I rented a 10x12 unit A couple of years ago at a promotional price of $89 per month . After the promotional period it went up to $119 per month. Since that time I have had three rate increases and it now sits at $199 per month , more than double the original price . However if you go on their website they are advertising 10x20 for $172 per month . These people are Crooks and fairly well low class . read more

Always clean. Easy Access. But monthly price goes way up as you continue to honor your agreement. Meanwhile, "new" customers get half price or better rates. I'm out, just looked at current offers for new customers, ridiculously lower. I know they will be experiencing the same rate hikes soon enough. Doesn't make me feel any better. *****Run***** Don't fall for it like the rest of us paying double now. Plenty of other options out there that value long term customer loyalty. read more

I cannot say enough about the excellent customer service I experienced when I found myself needing a large storage unit immediately. The staff reviewed my request and explained all pricing (very reasonable) and reserved a unit for me. Not 15 minutes later, I had to call back to switch my reservation due to an issue with my moving company, and customer service was again so helpful and thorough. I was able to switch my reservation, and then do all the final rental online, saving such a great deal of time! The unit was perfect for me, and for my picky moving company. I had an issue cancelling my insurance coverage in my portal that is automatically added when you rent a unit and Travis walked me through it to resolve. I appreciate the assist, Travis. Cheri was friendly but very professional, explaining all the details and answering all my questions patiently. When the unit I reserved turned out to be too small, she immediately showed me another one close by that would fit all the "treasures" I've accumulated over the years. Looking For the right storage? THIS ONE IS IT! I was doing a very last minute move called several storages which had sky rocket prices and no move in specials or no climate control or not open on memorial day which is when i needed it, and public storage was open offered me a unbeatable move in special, climate control and i switched to a bigger size last minute. I walked into the office 10 min til close and ended up 10 min later having viewed the storage and signed the contract. It was fast easy and proffesional. Thank you BILL! And the storage is well lit, they teach you how to use your lock and there is extra security code to even get into your building. Also all ground floor. Love it thanks !! read more

Very clean facility, able to put unwanted furniture out if needed. Using the elevator system is not user-friendly! If you get in with someone it will not let you stop on your floor only on their floor!? Sometimes the doors will shut while you are trying to get in because the panel box is too far away to get the dolly in after entering code? Great price and friendly service! MJ read more

Cindy was nice but my daughter has an emotional support dog and was not allowed to bring it on property so the locked us out and she was not allowed to go back to the unit so we moved everything out but a month later I got a letter from a collection company saying I owed a month rent but they would be willing to accept a payment of half even though we had moved out before the next months payment was due read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever. From the so called property manager never at location or the occasional employee to having our unit broken in to the second day moving things in. I had no cooperation from public storage. . . Like nothing , I sent messages called thought about sending a fax. The unit is equipped with a non working light , she also refused to fix that. Locks constantly being cut in spite. This manager is bitter Betty with her multicolored "hair don't" telling me she only works here for the reduced rent at one of the properties and the pay being terrible. The only joy she gets is cutting people's locks off when a few days late. My bad chica but I pay the late fees no big deal. I have other life problems than being on time for you that is impossible to reach. I can go on. But is it worth time, I'm gladly loving to Lockaway and the locks are all Bluetooth , installed , functional, open 24 hrs half priced then public clean , and best of all they won't cut my lock and seem to have a autodraft that functions. Don't waste ur time or family items with this company especially the stone oak location. read more

This place has great customer service. I was in the middle of moving here from Florida. Being on a strict time frame, Michelle was kind enough to have all of my paperwork ready as soon as I walked in. We only needed to use our storage for a month and on a weekend day we unloaded our unit. I called the next day becausr I forgot to set up a time to go through closing paperwork and customer service told me they noticed my lock was gone and unit empty, so they closed my account and everything was settled. I chose this Public Storage location after checking reviews online. This was my first time renting, so I didn't know what to expect. As it turns out, everything went very smoothly. The employee who signed me up (I can't recall her name) was professional and pleasant, and not only was there was a great move-in special, but the monthly rate after that beat the competition. I was especially pleased with how easy it was to access my unit--the streets are wide, so there was plenty of room to park my car right at the door. I always felt like my belongings were secure, and the staff members were so helpful. Today I vacated my unit, and I was grateful for Bill's help. I have been with this unit for a while. I had no idea that the ownership changed from life storage to public storage. I went Saturday night to do some cleaning and organizing so I can put more stuff into my unit thinking I had until 10pm. Nope since the ownership changed I no longer have that extra hour I used to have. I left at 947PM, got locked in but the 1800# let me out, but the messages I got afterwards were just a lot. Why could I not have gotten all these "courtesy" messages to let me know ownership has changed. Also, the staff when I have been there during the day has changed as far as attitude. They were not willing to help when people were blocking the gate, not willing to help with anything and that should have been my first clue that ownership changed. I have scheduled my move out date because of this and happy to find another life storage with more flexible hours and not get a million messages about being there after hours but no million messages about change in ownership and their hours. read more
