After assessing the difficulty of the tow (a vehicle without keys, parked on a residential street in-between two other parked cars) they quoted a totally fair and reasonable price. Since, without keys, the vehicle couldn't be moved out of its parking spot in a traditional way, they actually found a neighbor to move their car so the tow truck could get behind our vehicle. This is an incredibly thorough and smart level of service. Once the vehicle was dropped off at its destination, Mr. Hook Towing sent photos to show exactly where it was parked. Then, ini minutes, I was able to pay over the phone and got an emailed receipt. Being that I was out of town when all this happened, you can imagine what a relief it was to receive such thoughtful, professional, and quality service. I'm so glad I called Mr. Hook Towing! While I was waiting inside the reception area, I overheard the mechanic talking to the guy at the front desk--just casually throwing around the n-word, saying (basically) "those 'n' words this, those 'n' words that," while the guy at the reception area desk was just nodding along, agreeing--not using the same language, but not telling this mechanic to stop, either. I suppose he thought that since I was a white woman, I wouldn't say anything or feel offended. However, I did not feel like listening to hate speech . We hear enough of it in the news. I finally told the man at the desk that the language was inappropriate and racist--and a few other things. I was only waiting for a Lyft driver, so I went outside. I could imagine the sexist comments they might make in my absence, and laughing about it later. It puzzles me: this service area is in a super diverse town with all kinds of people coming through, but here's this guy unloading his attitudes toward their Black customers, as if it were perfectly fine to talk that way.

Thank God for Bobby's Towing!…read more Due to an alternator gone bad, I found myself stuck on the side of I-4 in Port Orange Florida. Without even the ability to have flashers work on my car (due to no electrical) and an hour of phone calls with AAA to finally have them say; "we can't provide service for you tonight, you will have to wait until tomorrow morning..." I was scared and frustrated. One call to Bobby's and they had a true patriot at the scene. Ricky was not only experienced and knowledgeable but also a veteran who has served our country and it showed. I think he knew how nervous I was about being on the side of a busy highway at night without flashers and it being pitch black with cars whizzing by at 80 miles an hour. With all that said he was calm and professional. There weren't scare tactics, guilt trips of it being late on a Friday night or bad-mouthing of "other companies". None of it.
