Unfortunately, an incident that occurred during their recent ground remodeling project has completely changed my view of this company. My RV was moved from its original spot to another location as part of their construction work. They have asked for my persmision to preform the task. During that move, my RV was damaged, resulting in thousands of dollars in repair costs. What has been most disappointing is not just the damage itself, but the way the situation was handled afterward. They didn't take any responsibililty becuase they asked me to sign a weaver. I made the mistake to think they are professional at what they do. BIG MISTAKE. I made multiple attempts to reach someone to discuss the issue and find a reasonable resolution. After several calls and emails, the only response I received was that I should file a claim with my own insurance, and the company refused to take any responsibility for the damage that occurred while my RV was under their care. After this experience, I decided to cancel my lease agreement. I had just paid for the upcoming month, and when I called to request a refund for the unused portion, the representative refused and simply stated that the termination date would be March 31 instead of April 9. After nearly three years as a paying customer, this response felt dismissive and extremely disappointing. Businesses make mistakes -- that happens. But how a company chooses to stand behind its customers when those mistakes occur is what defines their integrity. At this point, I am simply asking for fairness and accountability. I hope REC Nations leadership reviews this situation and considers reaching out to resolve the matter appropriately. Until then, I cannot recommend this facility based on my experience.

I have never spoken with a customer service representative who was more rude. At the beginning of the call when he "asked for my phone number in case we get disconnected", I politely declined to give him my number and was then told "well I have your caller ID". Throughout the phone call he was clearly trying to upcharge all of their units, was cryptic about availability, and would not accept the size unit I was inquiring about. By the end of the call when I did not wish to share my phone number, last name, nor email address, he hang up on me. Not impressed, and will not receive my business.

I'm posting this because I believe that Storage King, as a corporation, is taking advantage of…read morepeople by roping them into a contract under the guise of a great rental price, only to increase the rates dramatically within a couple of months. To be clear, I'm not saying that Storage King in Wylie, or the people who work there, are doing these things. In fact, I spoke to the division manager who made every effort to challenge a more than 100% increase in rental costs within a couple of months of us renting this unit, and I know that the local employees/management are NOT behind these things. Nowhere in my initial contract was I told that something was an "introductory/promotional rate" or that I was getting some sort of short-term deal. In fact, the only thing they mention is the right to increase rates, with a 30-day notice, which they did. My initial rate, in April of this year (2026), was $54.00 (this price did not include the insurance, which raised my rate to $68.00). Less than 2 months later, I get an email (May 28) stating that my rate is going from $54 a month to $127, an ENORMOUS increase. I am a disabled veteran with significant back and shoulder issues. I chose to come to Storage King because they had, apparently, good reviews and were conveniently located to my house. Now, because of this PREDATORY PRICING, I'm going to have to move all of my stuff out by the end of the month, likely aggravating my already chronic pain and physical issues, because they are intentionally deceptive and using supposed "economic" issues to drive these, well over 100% increases in rental rates. I would strongly encourage people to seek out other storage companies, including those that offer price guarantees, and not to take advantage of people. Again, to be clear, this is not a reflection of the local individuals who run this individual Storage King location; rather, it's an indictment of corporate management.

Cant say enough how refreshing it was to see someone face to face, to know someone is always there during office hours. Thomas, the manager at this facility immediately gave us peace of mind. we could tell he cares about good customer service. we even decided that paying double what the other facility charges was worth it to have him in our corner. He's amazing.

They offer auto-pay, they have good flexible hours (you can even call after hours to get access if it's critical), and their staff is extremely friendly & helpful. Great people, great facility, great prices, great local business!!
