We went in Sat and found lots of rat droppings, a dead rat in our unit, and three scorpions! When we came back on Tuesday, the dead mouse was still in the hall. What good does it do to pay so much for indoor, climate controlled facilities?!

After StorageMart took over my storage facility, my belongings were damaged by rodents and my claim was denied based on agreements they say I accepted through continued payment--even though I never signed a contract with StorageMart. What made this even more frustrating is that they claim my tenancy was "grandfathered" when it benefits them, but they had no problem raising my rent. The inconsistency and lack of accountability throughout this process were incredibly disappointing. The customer service was just as bad. One employee actually told me to get a broom from the office and clean up the rodent feces in my own unit, even though the infestation wasn't my fault. On another visit during business hours, the office was locked while an employee sat inside and ignored me knocking until the manager, Kathy, arrived and unlocked the front door. Kathy was the only person who treated me with professionalism and respect. Based on my experience, I would not recommend StorageMart to anyone.I cannot recommend StorageMart based on my experience. If you're considering renting here--or at another StorageMart location--I encourage you to ask detailed questions about contracts, coverage, and how claims are handled before trusting them with your belongings. I have been shopping for 30 lb propane tanks and fills and found this shop to have the best product value. Tanks are currently $59, and propane is sold per gallon at the going rate, currently $3.50. (FYI: These 20 lb tanks hold 20lbs, not 17 or 15 like most tank rent/replace competition which usually charge $55 for first tank plus $20 fill charge, then $20 per filled replacement.) This U-haul 20 lb fill translates to about 4.5 gallons. You do the math... When I went I got a new tank and fill here yesterday, they only charged me $49 for the tank ($54 with tax) and when I got the fill (you buy and pay for the tank first, then get the fill outside as separate purchase), the manager said he'd charge only $2.88/gal since I had just bought the tank. Super, right!? Well, when he was running the payment on my card he said he "lied" - that it would be $2.75 instead!! Wow. So you do the math. Simply the best pricing for first tank and fill, and for future refills and great customer service. I don't expect this special rate for future fills, but I'll be getting any new tanks and all my fills there, and he's earned first shot at any future rental and storage needs!

The streets in our neighborhood barely allow for cars being parked on the curb with one car driving through at a time. This box is much wider than any car or truck on the road. Because of this our brand new Kia K5 was side swiped by an suv trying to avoid this box to his left hitting our car to the right. We tried speaking with someone the next day about this box parked on the street and the guy found it funny. This company is careless with their equipment, your better off getting your own storage.

However, my experience with YSP has been an exception to the latter. Ever since the first phone call when I set up my first two units with YSP, the staff has been exceptional in their help, advice and flexibility. I am now renting unit number five from them in my preparation to move abroad once again. They have always acted in ways that serve my best interests rather than only being concerned with their own needs as I have found other storage facilities often do. They are willing to go the extra mile to insure I want to use continue to use their facility. In my history with other storage facilities, the reverse of this attitude has often been my experience with the facility operators usually threatening the fact that they have waiting lists, yada, yada, yada. Almost forgot to mention that payments are done online and are easy to make. You really won't regret using Your Storage Place. Elray and Bill are tops in customer service and satisfaction. If there had been 20 stars, I would have given them that rating!!
