I want to give a huge thank-you to ALL the staff here. They are amazing, always smiling, and so professional--they've handled a very stressful situation with total grace. A broken elevator. The elevator was damaged because another customer overloaded it. Not Public Storage's fault. However, the ongoing impact has created safety, security, and accessibility concerns. I actually strained my back and had a scary moment where my foot got caught in the stairwell and I tripped--OUCH. The box I dropped had nothing that broke. However, because there are no cameras in the stairs, I worry that if someone fell, no one would know. Additionally, because of the 24/7 access, tenants leaving after hours often prop the doors open for convenience, which leaves the building vulnerable to unauthorized people. I appreciate the reduced rate, but I strongly urge corporate to support this great local team by providing temporary security and on-site movers (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) until the elevator is fixed. This team is 5-star, but they need more corporate support! read more

Avoid Public Storage if you can. My experience has been nothing but frustrating. When I first signed up and paid for a unit, no one was even present at the office during business hours to onboard me. The keypads at the facility are frequently broken, Bluetooth access rarely works, and the front gate has been disabled for weeks--everyone is forced to use the exit gate for both entering and leaving. I also received a rude phone call from an employee accusing me of staying past access hours, even though their logging system was clearly malfunctioning. I've tried calling the office several times during posted business hours--no answer. I've left voicemails with my number, but nobody ever calls back. On top of that, the pricing is deceptive. My unit was advertised at $49, but after all the hidden fees, I ended up paying over $80. Then, without warning, my rate was raised again to $97.82 just a few months later. I'll be filing formal complaints and reaching out to corporate and the BBB. I sincerely hope Public Storage addresses these issues, but based on what I've seen, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Public Storage is a nationally recognized brand. This is one of my favorite locations I've ever used It is a very secure climate controlled building with massive loading bay. The facility was nice but after the first month they started going up on rent. Finally when it was time to move out before I made my payment I asked what my amount would be since I would only be there for a week. The associate told me that I still had to pay the full month and I would get prorated the amount once I left and the money would be reimbursed to me. Once I moved out I waited 2 weeks and called back to which I was informed that even though I was told incorrect information, they do not reimburse. This just sounds like fraudulent business and won't ever rent with public storage again. read more

I rented a unit for 2 months and felt unwelcome and was harassed. Several customers shared their bad experiences. I put in 3 weeks notice of my intent to vacate and was assured there would be no additional fees. Come to find out I moved out 1 day into the new billing cycle and was charged the full months rent with no ability for a refund or pro-rate option. The card access on the drive though garage has been broken for months. The bathroom has been locked and unavailable for months, as well. Yesterday there was a water leak from the roof. Super clean facility, they have carts you can borrow (no need to leave a deposit or collateral), plenty of parking. AVOID. I never wanted to rent from Public Storage in the first place, but I got this unit when it was EasyStorage. About 6 months later they sold and it became Public. Then the code box and door was broken and not replaced for, I shit you not, 8 MONTHS! I finally put in a move out notice and on my way back from the store and thought I'd pop it so I didn't have to make an extra trip later. One truck is there and NO DOLLIES on my unit side. There's one dolly on the other side, but your code doesn't work for that side. Screw it, I'll come back. An hour later that same truck is there and some retard in a uhaul drove in the opposite way and is now completely blocking the exit. The fucking bitch-dyke manager is there and tells me I have to come around the other side. I've got 3 fucking boxes, it's 103 degrees outside and I don't want to have to come back again!! I'm emailing corporate to let tell them I'm never renting from them again. What a joke. read more

Have been renting a unit here for several years. The price is reasonable, however, if you want access to your unit, its not good. The door into the drive through has been broken for months. This leads to a very unsafe and unsecure situation. Hard to believe they can't get it fixed in 4+ months. Its often difficult to find a cart to move your stuff. I am guessing there are at most 4 of them. Originally this place was really good but with the change a year or so ago, its really gone down hill. Again decent price, bad access and service. Looking to move facilities in the next couple of months. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. Unfortunately the property manager is extremely rude and inconsiderate. She locked our unit with absolutely no explanation keep in mind the bill was paid so she had no reason to lock it besides the fact she never liked us from the beginning. We own two businesses and keep our inventory in the unit, we couldn't work for weeks as it was IMPOSSIBLE to contact her or the corporate offices. Nobody is ever on the property. I would highly recommend saving yourself a headache and going to another storage company. I recently moved to Phoenix AZ from Colorado, bringing with me every possession I own in this world. I searched 5 different storage facilities and chose a public storage facility on the 101 and cave creek. The reason I chose this location was 1: you need a code to get into the facility 2: only able to enter during daylight hours 3: full video surveillance system. On June 20th I loaded all my possessions into this facility including my precious vinyl record collection that I have been collecting for 35 years. This record collection meant more to me than anything on this planet. On July 4th I went to my unit and discovered it had been broken into and all my possessions had been stolen. My world came crashing down and I immediately broke down into tears. I went to the office manager and explained to Debbie what had taken place, she simply stated to call the police. I filed a police report and stated what had happened to the officer and the facility manager at that point the officer told the manager he needed the video footage which the manager said "we don't have a mouse for the computer, but as soon as they had one she would submit it to the police." I called the manager every single day for 2 weeks to see if the tape had been submitted to the police with not even one response. I have called corporate, customer service and the original facility to find out the status of my case and to find out if the video has been sent with no response once again. I finally was assigned a detective to my case, he explained he has asked for the video footage several times with no response as well. My life has been horrible since this event filled with depression, heartbreak and suicidal tendencies. Once again I have to reiterate THIS COLLECTION IS ALL I CARED ABOUT AND MEANT EVERYTHING TO ME!!! This seems to me that this was an inside job and they are hiding the video footage! How could someone enter the facility, steal 7 milk crates of records in broad daylight and the facility saw nothing? Absolutely ridiculous! I constantly call corporate, customer service and the facility every day with not even so much as a return message. The "insurance " company has refused to return my phone calls as well, even though I submitted my claim over 45 days ago. How can any person or company be so ruthless to not even return a phone call?? Obviously protecting thieves. This is my final outreach before I proceed with making the world hear my story and expose this awful company and they're evil policies. I have suffered unbelievably, my whole life has been changed by this event and I truly want to disappear. This event and the lack of caring by the facility, it's manager, public storage customer service, public storage cooperate and orange door insurance company has shaken my faith in humanity and left me heartbroken. I am truly lost and my soul is bleeding but obviously no one involved cares what so ever. I am scheduled for a local news company to interview me, working with the detective to get warrants to search the video footage and looking for a lawyer to help me with a civil suit against these awful people. I have lived on my own since 15, worked hard, paid for insurance my whole life, and no one has ever giving me anything. I work hard, pay my bills, and struggle everyday with depression and this is how I am rewarded? I just would like some redemption for what has been done to me so I can have some closure and move on. I am not asking for anything more than what is fair.I have done nothing to deserve this treatment and just hope someone out there is going to help me and make this situation ok!
