I wish I would've gotten the name of the gentleman who helped me. I was on my way to work and the "mud flap" (maybe) came undone while driving, causing it to smack against my tire. I Never leave reviews but I had to say that DJ at Three Star Auto was absolutely wonderful. I had gone to them for an oil change. But I forgot to let him know that my husband wrote down the kind of oil to put in our car. DJ said not to worry cause they always check the make and model before doing anything. Being nervous I had call my husband but hearing DJ speak to my husband and myself stating that they are using the correct oil. I felt very safe with him and turns out DJ was correct. 2019 Jeep went in with the dreaded "check engine light" and was running very rough. Chris did the diagnostic check and determined it was one bad coil and changed that and all the spark plugs, plus a few more "maintenance items" I requested. The service is honest, professional, and provides outstanding value for your dollar. I trust 3 Star 100%. Why? Because they could have charged me for 5 additional coils that were not really needed and I wouldn't have been the wiser. Totally honest establishment. So I was told to check this place out for an oil change. So I made an appointment, so glad I did. This little garage is attached to a shell station off of prospect plains road. Let me tell you the best service I ever had. The manager chris was polite, kind and courteous. He didnt speak to me like I'm an idiot( girls you know what I'm talking about) I was treated with respect and a brain. The service was quick. In under an hour I had my oil changed and fluids checked and car waiting. I also didn't have to readjust the seat(thanks guys) that means alot. If you decide to go make sure you make an appointment bc this place gets sooo busy. So if you're in need of car repairs,oil change or any other service check them out you won't be disappointed. The prices for service are totally reasonable also they wont break the bank which is a good thing. All in all totally happy with their service and plan to keep going for my oil change. Edited Review: I am giving 4 Stars based on the amazing customer service the owner Lew gives. I went into Three Star when I hit a pothole and wrecked my tire. I always had great service at the gas station and didn't really know any other place to go, so I went here. Beyond the pothole damaged tire, an additional tire had a slow leak. I decided to buy a pair of tires to replace the one I lost to the pothole and the one with the slow leak. There was a small misunderstanding with which tires to replace, however when the owner Lew found out about this, he personally called me on a weekend to remedy the situation. I learned a few lessons from my experience at Three Star Auto, chalk the tires you want changed and always ask for Lew if you are unsatisfied with the work performed on your vehicle. Have been going to Three Star Auto, mainly for gas, for the 2 years I've lived in the area. One year ago, they replaced a tire, destroyed by an unfriendly encounter with a pothole. As I recall, I wasn't charged for the labor. Another time, I stopped in urgently because my engine light went on, indicating a fluid problem. One of the mechanics, probably busy with another auto, looked under the hood and saw that the coolant reservoir was empty. He put coolant in and charged only for the antifreeze. One year, to the day, after the pothole issue, I had an unfriendly meeting with a center island, causing a destroyed tire and struts. AAA towed the car toThree Star Auto where DJ, Tony and Chris went to work and replaced and repaired what was necessary. An alignment was also needed. I am impressed with the courtesy, effectiveness promptness and thoroughness of this auto center and it's mechanics. DJ even gave me a ride home after the tow. Went again & was GLAD I did. Very good service. I compared apples to apples & it turns out they were less expensive than the dealer. 1 - Battery was cheaper with the dealer by only $20. But it was not a Delco. (It was a cheaper one) 2 - Brakes....THIS IS BIG. (here I thought the savings was huge) Turns out, I had the rotors resurfaced. NOT replaced. Should have got new instead. Let me just say that any Mercedes owner should realize that it's a complicated German vehicle for which parts and repairs can be very expensive. With that said... there is not enough good to say about Three Star. I'm a bit of a mechanic myself but there are things I can't do or don't have time to and I've been through a dozen bad "pro mechanics." Recently my weekend car (pride and joy), my Mercedes CL500 AMG developed a leak at the valve cover gaskets. Then... a dreaded electrical issue. I had considered a Mercedes specialist but after talking to Lew he assured me he could handle both issues. I do not trust this car in just anyone's hands but my past experiences with Lew & Chris were good so I went with it. Well, not only did they do a stellar job but the price was extremely fair. We (bigly pregnant self, husband, and 3 year old) were driving from DC to Boston because my mom had died and the memorial service was the next morning (so basically we had a lot going on) and somewhere in New Jersey, a state we are not familiar with at all, our car started sputtering and acting weirdly. I googled the closest place to go, and this was it. They were very busy but sympathetic to our plight and spent the next 1.5 hours troubleshooting. It had more to do with the age of the car. they spent two hours fixing it while I waited and refused to take additional payment--even though they deserved it. I am a first time customer and also the last time customer at the Three Star Auto Service. For replacing a small part, less then $40, Christ charged me 6 times of the part cost with an invoice without hours and hourly rate. So expensive! The repair job was not clean. My CD box cover in the trunk was removed to under the driver seat and not returned to the original place. My trunk was a mess after the repair. In addition, Chris quoted me $115 for oil change - the most expensive oil change quotation I ever received. No wonder, why my friends living in Monroe for more than 10 years not recommend me the repair services of the Three Star Auto Service. After phone conversation with the owner and manager, Lew P. of Three Star Auto Service, my CD player still doesn't work properly, can't fast forward, can't go to the "Next" CD. so disappointed. Very upset with this place. I have Honda Civic 2010 and I had my right front tire brake pad fall off its rotor. Walked into their service via AAA, and had both front tires brake pad & rotor replaced and all this was about a year ago. It turns out that my left front tire brake pad almost fell off and had to replace it this Monday. This is absolutely unacceptable as I had paid them for 2 front brake pads to be replaced and it seems they only had replaced the one that was broken and did not bother touching the other (left) tire brake pad. I could have gotten into accident and possibly have died. I will be contacting FTC and other government oversight organization along with a combination of two receipts: the receipt from this place indicating that the repair was indeed for 2 brake pads and the receipt from other auto shop I had visited Monday indicating that the above brake pad needed to be changed again. read more

His team was extremely diligent with diagnosing and correcting the issue, and Lew was excellent about keeping us informed of the progress and thoroughly explaining their findings along the way. The total shop bill from Three Star Auto Service ended up being approximately one-fifth of the quoted price given by the dealership after they'd had a chance to inspect the car.
