When I called to reserve my storage units, with Public Storage Louetta, I was very specific with requesting indoor units as I didn't want my mattresses, sofa and clothing to be subject to humidity. Upon arrival, I discovered that 'indoor' and 'climate controlled' are two very different meanings. Again, this should have been specified to me when I first called to inquire about the indoor units. It was nothing more than a garage that I was given to throw my stuff in with gravel, concrete flooring. It was also a huge hassle as I had to add an additional hour move time with my moving company AND had to shop around last minute to reserve another storage unit for my beds, sofa and clothing boxes. I would not recommend these storage units unless you are only storing appliances or garage items. And I left my review as a one star with the intent of coming back to edit my response, after I get a hold of management on Monday and IF they are willing to refund me the money for their mishap. Mind you, I had to pay for two extra expenses last minute due to lack of communication on their end. read more

MOLD!!! I utilized the online rental process to reserve a 10x30 unit. The next day I received a phone confirming my reservation letting me know that I could complete the paperwork online. I thought that was really convenient considering the pandemic surely offering this service was meant to help insure everyone's safety. Unfortunately, that was not to the case. When I arrived to pickup the keys I first noticed the light in the unit did not work. That wasn't a big deal. But the visible amount of mold all over the ceiling in unit was a huge deal breaker for me. I went to the office and asked if the unit leaked. He said he thought that unit had been fixed. I asked why there was so much mold then. He said they just haven't clean it yet. Then why is the unit considered ready and available to rent? He said he wasn't sure. I asked if there was another unit available. He said no. Then suggested I purchase a container of damp-rid from the merchandise area in the office. I asked if I could transfer to another location but I was told that is not possible. It was mold spores or nothing. I was scammed out of $250. Im not sure if this type of service is common practice for all locations of this company but I will never store my belongings at any public storage location again. And I will never recommend this company. At the very least I suggest you visit the location in person and never use their e-rental service. Very expensive lesson learned on my part hopefully I can save someone else from making my mistake. read more

I've been in my 5x5 unit for about 3 years now. It was $22 a month and now they are asking me to pay $59 a month. The doors to my inside units either don't open or don't close properly. This property is not maintained well at all. read more

Loved the service here! I had moved to Dallas and needed a place to store a few things until I was able to make it back down. I was in a crunch to find a place last minute and as I rushed in almost as they were about to close, Tesha helped me get into a unit with the least amount of stress possible :) Then, as I was clearing my unit, Christine was awesome at helping me get things situated (coming in again right as they were about to close) and made things super easy. I would like to rate Public Storage 1 star and the property managers 5 stars. Christine helped me out today and Tesha helped me out with my first unit. They are both great ladies, very helpful and professional. Public Storage as an entity is a scum bag! The first month for $1 is only if you have never had a unit with them before and they will not allow anyone else in your family to get that deal if you have had a unit with them either. They force you to buy insurance monthly and you have to use the locks that they sell on the premises. None of this is disclosed to you when you reserve your unit online. BEWARE OF FEES!!! After my move is over next month I will be leaving PS behind. If I am ever in need of a storage facility again I will be looking elsewhere probably supporting small business. read more

Beware of this place. They are renting to a person who is looking for confrontation by parking in the middle of the driveway and then this person dares you to say something about them. This person then tried to file a lawsuit against me for supposedly injuring them. Another beef I have is that they've cut my locks twice in the past year. They say they didn't do it but I overheard their clerk having a conversation with the manager about a district manager who came by and cut several locks. Look elsewhere read more

Our unit has been broken into on three separate occasions during 2015. The office staff cannot do anything, and when speaking with the manager and then district manager, they will do nothing to compensate for the continual break-ins. Security at this facility is obsolete... the lights (that they say are their security) do not even work at night, yet the continue to up the price on units. From the last break-in, we have not been able to access our unit because the locking mechanism (hasp) is broken and will not open for the last three months! ,,, but of course we have to still pay the rent. read more
