Our unit was broken into from inside of another unit. Items were stolen, other items were broken. I don't get returned calls or help with the losses. People were bbq'ing in their units crossed from ours. Unsafe area and unsafe for your belongings with little to no customer service. read more

This storage has been the worst I have ever experienced. From the beginning to the end. They have flooding issues and rat issues, I gave them a move out date and they keep trying to charge me to this day. When you reach out to customer service, they never have any reps available. If you're looking for a professional storage please do not use public storage unless you want your items stolen from them. I recently had an experience where they were not concerned that my bank was hacked and I was not able to make a payment they put my storage on lean lock probably because they knew the items that were inside the storage and refuse to work with me unfortunately when I spoke with Lisa she had no concern regarding the situation that I had gotten into when I explained to them that I would put them down for a bad Google review they told me to go on ahead Lisa again they're at public storage in Stockton unfortunately I put my daughter's belonging to Republic storage when I should have put him at extra space storage where I utilize a storage at if you're looking for professionalism great customer service as well as accommodations to their clients you guys should go to extra space storage they were so awesome with me explaining my financial difficulties that they were patient! This place has gone down hill! The security is a joke! (See the pic) I have been asking them to fix the fence since it was noted to me by a fellow renter. He had gotten his boat broken into! He has also asked them to fix the fence. To date it is still not fixed! Also I am storing a motorhome and I was "winterizing" it when told the contract says the use of their premises is only for storing so I am not even allowed to clean my RV! Management also has made notes to how long I have been onsite and frowns upon that saying I can't be there that long! I PAY RENT AND I HAVE A RIGHT TO INSPECT MY BELONGINGS AND MOVE THINGS IN AND OUT FROM 6AM to 9PM SEVEN DAYS A WEEK! Especially when security is the way it is! I won't be here much longer. Well, since I have no help to move my daughter's furnishings, etc to another storage unit I am stuck with another raise in rent. I went from $104.00/month to $175.00/month. Also, much of her things were ruined with rat feces and rat urine...and chewed on by these horrid creatures. I feel trapped as an elderly woman living on a fixed income, by having to pay such a high fee. I just had to leave a comment about the customer service at the 3901 West Lane Facility! Gina at this facility is the total embodiment of good customer service! The reason I say this is because I had gotten behind with my monthly rental payment and Gina emailed me about it. A couple of weeks later she called & left a message about me returning a call because she need to discuss my account. I dreaded calling her back because I was going through a lot & didn't want to hear someone laying down the law to me. Gina did not do that. Her voice tone was so pleasant. She was polite & professional. She informed me of a pre-lien on my account & help me understand my timeline in making a payment. She was so helpful. I felt better & hopeful that I could get my account paid. Thanks to Gina's friendly disposition & her ability to treat me as a person & not just an unpaid account holder. Thanks Gina! Do not choose this storage facility. I had the battery stolen from my car which was stored in their outside parking facility. When I called to complain, the regional manager Van Jones said that despite their regular checks and cameras, they cannot guarantee the safety of your belongings. In addition, the regular rent increases are punishing. This year, they are raising the rent on my stored car a whopping 21% and that is after a 17% increase two years ago. The assistant at the site was unsympathetic and in fact rude. Storage sites like this are a scam. They get you in then unreasonably and regularly increase your rent. Go elsewhere. read more

I had issues with rats in my storage. There was rat poop all over my stuff. It was nasty. I let the office girl know and she threw some packets of poison in there. When I moved my stuff out there was more poop and they had ate through the bag. I'm happy that I didn't find a dead rat in my things through. We are in the process of moving our family to Reno, NV. We arrived at this location feeling extremely frustrated that we could not find a unit after being given the run around at other storage companies around town. I can't speak for the next employee, but Joe was very friendly and super helpful with getting us the last available unit. He's getting out of Stockton too(YASS!), so unless you're looking for a unit before Wednesday and want Joe to help you, you're out of luck. This is truly the worst place ever to rent from !! Two storages I rented from them were disgusting with rats !!!! They know that they are infested with RATS and don't even give u any warning or notice about them . All my stuff been chewed up and my children's things as well . I advise the on site manger multiple times and they tell me to bring my own traps ! Why should I provide the traps I don't own the business !! They also say there is a special which is not true u have to buy all the locks and everything very unprofessional and nasty ! Rat shit every where all over my new expensive things ! This place is terrible i would not give them any stars. In 1 1/2 years I've had 2 rent increases with no warning. The manager is extremely rude and snobby. My unit was ruined by RATS !!! THEY POOPED, PEED AND CHEWED THROUGH ALL MY BELONGINGS! When i told the manager she said they're not responsible for that and she couldn't help me and was rude about it. My unit was broken and I could not even get a hold of someone whose "job" it was to fix it for 3 months. I had multiple fees that are not advertised and my unit went up literally $20 a month. Still, I cannot get a hold of anyone other than the manager who continues to tell me that my various issues is not her job to fix, which to be fair, probably isn't her job. I had used this location previously and did not have to jump through the hoops I had to this past time. I emailed the district manager again to try and come up with a way where they could salvage me as a customer but had was given an automated response that said he was going to be out of the office until 3/18. Ironically, I emailed him on 4/12. I am now going to spend extra money in order to move out because it is simply not worth the stress. There are other public storage locations, go to one of those. Perhaps you won't have to deal with incompetence. read more

Sometimes I have to wait for him because he is helping others or is busy in the office. Then he comes, I give him my keys, he opens the door for me, when I'm done he comes back to lock it up for me. read more
