Although this Publix is on the smaller side, its pretty much perfect for the growing Brickell area. I would say the best part about this Publix isn't the inventory as it is slightly condensed to fit the smaller city space, but the staff. The staff at this Publix is always so helpful, cheerful, and accommodating. My wife and I are couponers. We always have a huge stack of coupons with us at checkout which can generally extend the check out time. Whenever we approach, the cashiers always have a smile on their face and are happy to accept even expired coupons. Although the inventory is condensed, we never seem to have a hard time finding what we need. The reason why I didn't give this location 5 stars is because it's hard to compare it to the Publix on Biscayne which just past downtown. That Publix is basically disney world as it is HUGE and has pretty much any item Publix carries. Tip: My wife and I usually walk to Publix, but this Brickell location does offer FREE parking. The garage can be accessed on 1st street. Just make sure you have your receipt punched by the cashier. read more

I don't enjoy shopping here anymore. Yes its very convenient and they have what I want, but so many of the clerks and even the manager always have scowls on their faces. They never greet you, smile or even acknowledge you. What good is a store if they can't say hello? I mean come on! Not the best publix. they have limited stock, the store is smaller than normal, so they just don't have a lot of floor room. if you come at lunch time, expect LONG lines for Deli/Subs. There's construction across the street and a lot of workers along with surrounding business people come in for lunch. sunday nights are also always packed, expect to wait for the checkout! but they do offer free parking, just get it stamped when you checkout! read more

I got some sushi from this Publix the other day (always great sushi) and I asked the chef behind the counter where I could find extra picked ginger. She told me to hand her my prepackaged sushi selection, then proceeded to open it and add so much ginger! For free! She handed it back to me and I happily enjoyed my extra ginger with my lunch. It's really nice when people do things for you that they don't have to. And I was really surprised that a big chain like Publix would even care to go the extra mile to make c customer happier. Can someone please explain to me why this Publix is necessary? There are two other Publix within a 3 block radius. Did we really need the third? Anyway, this store is nice. This store is much prettier than the store on Coral Way. My main complaint is the aisles are so freaking long. All I want is a bottle of mustard, but I have to walk a half mile to get it. The staff is extremely friendly. They also have publix brand deli meats, unlike its Coral Way counterpart. These deli meats are tastier and less expensive than their Boar's Head counterparts. This is the best Publix within a 20 mile radius (east of 95) in Miami. Living anywhere near downtown, you'll quickly realize that every other grocery store in the area just doesn't cut it. Parking is ample (garage parking, Publix validates your ticket for 2 free hours). This store is shiny and immaculate! They are always well stocked and the lines are never long (at least not in the 20+ times I've gone). This is a lifesaver! We go to the gym, then walk downstairs and get our food for same day's dinner. I'll admit that Publix is not the cheapest supermarket in the country, but in this area, our choices are limited. This is my favorite Publix. I have been too many Publix's in my lifetime and this one is definitely my pick. I was surprised to see such low ratings, from other yelpers. I have been coming to this Publix since it opened up a few years back. My only complaint was the parking, until the 2 new lots; there was never any parking AT ALL. But once they added the covered parking everything was perfect. Before I would always go to the Publix in Brickell but the lines were always out the door and the staff wasn't very nice. This Publix is totally opposite; I go at all times of the day and have never waited more than 2 minutes. Usually there is only about one person in front of me. The staff is always available and helpful if I need to find something and the cashiers are really nice. The area where this Publix is at is prominently Hispanic and we can be very friendly, too friendly lol. Everytime I go alone I get asked "Y tu novio" (Where is your boyfriend?) or "Y tu hermanito" (Where is your little brother). I'm used to it so it doesn't bother me. I kind of like it which is why I'll continue to shop there. read more

I was wondering why they would put a Publix so close to so many other ones. But this is a modern look of a supermarket in a major city. The 2 hour free parking garage is very nice, and the elevator lowering directly into the market is very convenient. One thing I noticed is in the frozen food section there were motion detectors that kept the lights off if no one is around, very innovative. I only went once to pick up some food but I never had any problem finding anything. This is what every Publix from now on should feel like. read more

We are visiting from Los Angeles and wanted to try the famous chicken tender sandwich. Our sandwich maker was an older over weight Hispanic lady Dora or Doree in the DELI and she was extremely rude. I very earnestly tried to ask her to make us two different sandwiches and she ended up throwing away FOUR different different breads because she could not understand what we wanted and she began to complain about my Spanish and once I apologized about not knowing Spanish well, she shamed me by saying her daughter knew Spanish English and French and we should the same. At this point the other young African American lady tried to tell her to stop berating us. I felt very embarrassed as there was a lot of other people in line behind us. We were just hungry travelers coming straight from the airport to your establishment to get some fuel and go on our way, but I shall not return to this store due to my awful experience being bullied by this employee. read more

Publix claims to have the same prices throughout their chain, which may be true. I've found shopping here, though, that compared to many other urban centers (Los Angeles, DC, and New York spring to mind), Publix is extremely expensive. Their fresh produce is also deplorable. While in many other parts of the country it's easy to find things like white corn this time of year, it has proven impossible to find fresh white corn in Publix. I would NEVER buy toiletries, shampoo, etc., at this store. Any staples should be bought somewhere else, even if it means driving. Everything is $1-$5 overpriced and that adds up quick! Their butcher does sell very good cuts of meat, but that too is vastly overpriced. They charge $19-$20/lb for filet mignon when the same comparable cut is being sold at other grocers for $15-$17/lb. If you have a large car, the parking is a nightmare because the driveway is BARELY wide enough to swing into without hitting the poles. I was also told that the garage is being turned into apartments soon and then there will not be any garage parking available at all. read more

Been coming here for 8 years. New manager harasses customers - Paige. She's rude, unprofessional, and condescending. When you tell her she's rude- she's argues and laughs at you behind your back, because she's a coward. Almost a decade of shopping at Publix. AVOID. Already they are incredibly expensive and have rotten produce. Now, they add harassment to their attributes. It's time for positive, quality, customer-oriented grocery. This isn't it. When you make people feel unwanted and uncomfortable- they won't feel comfortable spending money there. This woman, Paige, ensures your visit is personal, negative, and literally chases you down. When you walk away (being thrown out for a dangerous toy dog), she snickers and exhales loudly like a petulant child. If you complain about her- she argues that she's not rude. Her presence at this store is marked and has destroyed the experience. I've attached a photo of the wall of managers. Am I angry? Yeah, that's what happens when staff are disrespectful and harassing. This is my favorite publix in the brickell area. The produce is always fresh and everything is always very organized.

As a Californian it was nice to find a place similar to the Safeways at home. The store was easy to maneuver around and they had my ginormous avocados I was in search for! =P My only gripe would be having to weave through the construction going on to get here, but hopefully that will be over and done with soon. read more

I find it fascinating that many other people suspect the Publix at Mary Brickell of mixing old meat with new meat, or just selling old products all together. I would agree 100%! I have bought at least 2 packages of meat that were brown on the inside and bright red on the outside, only to be told that it is a normal oxydization process. So sorry, but that logic is directly contradicted by the fact that the parts directly exposed to oxygen..the outside..is red, while the part that is not..the inside..is brown/gray. It's disgusting. I have had so many things go bad within a day of purchase. I will never buy anything made in that location ever again. The only good news is that I complained to the corporate Facebook page and they offered to send me a gift card to reimburse me for my most recent gray ground beef. Fix this location please, the manager should thank god they haven't been sued yet for food poisoning. 7/25/2018: after being reassured by the store manager via email that they would no longer leave large stock equipment around, I went to go do my groceries and what did I find? SURPRISE! Huge shelves of unattended stock. Literally blocking the aisles all over the place. You cannot move in this place without getting into some kind of confrontation with another customer because this place is full of random shelves and stock strewn all over the place. This is my "stop on the way home and pick up a few things" Publix. They have a covered garage, which is great for rainy days, and the interior of the Publix is roomy, not cramped, like another nearby Publix store. I usually run into someone I know at this Publix. The only drawback I find is that there are never enough checkout lanes open -- although today, I found one that was open with no line and no waiting. read more

Fabulous new upscale Publix. If you've been to the other 2 close by than you know exactly why we needed a new one. This is one is very classy, friendly and has a large selection of hard to find products. Its not the closest to my house but its the only one I will set foot in. Its worth the trip, be it only 10 min away. Parking is free for 2 hours so easy enough. read more

It may seem strange to make it a point to stop at a grocery store bakery while on vacation, but if you grew up in Florida, you know that Publix isn't just any grocery store. The bakery and sub counter are phenomenal - just as good as any stand-alone shop. As kids, we got free cookies on every visit and birthdays were made that much better because we got our cakes from there. Publix's cookies are still as soft-baked and delicious as ever. We had the Calypso, which has chopped nuts and coconut flakes, and an M&M cookie. Both were about the size of our faces, and the M&M one was loaded with so much candy, it was like a bag of M&Ms loosely held together with dough. I also loved their guava pastries - the gorgeous red filling is practically spilling out and the pastry is perfectly flaky. read more

I really like this Publix. Even though it is small in terms of space, it does have a fairly decent selection. What does that mean? It means that if you have been to any of the other Publix stores in the region then you know what this one is like. What brings this Publix down a notch for me, though, is the parking. The store is on the first floor with the parking on the second and third floors. If you drive any vehicle over a subcompact, then you WILL be going slowly through the maze that funnels you through the third floor before you can exit. On a plus side, if your trip to Publix doesn't last too long -- and you remember to validate at checkout -- parking is free in an area where it can be fairly pricey. read more

I frequent this Publix often for work since we order a lot of our sandwich and cheese platters here for events. I've placed dozens upon dozens of orders here and everything we've received is high-quality and prepared on time. Only on one occasion was a large order we asked for misplaced, and the Deli attendants were quick to scramble up a platter in a matter of 10 minutes so I could run it over to an upcoming scheduled event. This particular location has an excellent and bright veggie section and many unique ethnic and hard to find items that you would not be able to find at a smaller Publix. When I moved to downtown I made several trips to different Publix's until I found "MY PUBLIX." Went to the Publix on Lincoln Road, on 5th Street and Alton, Mary Brickell, Coral way, and finally this one. I love this Publix. My phone gets reception, I don't need to go up a parking ramp to park, but I still get covered parking near the elevator, and a great beer selection (The BF loves when I surprise him with new craft beers). It is smaller, but as someone who loathes grocery shopping, it's perfect because it gets me In and OUT!!! read more

It is convenient if you live nearby and don't need to park your car. If you do then go to the one on 13th street. Also, as an FYI, this Publiz doesn't have a great selection of products especially meats. That said, it is clean, cashiers are nice which is pretty much all I could ask for. read more
