This place is awesome I wish they had Publix in Virginia good. They have good soups, salads and sandwiches. Nice flow in the store. The extras are what make a grocery store great in this place definitely had the extras the deli was awesome and they also had a nice setup where you could go in and grab an entire plate of food. I'm originally from one apart and this place has changed a lot read more

I'll echo the other reviewers and say this is one of the best Publix locations I've been to. Tucked away in the Winter Park village, in the renovated space of what used to be an Albertsons, this Publix is huge, spacious, well organized and has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. This location has tons of Greenwise options which is very important for me. The organic produce section is fresh. Unfortunately this location doesn't carry organic external products (skin care, shampoo, etc). Curious, since every other aisle has a dedicated section. I usually shop at Chamberlin's next door so between the two, I get everything I need. I just wish it were closer. Side note: There is another (albeit older) Publix located just south down the street but I heard they were closing. I hope not b/c I don't like being crowded (i.e. College Park Publix). read more

I love this Publix! Always, always excellent service. It's always clean and fresh. Publix, where shopping is a pleasure. read more

Publix - Deli - Grocery Near Me - Winter Park, Florida

I don't go to this store more than a few times a year (if I need to go to Publix, I hit up the one in College Park or the one near Ferncreek Ave.), but I get the feeling that that's about to change. I stopped in yesterday for a few minutes and was reminded of how much I enjoy this store, especially since, as far as I know, it's the closest one to me that resembles the really nice Publix on Lake Mary Blvd. (near I-4) in Lake Mary. That one likely is my all-time favorite, and I'm thinking that if I go to this one in Winter Park a little more often, it'll rapidly escalate on my list of favorite Publix locations. The store is spacious and appears to be well-stocked. You can find pretty much anything in here - as Dina N. mentioned, there are DVDs and books for sale here! I think other Publix stores have them as well, but not in the quantity that this store does. I walked by the DVDs without browsing, so I'm not sure what their prices are, but perhaps there are a few gems hidden in the selection? I interacted only with the cashier when I checked out yesterday (I only bought maybe 3-4 items), but she was very pleasant. The store also appears to be clean. Definitely check it out if you live nearby as it's perhaps larger and more varied than are the Publix stores on Colonial Dr. and Edgewater Dr., the two I previously mentioned. I'll have to go back again sometime soon - and also to the store in Lake Mary - but I'm thinking that this one resembles the Lake Mary store ... which is a wonderful thing. Four stars from me for now, though maybe after some additional visits, I'll up it to a five-star review. Go Publix! read more

This Publix has exceptional bakery and meat counters, which are my main reasons for mainly going to this one even though it is only one of four that are really close to my house. The staff is so so helpful and most importantly, ABUNDANT. I have never had a long wait for anything in this store. Side note- I feel like this and most of the other "new" Publixes are too big. Especially since they still employ that timeless tactic of having the dairy and meat all the way across the store from where you enter. I don't freeze meat so I'm here at least 3 times a week and that walk is torturous after a long day in the office :) read more

This Publix is great! It is huge, and it has so much stuff! It used to be an Albertson's, so the layout is a little different than normal Publix stores, but this is not a problem. My wife and I will go out of our way to shop at this Publix instead of one closer to our house. read more

This Publix is awesome! Even though the one at Horatio is closer to me, I still drive to this one. My wife and I love the way the inside looks and the layout is great. The employees are wonderful as well. I rarely ever walk by one without them telling me hello and asking how I am doing. The cashiers are always friendly and usually start small talk while they are ringing up my items. I will always go to this Publix as it is my favorite! read more

Publix is just great in general, always clean and ways very friendly employees. But after going a remodel, this particular winter park village publix is on top of its game! It's one of the largest publix I have been in. There are several differences of this particular store from the others. They have added a hot bar with chinese buffet, sushi, made to order asian cuisine, and gelato bar. They have added a soup and olive station, a massive cheese selection and wine area. In the meat department they have fresh filets eliminating a trip to the butcher. They also have a nice seafood section, similar to those found at other publix. The remainder of the store is a similar set up to what you would find at any other publix, just a little larger. read more

Probably one of the worst Publix's that I've been to. The pharmacist technician was extremely rude and sighed when I asked a question regarding my insurance. However, the pharmacist was kind. I then went to the hot food and it took a couple of minutes to be acknowledged, not a big deal. I asked for my meal, as he printed out the label for the food, I asked for a bread roll and had a major attitude when I did so. Never coming back to this Publix. read more

HOLY MOLY!!! I'm a Lonnng time Publix shopper and travel extensively for work (I miss Pub Subs when I'm outta the territory). All I can say...is...this store is the BOMB! I wish I lived next door (instead of 3.5H away). Walked in for a couple of things and was immediately blown away! It's HUGE, clean, well thought out, and has all the Publix usuals. What was supposed to be a quick in/out turned into a 30 min walk-a-bout! I just can't say enough about this store...I don't even know where to start! Go see for yourself! read more

The Winter Park Village location is the best! I haven't been to this Publix that much, but every single time I've been here, I've had some of the best customer service experiences I've ever had! No matter which department I walk through, I always get a "Hello, how are you today" or "may I help you?", and simple things like that absolutely make my day each time! Plus, every cashier who has helped me at this store has been enjoyable to talk to! This is definitely not the closest Publix to me, but whenever I am in the Winter Park area, I ALWAYS make it a point to come in here! read more

The neighborhood publix where the cookie lady and cheese lady know you by face, the aisles are always clean, and the baggers and cashiers make small talk. read more

Sushi guy was great, and the sushi was nice and fresh. The store is super clean and has a great lunch area for healthy options. I would give 5 stars but I went to the Starbucks and it was awful. They don't know how to make the drinks. I ordered a Frappuccino; rarely do I order one but it was almost all ice and no flavor. As a former Starbucks shift and trainer, it tasted like they forgot the base, and used the measuring cup for the next size up when they did the ice. read more

Parking is horrible, Store is not Publix quality and stature. Ill go to my local publix in lee vista.

Pros: uh it's the only Publix ever to have its own Starbucks...need I say more? Oh yeah they also are the only Publix to have its own attached cooking school..I'm so lucky I live close and I can call this place my local grocery. Love the workers and they always keep it clean. read more

Thanks to my publix friends for handling this situation! Your efforts are greatly appreciated. It's going to be ok

This is the nicest Publix I have been to. It it huge and has a great organic selection. It is so spacious and not to sound cheesy but, truly a pleasure to shop at! They also have a large selection of vitamins and beauty products. They even sell DVDs. Even though it is a little further from me, I am going to shop at this Publix from now on. It is that nice. read more

This Publix recently got an "upgrade", which, as far as I can tell, was mostly superficial. Despite its large size and beautiful facade, I often can't find the things that I want - and, that's sort of the important part of the grocery store :-) They do have the almost-attached liquor store, which doesn't hurt! read more

Great Publix. Good location, cool layout, nice employees, clean, and well organized. When the Winter Park Village first opened many years ago, this was an Albertsons. Sometime in the past few years when Publix bought out a bunch of the Albertsons here in Florida they converted this one to a Publix and they did a great job of remodeling and sprucing it up. I like how they kept the separate liquor store that is detached and in it's own little building next door in the parking lot. I always thought this was a plus of Albertsons because it's nice to be able to grab some liquor or a keg for a party in the same trip an not have to go out of the way. All in all, this grocery store is as good as it gets and in general Publix is awesome. read more

This is one of the best Publix around. The staff is really friendly no matter what department you are in. They also have a great selection of Greenwise (organic items) and gluten free items. read more

I pointed out that a sign said the strawberries were 2.29 instead of 4 dollars.. I even showed them a picture of the sign.. Thinking I should get them for that price.. They looked at me like I was crazy or trying to steal the strawberries and made me walk over the sign.. After looking at publix rules not only they shouldn't have done that I should of gotten the strawberries for free.. Most rude experience I had a publix thus far read more

Winter Park Village is not close to where I live. The Regal Cinema is the only reason I go to Winter Park Village. On my last two visits here, I decided to check out this Publix location and get a submarine sandwich combo for lunch. Their sandwiches never disappoint. On one visit, I had the turkey sub. And on my second visit, I had the roast beef sub. Both were on multi grain bread, and both were delicious! And I love the selection of vegetables offered to top your sandwich. This Publix has a really nice layout. And I am really impressed with the in store services. Along with the deli and bakery, there is a hot food bar, sushi, fountain drinks, and coffees. There is also a Publix Aprons party planning center available. Food can be purchased for carry out, and there is also seating inside as well as outside for eating. The dining area also has an outlet at every table and has free Wi-Fi service avaiable. Which is nice if you have your laptop with you while having lunch. On my last visit, however, there was a guy camped out at a table, using it as a make shift office. I don't mind if someone is on their laptop while having their coffee, but when you have your mail covering the table and you have been nursing a soft drink for over an hour, I think there's a problem. Especially when people are looking for a table to eat their meal. Go to the library! Otherwise, I really like this Publix. The store is clean and spacious. There are a few other Publix I shop at that have rather cramp aisles. And there have been times I either have to move aside to let someone pass, or they move aside to let me pass. Not at this location. The aisles have plenty of room. The service is friendly, and the employees will go out of their way to help you with your shopping needs. And their selections of products is a plus. I did not have a chance to visit the Publix liquor store, which is across the street from the main store. I will have to visit the next time I am here. For a great shopping experience, or if you just want to grab a bite to eat, this Publix location is probably one of the better stores I have visited. If I lived closer, I would do my grocery shopping here. read more

I have always been a fan of this Publix as it is extremely close to my office and has so many different lunch selections. But, as of lately, i have noticed on a recurring basis that the sub station employees have a terrible attitude. Also, the station is often out of spring mix and the spinach looks wilted and so is the shredded lettuce. Why can't the spring mix be filled again? Why does all the greens looks old and wilted. SO frustrating when I am craving a sub or wrap. read more

This is the nicest publix I have ever been in. They have tons of produce options and friendly staff. I enjoy coming here. Their bakery area and gelato looks super yummy. read more

This is a great publix. It's a busy location but they manage to keep the store clean and organized. Bakery guy is friendly. Greet and is happy to help. I love my sweets. Only negative thing that has happen so far is getting money order from customer service. Geez!!! They kept having side conversations as if I weren't there, even managers put their needs before mine. I was there for 15mins when it should of took less then 5. But I'll still give 4 stars. read more

Just had my 1st publix sub & I'm in LOVE! I can't believe it's taken me so long to eat here. I just moved to the area & I'll be back

publix is forever the greatest place ever, but I have had issues with the deli messing up my online order twice now. whether it be putting stuff on the sub that wasn't requested or missing ingredients that were. please take the time when reading the online order. thanks!! read more

Good Luck trying to get a sub. Usually one person preparing and takes a looooooong time. Subs are good but the wait is ridiculous.

I come here all the time for my weekly shop...but seriously what is up with their chicken? I have bought their fresh breasts at least 8 different times. Each time dinner was like chewing on a leather shoe with zero taste. Last week I decided to try their 'greenwise' i think it is called. Thought because it was packaged differently it would be different and be juicy and tasty. Wrong. Both myself and hubs thought it was 'blah' again and took some work with the molars to chew it. I do go to Wholefoods and have bought chicken from there also and never have the same problem. I have been told I am a good cook, so I am aware of not cooking the chicken to the point of it turning to rubber....but slow cooker, broil, bbq or roasted is always the same. Rubbery, chewy and no taste. Please check your chicken supplier....kind of dubious as to what those poor chickens are injected with prior to their fate or following. :( read more
