Easy access to the unit and I like that I can come just about anytime to bring things in before and after hours. Parking lot area can get really congested at times, but nonetheless the ease of borrowing their dollies is good and they have enough to go around.

Temperatures in the "climate controlled" units are not kept at proper levels!…read more We have three storage units at the Sunnygate location and pay approximately $450 a month for climate controlled storage that is hot, humid and miserable! It is July in MANASSAS VA. We have had recent temperatures hovering around 100°. The temperature inside our climate controlled storage units should be bearable. However, the multiple containers of Damp-rid we have in each of our units continue to be FILLED with water from the extreme humidity inside the "climate controlled" storage units. We were inside the building for less than 10 minutes last evening sweating profusely from the miserable temperatures, while adding replacement damp rid products to our units! This is totally unacceptable and a repetitive issue with this location. This happened last year, and was reported to management without a resolution. We are adding Damp-rid every 15 to 30 days while paying... $5,400 a year for "three" climate controlled units at this location! Where is the climate control? We have also reached out to Customer Service and are revisiting our choice of companies to use for our storage needs. Why is this a recurring problem at this location? We have not been notified that there is a mechanical issue that occurs each year. We have not been financially compensated for the lack of temperature regulation for which we are paying. CubeSmart why are you not providing what customers are purchasing?

Most of my stuff is…read morefilthy and will need to be trashed, but they won't let me throw stuff away here so I have to pay movers to haul my rat covered items to a moving truck to find a dump. They did come disposed of a rat carcass and told me someone probably had food in their unit nearby and "it happens". Basically I paid to haul stuff here, store it, and am paying to haul it away to the dump. Super gross and even toxic with this much rat urine and feces.

The building was clean, the staff was very friendly. I only needed the storage unit for a short period of time. When I went to clear out my unit, my belongings smelled of some kind of pesticide. I had to throw away a lot of my things. The manager assured me that they did not spray the units with pesticides but she offered to give me the forms to make a claim. For this primary reason, I would not rent from them again.

During the sales process, I worked with Brian, the sales associate, and agreed to the asking price with the understanding that the boat would include a complete set of marine mats for both the front and rear areas. We were also told that the boat would be ready within two weeks. However, on the day we arrived to complete payment and pick up the boat, we were informed that there was a delay with the marine mats and that they would be installed later. About a week afterward, the sales manager contacted us and unexpectedly requested an additional $400 if we wanted the complete set of mats that had already been included in our original agreement. To Brian's credit, he stepped in, apologized for the situation, and assured us that the mats would be ordered as originally promised. Unfortunately, when we followed up more than a week later, we learned that the mats had still not been ordered due to a miscommunication between Brian and management. Once again, we were told they would be ordered. My frustration is not with Brian, who has tried to help and make things right, but FAILED to follow through on their commitments from management and finance department. When making a purchase of this size, customers should be able to trust that agreed-upon items will be delivered without having to repeatedly follow up or renegotiate terms after the sale. I hope Holly Acres improves its customer service and communication practices so future customers do not experience the same issues.

I am clearing out my unit TODAY and will never do business here again. I actually referred my sister and a family friend here when I first became a customer and I will be making sure they both clear out their units as well. When I entered into the contract both my husband at the time and I were both present and were told the unit was in our names. Fast forward 2 years and I'm divorced my ex husband moves out of state and they refuse to give me access to a unit that I have made payments on for the past 2 years because my ex was the only one listed on the account! I came into the office clearly stated that they can see I'm the one making payments with my card, my account, I even offered up divorce papers and still nothing. I had to continue paying rent on the unit for 2 more months until my ex could come in person to handle the situation. Then he gives me the keys and I move most of my belongings out at the beginning of the month. I head to the storefront today to clear out the remaining items and can't locate my keys. So here I am, the same person they have seen come in 3 times now about this same unit. Who had keys and access no less than 2-3 weeks ago and I ask if they can cut the lock because I can't locate the keys and this is the last day I will be using the unit. Do you think they accommodated? No they state once again I can't have access. Not even a call or email from the "account" holder would suffice. Now if he can't get here and I can't get my items out by 6 pm guess who gets billed for another month of rent? Exactly. Did I mention their horrible late fees?? A few months ago I called and asked for the balance on the account- I made a payment and then found out the woman I spoke to who told me that I'd be paid through the end of the month was wrong so for a full month I didn't pay the $80 rent because I thought I was current and was charged over $300 in late fees! This has been worst experience I've ever had with any company in my entire life. I will not pay this place another cent after today and I will post this review to every platform they have to hopefully prevent anyone else from being duped by these fools. I can't wait to be completely done with this place.
