Public storage, rips people off. I opened a new contract through an on line special after closing out a previous one to save myself some money. The first contract went from less than 100$ a month to over 200$ in less than two years. Under the new contract I currently have it started at 105$ + 15$ for insurance, and just received notice that it will increase to 166$ in less than 4 months. Absolute rip off. I'd like someone from this company to explain why they feel it is ok to raise rates s drastically on someone that has never been late, missed a payment, or been any sort of problem. Is this how they treat all of their good customers? Petra is a great person but this is ridiculous. Absolutely zero stars for this place. . read more

DO NOT RENT SPACE HERE!!! Units are not weather tight. I had furniture ruined by dirt and water. Very expensive. Expect your rate to be jacked up 30% or more per year. Access is severely restricted. You can only get in 930-600 weekdays and 930-500 weekends. Very inconvenient. Units are not insulated like more modern facilities. Expect your stuff to bake in an oven July-October. And get wet and dirty the rest of the year? You are warned!! read more

Petra in particular went above and beyond for me during a crisis situation where I lost the keys to my storage unit and she came through so quick with such urgency for me. NOTE: I have moved out of this facility. Not climate-controlled, but rat-infested. No lights either, so you'll have to bring your own flashlights, lamps, and extension cords. At least there is a wall outlet. A drunk driver crashed into my unit months after a moved in, and it's been downhill from there. Not only did I lose a good chunk of my stuff, but my unit and the adjacent ones became infested with huge rats. These rats chewed through boxes, so I had to discard even more things due to rat feces, rat urine, and dusty remnants of whatever they gnawed their way through. It was disgusting. I went through two boxes of disposable gloves and masks, but still walked away with a nasty cough because I was inhaling so much bacteria. I essentially paid $120 a month to feed rodents and spiders with my personal belongings. On the bright side, Sonja was great. Too bad she doesn't work there anymore. read more

Moving from Benicia to Sacramento we needed a storage unit. Sarah C was extremely helpful I getting us into our storage. We needed a larger unit and even tho the site didn't show it, her knowledge of the facility allowed her to offer us a larger unit that hadn't made it to the site yet. Stay away from this place. Our locker was broken into and we've only been there 5 weeks. While talking to the office staff they tell us that the unit next to ours was also broken into and that they can't show us any footage. They took a lot of our belongings including a whole bucket of pictures and my kids hospital bags with all of their baby information. It's really sad that they can't offer any help. I also found out that a lot of the homeless have lockers there that they live out of. read more

This place is absolutely absurd and disgusting. I am a single parent of 3 and on a fixed budget. Today is the 27th of February and these people informed me today that my storage unit price will be increased by 40$. With only two days notice I'm expected to pay nearly 50$ more than I had budgeted and I was told that if I do not pay the new amount then not only will I be charged the 40$ but I will also be charged a 50$ late payment fee. This is the second time In 6 months that they have increased my payment. They say it's necessary to keep the "high standards" of the facility. This place has roaches and mice. I absolutely did not have either before I moved my belongings in and I have spoken to 2 other renters who have rodents and roaches now. read more

I have had my house in storage for a long time and this facility keeps raising the rent and recently placed a lien on my rental space even though I have been a faithful renter for a long time and have paid on time. Petra helped get the lien removed and has been most professional regarding the entire matter. I have had no problems in the past with this location. read more

Having never used a storage facility before, I was a little apprehensive about putting my things in storage for a few months. However, once I met the property manager at Public Storage at 3300 Northgate, I felt much more at ease. She was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to and answered any questions I had (and I had a lot!) about the process and the facility. The process of getting a unit was very quick and she made sure I felt comfortable with the process as we went along. I was also happy to see that they sold moving supplies, as i was so concerned with getting the unit, I had forgotten that I needed a few things until she mentioned them. That meant one less errand I had to run that day! Moving can be a hassle, but if you need to put some stuff in storage for a while, I would recommend Public Storage. Its relatively affordable, and a pretty easy process to get started. I don't plan on having my storage unit for very long, but if I need one again, I will go back to this location. read more

I tried to make an appointment to come and look at a storage, I called the number to come and check it out the lady told me they would show me around the storage and the manager would called to discuss details. Basically she calls me and tells me my move in date was the next day at 10:30 am, When I told her I was just calling to come look at it tomorrow not move my things in Ashley at the front desk was so rude! she never discuss my walk through details she says in this exact order "oooooooh, ok bye" and hangs up on me. I just though it was really rude. The woman I spoke to first was very professional and helpful not Ashley, really rude. read more

a big old storage space. i see public storage places all over, everywhere...but i never had actually been inside one until this past weekend. like a scary maze straight out of a horror movie, inside storage space is filled with rows and rows of small little spaces with garage doors that open to reveal who knows what. nice staff, though! read more

The spaces are kind of expensive for a 10x10 $118 + $22.00 reg fee plus the one month for $1 when you make an appointment over the 800 number . I could have went someplace just as nice with a better layout and cheaper . My until is through a small narrow hallway . Not much space to move wide furniture into . But it was convenient at the time . So the reason I leave a 4 star is because the customer service was WONDERFUL . Ben helped me and he was very nice and very informative . I have had my stuff in the storage facility for three years. I first visited my locker after years about three months ago, and found my furniture, my bedding and linens, almost everything ruined from rats. Everything was soaked in rat feces and urine. Almost nothing was savable. Most things I couldn't give to Goodwill. This place is a health hazard and the health department should be notified. We had to use face masks will moving things out. My mother vomited and was sick after the move. If I were you I would look elsewhere, or get your belongings out immediately. read more

She hires lazy people just like herself to help manage this location that she lives at !!! They demand that you keep your shed gate fully open so that everyone can see your private property, there are a TON of "nosy" storage tenants, that Love to peep at your stuff, and then go and talk to Daniele about what completely, and totally does not concern them. Daniele gives favoritism to certain tenants, allowing them to make a "Home" out of there units, then complains to you when you set up a bed in your own paid storage. She is a hypocrite. She will easily call the police on you while you are in your paid storage, as well as , when you are using the bathroom there. She will lie to the cops to have you physically harassed by them while you are in the bathroom. Daniele is the type of woman to write you a trespassing notice, and have you escorted out of the facility that you paid to be at, without first allowing you to remove ALL your property, or even finish the month, or even return your hard-earned money before Serving you a trespassing notice !! If you, the informed customer rents here , You will eventually have to write Daniele a demand for payment through Carol Miller Bicentennial Court in order to retrieve ALL your property upon leaving this garbage of a storage facility.
