover received damage. The Puleio team transported the wrecked car from the accident scene to their facility, and today gave access in order to retrieve remaining items from the wreckage. I just have to say, I don't understand how this company is still in business with the customer service it gives out. I had called this place because my car broke down and the guy I had spoken to on the phone, whom I'm assuming is the manager was utterly rude and disrespectful.! He had the audacity to cursed ME out and tell me to "go cry to my mother" and "how my credit card wasn't good enough for him to use." Terrible. Got my car towed by them off the turnpike. These "geniuses" put the hooks on the control arms of the car and completely bent them. How difficult is it to lean how to tow a car properly. Great idea for State troupers to have a contract with a company that has 1 star rating on yelp. Really inspires confidence. read more

If I could rate below a 1 star I would. I got towed from NJ Turnpike to parking lot. I was told the tow was $160.00. I researched it and the tow should've been $107.00 due to restrictions put in place to stop dishonest towing companies on the NJ Turnpike. I called the company and got the worse treatment by a company that I ever had. Just one on the rudest and most abusive people I've ever had to deal with! Needless to say, I contacted the NJ Turnpike and lodged a complaint and I'm waiting for my $53.00 refund! So don't let them swindle you... most people don't know about the pricing on the NJ Turnpike. read more

I am very dissatisfied with puleiou's towing. I wish I had read these reviews before they towed my car. Unfortunately the turnpike trooper is the one who called them, and they conspired together charging me $150.00 for a 5 minute tow. When I told him I didn't have the money, he then told me to give him $100.00 as I was gathering up the money he saw I had a credit card and once again asked for 150.00 bucks. I am a triple A member which means I don't pay for the tow. I showed him my membership from the triple A app. And he said that's not acceptable he needs the actual card. I called triple A, and he refused to talk to them. Triple A apologized to me for the tow company behavior, and asked me to pay them and they will reimburse me. If anyone tell you they'll call puleiou's towing, you tell them nevermind and save yourself the headache!!!!! read more

I just had a horrible experience with this company. On 6/19/21 the tow guy named Oscar P. asked for my hitch to help tow the car from the turnpike and it nor the cover was seen again. They have also broken a light cover on my vehicle. After several calls as of 7/8/21 Tom states that Oscar said he doesn't have it nor will he replace it. This place is horrible but luckily I will not stop here. I will be contacting everybody to notify them of the horrible customer service of this company and will be taking them to small claims court as soon as I finish adding up all of the costs to replace what was lost and broken. read more

My boyfriend had his motorcycle impounded and these guys are contracted to do the towing. However, their trucks are not properly equipped to strap down motorcycles, even though the truck driver insisted he knew what he was doing. My boyfriend had to instruct him and then he didn't even listen to him. They strapped the bike incorrectly, my boyfriend took pictures because he had a feeling they would damage his expensive bike. Well low and behold, when he got the bike back, the exact place where the tow driver was instructed not to put pressure on was damaged and the multi variable cluster on the left handlebar was cracked and slid down the handlebar. When he contacted the tow company and asked the driver to own up to his mistake he was rudely dismissed and told to leave the premises and to 'come get it in court'. He wasn't even seeking monetary compensation as the damage was not terrible. Just an acknowledgment that they may want to look at their procedures for towing motorcycles. This establishment is very unprofessional and rude. They are a stain in Middlesex county and they embarrass the very professional, respectful, and courteous Middlesex Sheriff's department. These guys have a municipally granted monopoly on towing off of a localized stretch of the NJ Turnpike. Guess what happens to pricing and customer service when you grant someone a local monopoly for a service that is desperately needed in dire circumstances. They charged me for a "secondary tow" in addition to the $80 primary tow charge off the turnpike. When I asked what a secondary tow was, they responded "Any tow to ANY location after you get off the turnpike." Really?! So the second the tow truck hits a freeway exit, I get hit with a charge that is impossible to avoid? "Yeah." Ridiculous, avoid these guys at all costs if possible. read more

I recently was towed off the NJ Turnpike and felt the fee was the same as it would be anywhere else. The driver was most respectful and knowledgeable as to where my vehicle should go to be repaired. As a single women traveling it could have been real bad, but this was not the case. Puleio's repaired my car in a timely fashion and got me back on my trip home. I was shown where I could go to get something to eat and informed that it was a safe area to be walking etc. How courteous and considerate. I wished I lived nearby because I would use them anytime I had a need, I am truly grateful for their help in this recent breakdown. read more
