Still five stars as I've returned several times now since my initial visit. The frozen items here are so good! I have added new items to my palate given I've been very happy with previous purchases of the cod and halibut fillets, the marinated mushrooms and the creamy risotto. This time I purchased the Grass Fed Beef Shepard's Pie and the Skin-on Snapper filets. The Shepard's Pie was amazing! It was so good, I went back a few days later and purchased it again, along with the mushrooms and the risotto (which is so quick and easy to make for guests). I'm having the snapper tonight and based on my experiences with the cod and halibut, I know it will be just as good. Great arrangement of products. They don't have that many lamb products sadly, but a good variety of meats and even seafood and other protein sources I hadn't even thought of eating. We went in to grab some beef to make beef Wellington and thankfully the staff was knowledgeable enough and knew what kind of cut we needed. It was our first time making beef Wellington and it came out superb! I also really like that they have a frozen herb and aromatics like garlic and ginger section already chopped up. It is very clean, you can see high quality meats, seafood and other products throughout, great prices, and the staff is nice and helpful. Also, you find a variety of specialty meats at Wild Fork Foods including but not limited to bison, kangaroo, alligator, ostrich, pheasant, even frog legs. Wild Fork is my new favorite place to get my everyday frozen meats and to try new things! Where else can I get frozen kangaroo!?!?! I have not been brave enough to buy that yet. But at $10 for 3lbs of ground beef when even Walmart is charging $17 for the same thing they have been put into heavy shopping rotation. I also tried those triple meat hamburger patties which were DELICIOUS. The cashier got me all signed up for email specials on checkout. I was introduced to Wild Fork through a Yelp event even though I had driven past this location for a number of years without stopping in! The big deal about Wild Fork is their selection of meats that go through a "blast freeze" at the beginning of their sourcing in Nebraska and Colorado. The store is rectangular and not large. However, I was both surprised and impressed with the sizable selection of meats, veggies, desserts, seasonings and other food amenities. My go to so far has been the grass-fed, organic hamburger patties which are convenient and affordable. They cook up well with only a salt and pepper seasoning needed at the minimum. I first came here for a yelp event. I didn't know what to expect! I was highly impressed with the large selection of meats and seafood and the actually fair prices! I came back for the ground chicken. $4 per pound for antibiotic free chicken is great! They deliver for orders over $35. The delivery went great! What a wonderful place! This place is so beautifully organized and clean! The departments are clearly layed out and they have lots of sides and appetizers, frozen herbs, desserts, it's so awesome! I bought a few things to try and I had the sockeye salmon tonight. It was pretty decent for a frozen salmon. It defrosted very quickly in the Cold water and I was able to make it for dinner tonight. I took one star off because although the employee was very nice, he was not very knowledgeable about the spices. I wanted to get one for the salmon, but he mentioned that he did not eat seafood so that he didn't know. I thought to myself, you should probably know what's good on what if you're working in aplace that sells a lot of different types of meats. He didn't really seem that he was super interested either. I also asked if there was a restroom there because I wanted to wash my toddler's hands and he said it was out of order. Two minor strikes for me! I've been wanting to visit Wild Fork for a while and I finally made it happen! The store had just about any type of meat you could imagine. It's a great source for meal prepping as everything needed to create a full meal is there. Even down to dessert! The prices were super reasonable as there were many items that were comparable to or cheaper than larger supermarkets. The store was very well organized and stocked. The employees were super nice and helpful as they made suggestions for meal ideas I could consider. The only downside was the super small parking lot. It seems as if there are spaces for about 10 cars which isn't good for busy times. Went here for a Yelp event, and it was my first visit inside. They had a catering company grilling up some of their meats, and this cheese filled bread, all of which were spectacular. I am a huge fan of Wild Fork. I usually take advantage of their home delivery service and have the food delivered to my home. This comes from their Sand Lake Road location. However, I do like the personal experience of coming to this location here in Winter Park. The staff is extremely personable and professional and the prices are actually very good. Don't get me wrong, you can still buy wagyu beef and will cost an excess of one hundred dollars a pound, but for the most part, their prices will beat most around and their quality is superb. In addition to their meat and seafood, I also regularly get their frozen herbs. The parking is a bit tight here and traffic can get a bit crazy, so getting in and out might also be a little bit of a hassle. But be rest assured, this minor hassle is more than compensated by what you get from Wild Fork. I would definitely recommend a visit here and I give it an overall rating of five stars. Go.check them out and if you are too far from either this location or one of their other locations, I would recommend checking out their website and having the food delivered. It is that good. However this is a business owned by an international conglomerate and the steaks especially were horrible. I ordered some ribeyes along what they said was Berkshire pork chops. The first item I ever had from here was a tomahawk steak that my brother grilled during hurricane Ian when he lost power and when I tell you it was the best steak I've ever had, I'm not exaggerating. I don't even like salmon usually and I really liked the salmon over the cedar plank and couldn't wait to get my hands on more. In our basket we also received a few gift cards so today we went to the store for the first time. Upon entry one of the employees greeted us and asked if he could help find anything for us. We pulled up our list we had picked out prior too and this gentleman went around the store and brought back almost every item to our cart. Thank you for the amazing customer service! The store is well organized and it wasn't too difficult to find what you're looking for, but we appreciated the offer with our little one in tow. In the middle of the freezers they have recipe cards which I thought was a nice touch, especially for those days when I dread thinking of dinner ideas. The parking lot is small and they were busy when we went, but with some patience and after a circle or two we were able to get a spot. To avoid this issue, you can pay the membership and have them deliver for free to you! We planned on using this service but learned the hard way that you can't use gift cards online... we failed to see the fine print on the gift card, and the website was a little misleading by having a spot that said "discount codes/gift cards". But just keep in mind gift cards must be used in store. If you want some great quality proteins that you're going to throw in the freezer anyway, I highly recommend wild fork for you! My regular items are ground beef, Berkshire pork, Argentina and Key West shrimp, Atlantic salmon fillets, sausages, and we buy our brisket here too.
