I have come to this facility four times this week and no one is ever in the office. I called for today's office hours and was told that they cannot guarantee there will be an employee present during office hours. On any day. There is a number to call which ultimately leads to a property manager who NEVER calls back. If you beep your lock clipped, they only help you once a month. I had to pay for a locksmith. The employee today showed up 20 minutes late. There were 4 customers total who needed help and two left of frustration. Horrid customer service. Store here at your own risk. read more

Their price and availability fit my needs at the time. Pros: concrete floors and open late. 9pm Cons: so hard to find and employee in the office. 95% of the time the office is empty and locked and no one ever answers the phone number listed on the door They do have carts, but no control over them. Customers leave them all over the facility and take as many as they want, oh wait seems there are only four for the property. The carts are in bad condition and falling apart. Elevators are smaller than most other places and have issues working. "Getting stuck in the elevator and the call bell not working, the control panel in the elevator flopping open exposing everything, maybe that was causing the elevator not to work properly. How many times did it not work???? Oh wait call but didn't work and when it finally responded, no one in the office or answering the number on the front door. And yet they complained that i left after the closing time!!! One more thing. I understand their idea of security, but having to type in your access code at the front gate and then each and every time you need to use the elevator os utterly ridiculous when there is no security at this site!!!! read more

Melissa is by far the best customer service agent I've ever worked with at public storage! I've been a customer for over 10 years and have had some issues here and there due to their online billing. Melissa went out of her way to help me get my problem resolved. She showed the upmost professionalism with her customer service and was patient and kind. My experience with this location was exceptional all because of Hector. Ask for him when you are going to rent there.

When I first got the unit it was on a special for $129 roughly then in January it went up to $147 and now they are telling me that it will be $196 as of March. This is some bullshit. I tried calling and you get no one read more

I used this facility for 3 years to store our apartment while we searched for a home. The beginning cost of the unit was affordable but it continued to go up and up until finally I was unable to keep up. Each time we went to the facility it was clean but there were never any carts to be used. When we first moved into the unit there were carts readily available but the last 25 times (over the last 18 months) there were no carts to help us move our items. read more

I've been using public storage for some time now (the Veterans Road West location), but I just moved my things to the Goethals Road North location and I love it so much more! Things that are better here: 1. the customer service, hands down. 2. The hand trucks here all have a designated location, so you don't need to wander around aimlessly looking for one like at the other location. And all the trucks are new and move smoothly. 3. There are lights inside the units!! So convenient, why don't all public storages have this?! This location is farther away from me, but it's so worth the drive. If you're on Staten Island, even if you're right next to the Rossville location like I am, this facility is so much better!! read more

This is definitely the best storage place I've ever rented from. Rasha was the first person I dealt with when calling and she was very helpful while I tried to make my appointment. My reservation was with Nick and he was a doll. He showed me around, made me feel comfortable to ask as many questions as I had and helped me find a storage unit that was perfect for the boxes I had from when I moved apartments. This storage facility itself is fine. However the price quoted online during reservation was much lower than the actual price I paid. After multiple requests to make an adjustments I was promised that it would be fixed. It never was. So take that online quote with a grain of salt. read more

Their fee's are out rages be carefull they will rip you off every chance they get. I was late with my payments do to a loss of Job and fell behind by two mounth they were going to auction off my things I tried to call the district manager who toke his time calling me back, several days. I made my payment in time before they were to auction my stuff. They had already cut my lock and went in my storage space and put there lock on. When I came in to put something in the storage space, thats when I found out that my lock was cut and their lock was on my storage space. There space is designed for two locks so if you are are late on your payment they can just put their lock on and prevent you from taking your stuff out and they can deactivate your code so you can't get through the gate or up on the elevator. I use to work for a storage company we did not cut peoples lock until the day of auction we would put on the second lock. After paying all the extra fees I had to by another lock from them. late fee 28, 2nd month $28 plus $65 dollar fee for auction that never happens and your lock cut. read more
