I want to give this place and Public Storage a -0000 rating. No manager on site...the key pad didnt work with the access code....very unclean site(ie feces in front of the door). I waited and over an hour to get help...no manager even now. Then I had a hard time to cancel the unit since I couldnt get access I decided to go somewhere else...came at 6 AM. I had a unit here for over 8 years. I never complained once about the rent going up or the rats rummaging through my stuff. I finally decided to go through my grandmas stuff and move out. I called ahead of time to see what the move out process was. Just let them know when I move out. So I move out on the 3rd of the month. I get an email showing I have a zero balance. I'm assuming I should be getting a refund for the rest of the month. Nope. Paid for a full months rent of $393 for a space I only used 3 days. I've had a storage unit here for 10 years this time around. I have had a unit here 3 separate times and have always had a pleasant experience. The place is well lit, staff is helpful and friendly and I feel safe and secure to store my things there. Carmen was especially kind and always very helpful. read more

I purchased a unit from their website at $130 a month. At the end of the transaction, after I already paid with my card online a notification came up on my screen saying," Please go to the store & see the site manager to complete this transaction". Long story short, the site manager charged me $260 a month. Now it's been 6 months and I've paid 2 times the amount I should of been paying. When I tried to contact the regional I got NOTHING. Then I call customer service and they say that he tried to call me but I have 0 missed calls. 100% bad business and I will be reporting to the better business bureau. On top of all that, I had an $800 dolly that I left outside my unit until I could get a truck to pick it up because I only have a small Sedan. SURE enough that came up missing. You would think that considering they have staff on-site 90% of the time someone could of put it in a lost and found or a closet but story of my life gone. Very frustrating, i feel like ive been scammed out of $100s of dollars. I thought it was 2024 and we didnt allow companies to do business like that but what do i know?​ read more

The manager is completely absentee. I have been trying to rent a unit from them for three days and all they have done is give me the runaround. They've taken my money very fast, of course and done nothing to help me I did contact list which apparently they wanna see my identification, but they've already taken my money giving me a gate code. I got there and I couldn't get in. I have five movers with me and she's not gonna be in until 2 o'clock in the afternoon on a Monday I'm supposed to pay these movers by the hour day for the truck pay for a hotel overnight and then wait until two in the afternoon to move my stuff and I am furious. I want them to cancel my account and I never ever will go to a Public Storage again worst company don't bother horrible management, terrible policies and it's not contactless so that's a bunch bologna!!!! read more

I stuck my stuff in this facility's locker, signed some paperwork and thought, "wow, that was easy." I was temporarily moving and needed a place to stash my things for about a year. Well the girl signed me up, said "sign here, here, and here, and initial here, here, and here." She did not make it clear to me that although the hours are posted as 6am to 9pm, if you are still on the premises after that time, YOU'LL BE LOCKED IN!!!! I wen back a week ago to retrieve some belongings and that is precisely what happened to my sister and I. Once we were in, the rolling door thingie on the locker was busted so we struggled with that for awhile. By the time I was ready to leave, it was about 9:10 pm. I didn't think anything about it because they have a record of everyone who's entered the gate and it should let me out. Wrong! We tried the 1-800 number posted and the operator actually told us to call 911!!! Hello, what the eff are they gonna do? Apparently the manager lives upstairs above the office (I saw the light on), so I gave the horn a little honk to let her know we needed out. She closed the goddamn window blinds on us as if to say, "I don't care that you're trapped, why don't you just sleep here?" I walked over to the window and shouted up like effing Romeo to Juliet and told her it was an emergency. I mean we were really freaking out, almost in tears at the thought of being stuck in this nasty place. She said (no joke), "well, you needed to get out by 9. But I GUESS I can let you out this time." !!!! WTF !!! After all that I wanted to spit nails, and when I got home, found a notice that my rent was going up like 10 bucks a month. I sure hope the extra cash is going toward customer service classes! Do not rent from these people.... don't know about the company as a whole, but this one SUCKS! I'm getting my stuff out ASAP. read more

Yes, the facility is across from a sewage treatment plant but the odor is tolerable and not the worst I've ever smelled. The biggest drawback to the location is it is dusty and everything inside gets coated with a fine layer of dust. So cover your belongings if you want them to stay clean! But more than that...I've been using the facility for about 3 years and just got another rent increase for a 10x20, from $190 to $221. I don't see what I get more of that merits a 15% increase. When I moved in the rent for $175. So $50 more over 3 years? The response is it allows Public Storage to continue to provide exceptional service. But they are not doing anything now that they weren't then. Long story short, I'm moving out as it is no longer affordable. read more

Really easy and convenient process of getting a storage. I booked mine online. Their price was cheaper than the other storages around the area. Access is really easy and convenient through the app. Lock was already inside thr unit when I got there. Perfect contactless and convenient. So it's really hot here in Tracy. Yesterday my siblings And I downloaded a 20ft truck and forgot to bring water . The nice lady at the office gave us some cold water for free of hers. They were nice and cold, totally saved our butts! This is perhaps the easiest storage experience I've ever had; the check in was easy, we were able to hold out unit until we arrived in town, Carmen was very friendly, and the unit was as promised and in near pristine condition. I do wish there was a way to add an additional layer of security to the doors like a functioning shroud latch, but aside from that it seems a very nice location with reasonable pricing. read more

Please do NOT store your items there. We found numerous mouse decriment in our boxes and had a mattress destroyed due to a dead RAT that was found decaying underneath it when we moved out...we also experienced an ant infestation. Although the staff (Lucy) was nice enough, the establishment claims to not have any pest problems and has not agreed to pay for our mattress. I have stored items at the 11th street (near Perkos) location and it was a much better experience. read more

Not impressed. Stored my items here for 2 months while in between places. Never had a problem with the actual unit, but it seems every time I went to the office it was closed. It didn't matter what time of day it was, once it was 11am the next was 3pm. It was very frustrating trying to get things done when they were never there. And no, they weren't showing other units as the my unit was in the back and I looked for them. Additionally, I didn't appreciate all the 'hidden' requirements. They sell you the idea online that the unit is one price and then once you get there the additional fees are added on, including required insurance, only can use the lock they sell you and on and on. It was really annoying. So glad to be done with this place. read more

Have been storing a large trailer here for a couple of years and have not had any problems at all. Very happy with the customer service provided by Carmen and Julie. They are really good about keeping an eye on my trailer for me and letting me know if anything looks amiss. Would use this facility again without hesitation. read more

Do not go with this place, came back after a year of storing and there were rat feces everywhere!!!! This place is a dump, you are better off going some place else. All of my stuff is ruined, and the lady in the office tells me she can't do anything and tells me to call her district manager. I just hope that I will get reimbursed. read more

This place has absolutely the worst customer service. We reserved a large unit weeks in advance and received a confirmation email from the company with a confirmation number. We showed up the day of our move in date with a moving truck full of our household items that we needed to be stored just for a month until our new home was ready. When we showed up the manager told us that they did not have a unit available for us in the size that we had reserved. He said that they could give us a smaller one for the price that we were expecting to pay for the larger one. We questioned why a large one was not available for us as we had reserved it well in advance and had a confirmation email. He said that the company left us a voicemail that we had to respond to to keep our reservation. We did indeed have a voicemail from the company, but all that was said in the voicemail was "we look forward to seeing you on your move in date and we are happy you chose our location". Nothing was said in the voicemail that we had to call back to keep our reservation. After all was said and done we contacted the regional manager of public storage and absolutely nothing was done to resolve the problem. I am completely disappointed with this company and their horrible customer service. read more

Robbed twice in two days at 300 Larch Rd Self Storage in Tracy Ca The first robbery they took the siding screws off the outer wall and climbed in through a vacant unit that was not locked and entered a secured hallway. Used something to pull the locking latch that holds the door closed and broke in. They went through everything took around $3000.00 worth of my personal items.On this day the manager pounded back the lock and tried to fix the latch as best she could. Said she had no units my size to move me into but would check with the regional manager for two units for us. Well as the day went on made police report and time to move was running out we decided to wire two of the three doors on our unit shut so they would no longer be able to open. Well they came back to get more couldn't open the smaller doors so the rammed the large outer door and took it off its track. No efforts were made to help get the door fixed. So we rented trucks and move our things in for safe keeping.This time they took my two dirt bikes and a dryer and then some. I haven't estimated second day losses yet . To take these items they would have had to enter through the main gate which requires a code to get in and out. Sad thing most of the cameras don't work. To get you in they tell you they have all kinds of security features but once you are robbed suddenly their cameras are black and white grainy and only the one at the gate works! What a hoot! I would not recommend any Self Storage please beware! Oh and don't let me forget they make you carry their insurance on your unit and from what they told me in the office if I don't have receipts they won't pay me anything. Do not take your things to this public storage!!!! I had my stuff in there for about 4 months then the next day after I tell the girls up front I was leaving at the end of the month my tv was stolen. With no break in someone there had a master key even though they say they don't and unlocked it and took my tv. We are honest people and are tv is gone what other explanation could there be bedside them unlocking it and taking my tv. Then on top of that the insurance won't even cover it because there was no sign of a break in. So make sure you read all the fine print cause they sure don't tell you these things what's the point of insurance if it doesn't cover your stuff being stolen.
