I was just on the phone with a man who works with Public Storage in Rockwall Tx at the 205 location, to receive information on pricing. I have never spoken with a customer service representative who was more rude. At the beginning of the call when he "asked for my phone number in case we get disconnected", I politely declined to give him my number and was then told "well I have your caller ID". Throughout the phone call he was clearly trying to upcharge all of their units, was cryptic about availability, and would not accept the size unit I was inquiring about. By the end of the call when I did not wish to share my phone number, last name, nor email address, he hang up on me. Not impressed, and will not receive my business. read more

My husband and I had 3 units with the Public Storage in Rockwall Texas for over 9 months. We placed our move out date for the middle of the month. We received confirmation of the move out and the email said we would be told if we owed anything else or would get a refund. We always paid on the 1 of the month so we assumed we would get 1/2 month refund when we gave the keys back. NOPE, when we went to turn in the keys we were told you have to pay the entire month even if you move out in the middle. The credit is only if you move out in the 1st month! Be careful of this if you rent from them and don't try to move out anytime other than the end of a month. read more

DO NOT GO HERE OR ANY "PUBLIC STORAGE" ALTOGETHER. They will lure you in with a low monthly rent. Then, 2 to 3 month in, the rate goes back to regular rate. THEN, a couple more months, they'll raise the rent by 30%. It's ridiculous. I don't know how they stay in business. I'll just take my business elsewhere...SO DISHONEST. read more

I moved my stuff out of the unit, which I notified you I would be doing prior to move out and the lady at the office tells me that she cannot vacate the unit because I have to pay the month because I was not out on the 1st. I indeed was out on the 1st before midnight. It may have been a little bit after 9pm but I cleaned and swept my unit to make sure it was ready to go. But they want to charge me for every little thing they can get their greedy little hands on because I used the Trash can on the property. It's ridiculous dealing with y'all. What are we supposed to do, take our trash with us after see have swept and cleaned also. You charge and upcharge us enough while we rent your unit then we are not allowed to use the facility without even more charges. This has been the worst experience I have had using a storage facility ever. I'm about ready to blast my experience on any and all blogs and yelp and Facebook and whatever other social media platforms that I can use to bring attention to the public storage tactics and steer everyone I can to use the more mom and pop owned storages that work with you and allow you some resources they offer while you rent their units, instead of nickel and diming every step of the way. You made your money off of me more than enough just in the rent and continuous increases you applied to my unit, but that just wasn't enough, now you are trying to stick me with more charges and threatening to keep charging me monthly until they are paid. Well I obviously couldn't afford to keep the unit with you so what makes you think charging me more to move out of it is going to do besides cause creditors to come after me and ruin whatever credit I may have. You have your cleaned and empty unit ready to be rented to the next unfortunate consumer, why can't that be enough for y'all. Why must you make it so hard on people trying to struggle through this year already. You are greedy and your tactics are vindictive to the people you call customers. I don't know how y'all are able to feel good about a business that cares so little about what they are doing to people. Everyone is struggling this year with furloughs and health and rent for their homes and groceries on their tables and you have to make it hard to even get out from under an additional payment because of your greed. I hope it's all worth it for you. I do not have the money to pay you another dime, why do you think I moved my stuff out of storage. I can't afford the air that I'm breathing hardly due to shut downs and the pandemic. So I guess you will just have to keep charging me until they arrest me for not paying, I have nothing else to give. But, I bet you rent out that unit and still keep charging me and don't even think twice about it, that's what's so said about it. read more
