If I could give this place zero stars I would. They aren't there during open hours posted. They leave the gates open sometimes with nobody attending. The unit access is ridiculous. Only one car can park in each lane so you have to wait if someone is already at their unit. The units are going uphill so bump bump bump all the way up. If you rent a large unit online, it won't have a door big enough to get a couch into it. The E units are one way only so you have to back up uphill bump bump bump and around blind corners. My unit had mouse poison in it today so that tells me they either went into my unit or threw it in through large cracks in the unit. Do they have rodents, I don't know. The place is seriously the worst design ever.... I find it hard to believe any good reviews are real. read more

Needed some storage for transitioning from a large house to smaller. Booked unit online for a good price, set up move-in appointment, and pre-registered my information. I got to the office 15 minutes early and Michael was there to take care of the rest. I made an online reservation for a 10 x 15 within a 10 mile radius of zip code 78217 on 12/8/2014. This office was the lowest price offered. As a native NYer, we go for the deals. I received a call the following morning from Jennifer asking me when I would like to see the facility. I was impressed by this office's prompt reply and I made it a point to come in first thing in the morning. When I arrived, I actually realized I didn't need such a large space, so she recommended a downgrade with a roll-over online discount. That price had a 50% off for the first month. I was very satisfied with the service and with Jennifer. Perhaps because I had the opportunity to see the location prior to moving in, I was able to tell Jennifer what I was moving in and the best way to do so. Great customer service. The property manager Jennifer is great. The only complaint is that they increased their prices without notice.

Terrible experience with these guys. First off, after signing up they literally ask you for a good review, which is silly because they just show you your unit and swipe your card. So keep that in mind when reading these. Second, my unit had a dead roach and oil stains. "Don't worry, it's not fresh." I'm told. And third, there are definitely some extra fees, like the $20 lock you're required to purchase, as another review mentions. Initial experience aside, I have my unit for three months and I get an email saying my monthly rate is going up. This is today prior to writing this. I'm out of town for vacation but figured I'd call and inform them it would be my last month with them, because I didn't want to pay the increase, starting in June. Michael was very sarcastic throughout our conversation, and made it clear I'd need to show up in person if I wanted to cancel. He said, "Assuming you can't show up and cancel today, you'll need to pay the full months rent.". Obviously he knew I could not cancel in person, having mentioned I was in California for the week.. Additionally, I was already willing to pay the month to allow myself time to move my things elsewhere, so the guy was just trying to be confrontational at this point. In fact, the conversation became so unproductive, and I was so annoyed with Michael, I hung up because I couldn't listen to his voice any longer. While I obviously can't speak for the other locations, there is no real life scenario I would recommend this one to anybody. TLDR; They're your best bud when you pay to move in, but turn into one of those little gremlins you can't feed after midnight when you move out. read more

The property is nice enough but in a strange spot so getting in and out is a pain. Once inside, with the moving truck following us, we attempted to exit behind two other cars. We all went down the wrong isle with no way to get out but to all back up. They could use some signs. The bigger issue is the girl who works there, Jennifer. She seemed friendly when I went in to rent the unit and I was pleased when I left that day. However, two days later--moving day--I had the movers follow me with the loaded truck to my unit in order to drop off my items for storage. We had to take a couple of items off the truck to make way for unloading what was going into the unit. We were almost done and the movers were putting back the items that weren't for storage when the girl from the office comes wheeling up on her golf cart and without even a hello starts saying that there are steps to follow when moving out and what did I think I was doing! I was confused for a moment because even a child can remember a person they met 48 hours before but this chick was so hostile she didn't give me a chance to even give her my name! I said 'I'm moving into the unit' and she said 'no you aren't, you are loading the truck and that means you are moving out.' I explained that we needed to get the stuff out of the way but that I was, in fact, moving IN. At this point an apology would have sufficed but the girl continued on by saying 'I'm not blind and I see you loading the truck, that means you're moving out!' I was shocked at her rude and VERY hostile attitude and told her my name and that she had just rented to me two days before. All she said was 'o yeah, I think I remember the name.' No apology, no nothing. She drove off with out another word. It was such a bizzare and unpleasant experience that I recommend storing your items elsewhere. I also recommend Public Storage find someone who understands customer service and common sense to work there. read more

I don't appreciate when you are told of a price online and phone and you go to look at the storage and then you are hit with now the cost of a lock and then to buy insurance.I can't take a dollar out and say I get to move my stuff in because technically you can't.
