I know they have made some changes since it first opened, but it did feel sort of less cluttered. I say that because while the aisles felt wider, the produce less crammed, and a back corner reconfigured, I still have never mastered the art of shopping Trader Joe's. The placement of items seems so random to me, and unituitive. Why are there peanut butter cups and harissa above frozen vegetables? Why are cookies over nearly everything frozen from dinner entrees to breakfasts? It can be a little frustrating for 'compartmental shoppers.' If you want fresh flowers, make sure you go early in the day for the best selection. And if you're going for flowers near the end of the week, be also forewarned that a number of church flower guilds use TJ to create and/or supplement their weekly arrangements because TJ gets some unique flowers in smaller bunches at decent prices.

I've worked in customer service over 20 years but wow. Just wow. I'm flabbergasted and the sh*ttastic service and inventory. I used to come here a couple of times a week for things but no anymore. Super disappointing!!!

I do wish it were easier to obtain a bag, but I understand availability is limited due to the nature of how the program works. The prices can sometimes be higher than what you would pay at Walmart, but when you compare the quality, selection, and overall experience, the slightly higher cost feels worthwhile. Whole Foods offers many products that other stores do not, making it a valuable shopping experience, especially for people who enjoy trying new things. The store itself is clean, organized, and easy to navigate. I've never felt overwhelmed by the layout, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. The music is not too loud or distracting, which adds to the overall pleasant shopping experience.

Unlike the Lakeview Pig, the produce selection and quality here is great. The layout offers more breathing room, and the staff is across the board friendly and helpful. I've previously dealt with frustration of cashiers being rough while bagging my produce -- I spent a good 45 seconds picking the perfect apple, and they bruise it before I leave the premises? I digress... they have a fun selection of seasonal decor/hostess gifts at the very front.

The dairy section is small, but I should probably eat less dairy anyway. I enjoy walking around and seeing all the fun packaging (I tell myself I'm not falling for marketing gimmicks, just appreciating good design). The had some chicken breast and coffee creamer on BOGO free deals that I scooped up. The people at the check-out lines are always so nice. I believe there's a discount for UAB employees, too.

Convenient parking although it is adjacent to the elementary school which can be a challenge during certain times of the day. As others have noted, the deli is pretty good. The best breakfast version still belongs to the Lakeview locale. Like most of the Piggly Wigglies, the checkout is quick and efficient. See my review of the Liberty Park on why they win this feature though. The other nice element is the outdoor seating, which I have never really taken advantage of, but it is nice. The wine shop is set-off on its own, so that is good. With that said, it isn't as nice as the Publix in MBV, which is not as nice as its predecessor the Western in the same space. I miss people walking around drinking wine whilst they shop.
