He showed us a few spaces and let us know that we could also book a space online to save a few bucks on the first 3 months. The price was right for the amount of space we needed. i've had my storage here going on three years probably my dad passed away and I had to have some where to put his stuff and I still have stuff in here .Lauren has been fantastic. She's been there for me every step of the way. Never had any problems she's always polite. The place is clean. ****** Questionable Business Practices ****** This company lacks MORALS and business ETHICS. I would NOT suggest this company to my worst enemy let alone family, close friends or total strangers. If I had an option to give this company zero or negative stars, I most certainly would. Anyone who says, "friendly staff" has never encountered Diane. Initially, I tried to give Diane the benefit of the doubt for her poor attitude. Maybe, she was having a bad day, tired or ill. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion she was simply a negative individual who is catty, sarcastic, condescending and patronizing to a prospective customer. My goodness, how would this horrible woman treat me after she got my money? I am grateful, I dodged a serious bullet with this company. The short period of time I was in the facility, Diane snapped at her co-worker twice. At first, I didn't think much about it, until she snapped at her a third time. I became very uncomfortable for the co-worker and myself. The co-worker apologized to Diane for a third time with a hurt look on her face. Diane did not apologize to her coworker for her inappropriate behavior. Instead, she made an excuse for her unprofessional behavior (in front of a prospective customer). This was the first questionable sign I would leave and find an ethical company to do business with. My husband visited the facility on my request earlier in the day. I actually asked him to go to the storage facility on North Main near the freeway. Regardless of going to the wrong place, their facility sounded adequate for my needs. We drove back after work to solidify the deal. I needed a storage unit for 3 months, which I planned on paying in full. Diane didn't greet us when we walked in, show us her facility or minimally the storage unit. (2nd questionable sign) She handed me a paper to fill out which requested my social security number. I questioned why she needed a social security number. She stated, "The system requests the SS# and she can't move past the field without the number. This statement turned out to be a falsehood (unethical) 3rd questionable sign. I explained, I am not asking for a loan or line of credit. I am paying in full for the time I need the storage. Diane said, "We have a secure and safe system." I rebutted, "I am sure Home Depot, Target and Anthem Blue Cross all believed they had a safe system, but we all know how that turned out." I told Diane I would give her any information she wanted, except my social security number. She asked for the last 4 digits of my SS# and I agreed to those terms. Unfortunately, Diane couldn't take me agreeing to the last 4 digits as a win for her. She had an overwhelming urge to be spiteful and say, "You know this does not make me happy." (4th questionable sign) Even though, Diane was not "happy" I was content I did not give my SS# to a stranger that had no legitimate reason for asking for such a sensitive piece of information. I decided to continue the transaction. In the meantime, she took my 3-month payment for the storage area then handed me the rules. I read them over aloud so my husband could hear. I had circled one rule that was incomplete, I believe rule 2 or 3. It referred to being in the facility past closing and a charge of $25.00. However, the section did not specify the hours. I circled the area to remind myself to ask about the hours. I didn't realize Diane was annoyed with my action until shortly later. She gave me yet another paper to sign, which I read again aloud for the benefit of my husband. This particular paper stated, I was paying for insurance however, the company was not responsible for my property. I questioned what the insurance was for exactly. Instead of answering my question directly. She reprimanded me to underlining the clause. She went on to explain the definition of the word "insurance" and proceeded to give me examples of insurance (5th questionable sign). Innocent me, making excuses for this woman in my own mind still went on to the contract. She put the contract in front of me and said, "initial here." She turned 3 or 4 pages and said, "sign here." I picked up the contract and said, "you do understand, I will read the contract." Diane said, "read it to yourself quietly and DO NOT write on MY contract." (6th and last questionable sign.) Scrolled on the office wall states, "If You Can't Say Something Nice, Be Quiet." I found that simply ironic. If you managed to read to the bottom of my review... there is a storage facility in VIEW of North Main Storage facility (look North). Very rude and disrespectful manager. I came to visit mother from Las Vegas, she asked me to organize her storage stuff (she has medical issues). After about 2 hours, I have to sit in my car to cool off (very hot). The very rude,disrespectful, and unprofessional Older Lady knocked on my window and said I had to leave, I've been here too long!!!! I couldn't believe it, I was shocked. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!! It doesn't matter that it's a locked facility with cameras. That will help with nothing if your stuff gets stolen. Trust me I would know!! I had a trailer get stolen with ALL of my belongings and do you think I have heard anything from management? Nope! We have used North Main Storage several times for moves and just storing things, we have always come back because its clean and never have had a problem with theft or staff. RENTERS BEWARE, DO NOT RENT HERE!!! Rude staff members, prices always rising, and they close their doors 30 minutes before closing. The doors to get into the indoor units are supposed to be open until 7pm. They close early all the time. I show up at 6:25pm - 6:30pm and the doors are locked. I even call them to let them know I'm on my way, please don't lock up early and they don't care. I pay $300 a month for my unit and I can't access my property because they close early. When I signed a contract to rent here the hours clearly state that they're open until 7pm. I drive here from a different city and have to turn around with carloads of stuff all the time. The staff "Diana and Jennifer" are incredibly USELESS and RUDE. One time I pulled up and Diana looked at me and said "not you again". And this is because I expressed to them that they are contractually obliged to keep their doors open during the agreed hours. I've tried to contact the owners several times and I get a call back from a staff member. I DO NOT recommend this storage to anyone. I don't ever leave reviews, but I can't consciously not warn people about their unethical behavior. read more

My lock was broken and they said they don't have cameras in the hallways. I needed bolt cutters to cut the lock and put a new one but they said I couldn't bring my own and would have to charge me 25 bucks for them to cut it. We finally got all our stuff out and TONS of things are missing. All my dishes are gone, shelves, my kids wii and all the games that go with it, and so much more. Brand new garden supplies are gone. I don't understand why people give this place a hard time. Personally, I like it. It's clean, has large streets, and big facilities. They have standard security (cameras, access gate with code, and someone on site during business hours) just like everyone else in town. Before storing my belongings here, I called four local competitors and can tell you this was the best option as far as price, security, ease of access, and cleanliness. The staff is friendly and I have had zero issues since I began using the storage unit (March 2015). Also, they have a truck you can rent at a low cost to help with moving which was useful during my move. I plan on staying here until my new home is built (March 2016) and would recommend to anyone. If I do come across any trouble I'll be sure to update but I doubt I will. Do your homework and call around town. Don't just take mine or someone else's word for it. read more

I'd give these crooks no stars if that was an option! I rented a unit here a couple of years back when my son's Mom & I split up and I had to downsize. I fell behind on a couple of payments and when I called on the 6th of that month to pay the outstanding balance, the employee told me there was no sale date on my unit and I had plenty of time to come in and pay. I sat on the phone on hold for 22mins while the employee checked his system and paperwork for any info in regards to a sale date on my unit. The North Main employee said there was no sale date on my unit and that I was not in any danger of losing my unit. I had an emergency arise with my dad and had to reschedule my visit to the facillity to make a payment on my unit for the following week. When I called to reschedule, DIANA(employee) answered and instructed me to come in on the 12th of that Nov. to make a payment. When I called on the 12th to pay, all of a sudden my unit was sold to auction on the 8th, a few days prior to me calling the facillity & a couple of days after me calling to check the status of my unit. I also recirved a month and half before all of this a bogus letter saying my unit was sold which was crazy because it was a letter generated on it's own. Not through the storage company.There was a male employee who used to always lurk around the units and he is the one who answered the phone and had me on hold for 22 mins while he allegedly looked for info in regards to my account/unit. I was mislead & robbed by the employees of North Main Storage! I left numerous messages/complaints & NOT ONCE was I ever contacted in regards to my property being stolen from me by crooked employees. All of my belongings and the last memories I had from my son's childhood were in there, along with the last of my Grandmother and Uncle's belongings that I kept after their recent passings at the time. North Main Storage is the shadiest storage facillity I ever heard of. I don't wish bad things upon people, but I hope things come to light around there because the people handling the facillity are really a bunch of CROOKS! Your belongings are safer on the street! I have also had problems with this place in the past. I reported it to the manager at which time I was told that it "wasn't our problem"! I had insurance through the storage facility that I paid in addition to my rent an additional 10.95 per month and was told that they would not submit a claim because it wasn't worth it. I just heard of another tenant that had just 3 days ago had thier unit broken into and had a 160,000.00 worth of goods stolen from that unit. How can this place say they have security cameras that record 24 hours/day have so many reported thefts? After checking with the local police department, there are a number of reported thefts that have occured in a very short period of time. read more

Eek! Me thinks not!!!!!!!! I called to reserve a unit, I was clear that I wanted a 10X10 not climate controlled that was listed online at $71.00 for the first month. After listening to her give me a sales pitch about how to pack my things, they have wide isles, and many other advantages of their facility. She tried to get me to reserve a climate controlled unit. I said no I want the online 10 X 10 unit that your website is offering at $71.00 for the first month and succeeding months at $119.00. She then said she had 3 units and it was $129 per month. Again , I stated I only am interested in the 10X10 for $71.00 for the first month or I am not interested. She hung up on me. read more

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE security & even worse Customer Service. The manager Diana is EXTREMELY rude, unhelpful, deceitful & flat out SHADY!!! People have been known to live on the property in the lockers, while the manager AND higher ups know all about it!! All the while, units are being broken into. The maintenance man had even told my brother that the manager knew more than she would ever admit. I've had two different friends & family members have things stolen from their boat & rv. We were told the security cameras didn't catch anything, really??? So either the security cameras that the company hypes up are worthless, or it's an INSIDE JOB!!!! The manager assured us she would look into it, we called several times to get an update, because our calls were never returned, not once, and each time she acted as if, we, the PAYING CUSTOMER WHO HAD BEEN ROBBED, were a nuisance!!!
