Stay away from Instacart Publix ordering. Buy one get one free is a joke. Apparently you have to order 2 to get the one free. My thinking is if you order one then logically you would get the second item. Just had surgery the other day and stuck at home so thought I would give this a try. NEVER AGAIN. Order water of one brand and got a different brand. Ordered apple juice and refunded. So why did I get a different water and not a different apple juice. None of this makes any sense. Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars. read more

Publix is my go to for organized, clean, and friendly shopping. As a creature if habit, I'm always at Publix for Boars Head cold cuts, Eternal Water, Bogo deals; especially on thier organic/hormone free chicken. You also can't go wrong trying one of thier precooked meals, sandwiches, soups, and pastries. read more

I've gone to this Publix multiple times in the past since it's close to my home, and have been using them for grocery delivery through Instacart during the COVID-19 shutdown. Publix usually isn't my first choice for grocery shopping only because they are more expensive than other places, but anytime I do choose them, I'm always very happy with the quality, selection, and the friendly and helpful employees. This location is always clean and the team members are very nice. The only issue I've really had at this location is their pharmacy section. We've had multiple issues getting prescriptions filled in a timely manner along with communication issues (prior to COVID since that would have been understandable), so I don't like to use their pharmacy service. Other than that though, it's a great Publix location. Plus their deli meats and subs are fantastic and never disappoint! Shopping is a pleasure here for sure! read more

(5/12/2022). This was our go to place for platters for parties and showers. Our last order was really disappointing, the deviled eggs especially. The deviled eggs are usually the first things to go, but we (a party of 30) barely ate a quarter of them. The flavor was really off-putting, bland, sugary, strangely flavored, can't put my finger on it, maybe the brine from a can of black olives and Stevia. Not sure what went wrong on this day. Chicken strip was old, but we found some nice wine and hot soup for a cold and rainy day. The kale sausage soup was delicious, loaded with chopped veggies, white beens, and turkey sausage. Staff were helpful and friendly and the store appeared clean. Wine prices were reasonable. read more

This Publix is not as close to me as the one at Conway and Curry Ford. But if I am out running errands and I am nearby, I will stop in. The store is always clean, the employees are all friendly and helpful, and I can always check out in a timely manner. Unlike some Publix I have been to, checking out can take forever. I try to practice patience. But there are times when a customer is holding up the line. And as you stand there, you watch as all of the other register lines move with no problem. Sorry to whine, but I know you have experienced this. And while I am ragging on customers, have you ever went to take a photo to post on yelp or Facebook, only to have someone walk in front of you. I was going to take a photo at the bakery, only to have three people walk up to the display case. Anyway, I will leave it to your imagination as to how great the cakes/pies looked. And then the issue of social distancing. I know there are times when it is impossible. And if I see someone looking at a item in a area I need to go to, I can wait. I am patient. But if I am looking at steaks, I do not like having some guy come up right next to me. Social distance! Six feet! Maybe I need to start carrying a measuring tape with me. At least he was wearing a mask. Anyway, parking is never a problem here. But there are times when it is busy, be prepared to park a little further from the entrance. The employees are courteous, the selection of food items and other products are great, and checkout at the registers usually moves at a good pace. As I said, this Publix is out of the way, but I always make a point to stop in on my way home. And I just remembered. I have a tape measure in the tool box! read more

And FORGET about special requests, though they give you the option the app doesn't add it. You're paying more for the product, service charge, delivery charge and tips. All for the wrong order! Publix is a top notch grocery store. I especially commend their employees, who are working so hard. These people are on the front lines in the crisis, just like health care workers. I have been visiting this Publix for over 2 years I am literally here 3 times out the week. I recently have been having a bad experience with the deli associates. I simply ask for chicken tenders and I was laughed at leaving me very upset. My second encounter I was in line waiting to be served it was my turn and the gentle man walk away I was waiting for 10 kind for 3 pieces of chicken tenders. I normally don't complain which I didn't here it is 3 weeks later. I am beyond hurt because this Publix is 1.9 miles away from me but because of people crappy attitude I have to drive another 2.3 miles to another Publix. read more

Very often,weekly matter of fact there is a chronic problem with out of date food. On three occassions since mid September I have physically handed multiple bags of noodles (the fried dry noodles) for topping salads, or munching. They come in the clear see through bags. I've handed these and said these bags are months out of date and there are more on the shelf, I've handed some directly to personnel on the floor, I've taken bags to the customer service desk.Each time, I tell them exactly the same thing: these bags are months out of date and there are more on the shelf. Every time I get the same response: oh okay we'll take care of it. In a few days I'm back at the store for something and again can't wait to grab a few bags and dammit noodle bags have been put back on the shelf. June 2019 is long gone so take the bags off the shelf and so has July 2019......its not coming back. In the cold shelving processed meats there was the type problem with the smaller packaging of pre-sliced boneless hams. There were five or six of them on the shelf and all were 2 weeks to a month past the use by date. These are not the only two products with this problem however I am sure you get the jest of my complaint. And when packaging becomes so bent, torn, or otherwise damaged throw it away rather wait for a gullible customer puts it in their cart. Publix, I want my shopping to be a pleasure however, if I can't trust what you layout and have to spend an extra hour or more double checking each item.....shopping it not pleasant. You are teaching me that where I shop doesn't matter and I should be less selective: and I can shop elsewhere and get just as good elsewhere. And, while I am at it.....please tell your cashier and baggers to cut the chatty competition on who stayed out the latest and which one got the most stoned because when I unload my csrt: its alllll about me and my groceries. I don't care to hear your gettoish or thugg-like chatter or where you'regokng to put yourupcomkng tattoo. Your crap talk doesn't impress me. It lowers my expectations of your capabilities. read more

This has to be my favorite store! The customer service here is amazing and they are always willing to help. I placed an online order for Publix subs and asked for them to put the toppings on the side so I won't have wet soggy bread. I get there to pick them up and all the toppings were on the sandwiches. I brought it to the employee and she said that she is so sorry that she does see that the order was specific stating to have the toppings on the side. She immediately started to get the subs made. I ended up waiting around 20 minutes due to it being 3 subs. I did not mind waiting and wasn't upsets. Things happen and we all make mistakes. When she was done she apologizes again and said that the new person was the one who made the order and he did not read it correctly. I told her that we all make mistakes and that's how he is going to learn. She said thank you and told me that she was going to walk up to customer service with me so I don't have to pay for my subs. I told her that it's ok I don't mind paying for them. She said let's in us. You have been very patient. I told her thank you so much and that they did not have to do that. Manger came and voided the subs and keep apologizing. I said it's ok and thank you so much. This is what makes a store shine the beautiful customer service! Thanks Publix :) read more

Publix is where I do the majority of my grocery shopping. My favorite thing about Publix is that you'll never find yourself waiting in line even during peak shopping times. I tend to really stock up whenever they have their BOGO's in order to account for their slightly higher prices. If you shop carefully I think that Publix can be just as affordable as other markets. The staff here is always friendly and helpful. Additionally, the selection of meat and produce items always meets my satisfaction. read more

The ladies in the Deli were awesome today (10/29/19) and management went out of their way to help also. We called in a last minute sandwich platter order for an office lunch of about 12 people that we needed within 30 minutes. They got it done in 20. If you have never tried the fried chicken from Publix's delis, then you definitely should do so. It ranks high among our friends when they include restaurant-names among places to bring home fried-chicken dinners. The crust is crispy & has a good flavor. The meat is moist -- even the white meat which can sometimes be dry at some places. And the pre-packaged salad selections offer variety for side dishes. The only problems we generally encounter have been with the deli running out of chicken -- usually around 5PM -- when people come home from work & stop by to bring home chicken for dinner. But you can solve this problem by calling ahead to reserve a box for pickup. read more

I live about halfway between two Publix grocery stores and this one trumps the other on cleanliness, friendliness, customer service, and product availability. Their sushi department has what I'm looking for 99.9% of the time - and if they don't, the woman behind the counter is more than happy to whip something up! I shop at this Publix almost daily. Even if I lived far from this location, I would travel here because the employees are so nice. The cashiers know my children by sight, and are always very courteous. Cheryl, the "Apron's Lady", might be the nicest person on the planet (and makes delicious meals for you to try.) The managers are always helpful if there is a problem. If I need something or cannot find something, there is always someone who is willing to come and look for the product with me. The pharmacists are very helpful, and are always willing to look up potential medication interactions and never act like it is a problem or they are too busy. For those with dietary issues, they have a dedicated "gluten free" area, but also have gluten free products throughout the store. They offer some organic produce, although the variety is not as substantial as "conventional" produce. They also offer vegan cheese (although it is not located with the dairy--it is in the produce department.) In addition, they have multiple options for dairy free ice cream. They have eliminated my need to go to Whole Foods, and are usually less expensive. read more

i love coming to this publix. i used to live up conway and would go to the one on conway and curry ford, and now that i live in belle isle, i definately can tell the difference. best sushi on the run too! publix as a whole is alittle more expensive, but i would rather spend the extra change here because of the bogo deals and customer service than go to walmart--- any day!! not only does walmart give me a panic attack because its so ghetto, but also the fact that publix is a wonderful company, that hire and pay a decent wage, and the employees seem to love their jobs. no descrimination here. hiring all types of people, ones with disabilities and all. which is the reason why this is my groceryu store. also, christian in the deli is awesome! he always makes me laugh! im a fan of this place! read more
