Hands down, the best Publix in Orlando. They really stepped it up with the hot bar and cooking classes probably to get a lot of the "hipsters" who are going to be in he area to check out Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. Awesome job by this Publix team. Even as I walk around the store writing this, everyone is saying hello. I'm a Floridian, so I know if I go to Publix and be polite and kind the same energy will be given in return...not at this location. I just wanted to grab two subs for dinner and Kiara at the Deli did not seem happy about it. It's 8:45pm so I know it will not be fully stocked so I know to be patient, yet even being kind and patient lead to me feeling like I was a thorn in this woman's side. The moment I walked up she mentioned they were out of white bread. That was not a issue at all, I wanted wheat bread for both subs and said such...she grabbed a different bread, so I kindly mention I wanted wheat, that seemed to upset her. Then asked for turkey and a Italian. The Italian meats were not fully prepped at that time so I am willing to wait. When she comes back I begin to describe my subs. I tried to start with one at a time but she wanted to jump back and forth between them both. I have one sub directions messaged to me so it would be a lot easier to just do one at a time so I politely explain that and that also seemed to bother her. I luckily get through my personal sandwich order and for the second I ask if they have sliced avocado. Her reply is I have to go get it from the produce section. So I do and hand it to her and she says "so what you want me to do with this?" I asked if she could put sliced avocado on the sub, and if that was something they did not do then it was ok and I would gladly do so personally later on. This again seemed to irritate her, so I just kept my smile and tossed kept my manners while this person just made me feel like me asking her to make me a sub was hellish for her. I don't know if it was a bad day or if my presence just upset this women but I felt like I was legit ruining her whole day. It was a very clean Publix though. read more

No secret, I love Publix. Their prices are out of line but the service tends to make up for it. This store is as good as any. I did happen to walk up to the deli while a younger guy was having a meltdown because they weren't using the numbers to order people. So he had pulled a ticket and was like 5 people back, so he went around and shopped to speed things up. When he came back, the number on the board hadn't changed, but a bunch of people were there ahead of him and he flipped out. He didn't really get anywhere, and I felt bad for the deli workers, but I get his point. Moral of the story - check to make sure they are using the numbers at this deli. Or, Publix deli folk, make sure you are using them, to prevent drama. Otherwise, no issues. read more

Probably one of the best Publix's I've been to in a while because of one person, Angela. Here's my story: I went there 10/28/16 & purchased two individual brownie bites for my kids. One was decorated as a ghost & the other a pumpkin. Well when I got home I noticed that even tho I was holding them the entire ride home they still managed to get completely messed up & I was somewhat sad because it was a surprise I was going to give to my kids when I got home & there was icing all over the container it was placed in, it was a huge mess. So I called in to complain about it because I thought the holders were supposed to be placed in the containers. I was nicely informed by Angela that the employee who handled the brownie bites was supposed to place a small amount of icing at the bottom to prevent them from sliding around in the container. Angela was so sweet & even offered to drop them off on her way home from work & I politely declined. I would never make her do that but I appreciated the gesture because it's not every day u get great customer service like that. I sincerely appreciated the amazing customer service Angela gave to me. She had the bakery remake the order & the brownie bites were beautiful. My kids loved them Angela. Thank you so much. read more

Very friendly staff work at this Publix. If you ask for something they will generally walk you to the item as opposed to the more common, "" They have a great selection of typical grocery items and a nice selection of gourmet items as well. For wine selection it is good, not great but a wine store is 4 down in the same plaza. My only complaint with this store would be the occasion that you get there after 8pm there seems to be a rush to close the Seafood and Deli sections. read more

I go to this store often after going to Starbucks :-). I just wanted to post some highlights from recent visits. One of the most impressive things I see is people washing & scrubbing down the carts at 6:30 am before the store opens. Makes me feel good about shopping there & confident about their cleanliness. Had to get balloons before work, about 730 am. The person who helped me at the balloon locations wasn't the usual person because it was so early. He took care of what I needed an put the balloons in a bag for easier transportation. This made it really easy to transport to and from my car and all the way through the hospital I work at to the my office. Not one balloon popped!! Great job. Finally today - I just want to complement how well you keep the hot food bar stocked with prepared food for people stopping in after work. I left another store because they didn't have what I wanted & you did. Great job again!! read more

This renovated Publix is only one of two in So. Fla. (The other one is in WPB). The isles are spacious and everything is sparkling clean. This is Publix`s organic concept store. They also have the Publix recipe cards to make meals at home with someone handing out samples of the day. Their new bold coffee was really good and worth a try. Came in this morning to load up on snacks to keep me occupied during a Work Session I was attending and maybe some breakfast. It was fairly easy to locate my snack (fresh pineapple chunks! yum!) and I wandered over to the Bakery to find something to eat and I could smell the croissants from the produce section. This place has it all, hot foods, freshly baked cakes and pastries, olive bar, a wide assortment of cheeses, a small wine selection, fresh fruits/vegetables/meat. This is your one-stop all for anything food related. All food was very fresh, the market was very clean, and items on the shelves were well-organized and easy to find. I think this is my new favorite Publix. Of course shopping is a pleasure in this place. Some locations give me mixed emotions about the grocery store but I had no complaints here. I was especially impressed with the deli. On a weekday at lunch time it is usually a wreck trying to grab a quick bite but not here. As soon as I walked up I was helped and the employee went to slice me some fresh Jerk Turkey (which I love) another employee approached me to ensure that I was being taken care of. Meh...its supposed to be a great Publix and while it is nice, I don't see the hype. The store is nice and clean and while they tout it as a green store it really is a basic Publix with some "green wise" products. The location is convenient for me and others in the Bay Hill area. read more

This place is awesome and brings me joy. It is like the Department Store of grocery stores. There are endless choices. And you may get in shape with all of the long football field sized aisles. It is a fun place to shop. The produce department is endless. My only caveat is that you may not want to shop here 9 to 10 pm as the employees stare at you as if you are going to hurt them, especially on a Friday night. ( Guess they had plans...?) They really want you out and rush you and are not subtle...at all! I found that uncomfortable and may never do that again. Sidenote: the liquor store is the bomb. read more

In my mind the slightly higher prices are totally worth it for the quality of service I always receive at Publix. In this case, we stopped to get a few snacks and drinks while on vacation and one of the managers, Chris, provided excellent service when a BOGO didn't ring up correctly. Not only did he correct the issue, which I would have been more than happy to pay for, but he also zeroed out both items to make up for the 'inconvenience'. Excellent experience overall. read more

I always tend to experience rudeness in this Publix....the employee's sometimes seem SO unhappy. Last Friday 2/10/12 I went into this location around 8pm to get some subs...the woman walked up to me with no greeted and expected me to I guess just say my order...after I stated I'd like some of the chicken tenders in it she stared at me and thought about it for a couple of seconds, moved like a snail to where the chicken tenders we're, looked at them, and then slowly picked them up...coming back she asked what cheese I wanted and got the wrong cheese...I couldn't even understand her because she was talking so low and mumbling. I know it's late and you probably want to go home but at least be happy...especially that you have a job...in the end I just told her to forget about it...by then I didn't even want to waste my time getting some subs... read more

This store knows customer service. I am here for a month on vacation. My first visit to this particular publix location. The manager was exceptionally helpful. He noticed I needed assistance and immediately offered and went to the back of the store to get one of the items I needed. There were 6 registers open with no lines so it was quick to check out. Someone was there to bag my groceries and help me to the car. This manager needs to go to South Carolina and show those managers how easy it is to have happy customers. Went to this Publix 2 days ago at 10:02 pm. The manager was in the doorway and when I was getting out of the car let someone in. They close at 10:00. You could see people still shopping through the window. When I got to the door he said we are closed. I said you just let someone in. He said sorry. I said , all I need is bread for a medical issue. I'll be in and out. Nope sorry. I understand they work a full day and want to go home but I would have been the next one on line it was just bread. I wasn't looking to do a full shopping. Just trying to get some bread to soak up the acid for my GERD. There is no common decency anymore. I will never shop in a Publix again. I also said we're is the closest super market he gave me a walmart miles away. Turns on there was one like two centers away. . So they wouldn't sell me but wouldn't let me goto a competitor. LOVE this Publix! It's always super clean, and I've never seen an employee without a smile on their face. My boyfriend and I are there at least 2 times a week. The only thing I think they can improve on is the deli. It's my nemesis. Things could run a lot faster in that department. I LOVE PUBLIX!!! I ESP like the Pharmacy. I saw another post and they were saying negative things and I really was offended!!! I get all my scripts there and feel that the Pharmacy manager is very kind and always answers all my questions. I would say that if someone has an issue with him than maybe its you not him! The staff and manager has a very hard job, being that most customers do not recognize personal space, get in other peoples conversations, and are quite RUDE!!! SO I give major props for dealing with rude, ignorant people with a smile and grace!!! read more
