I reached out to Extra Space Storage over a month ago when I knew I was going to need to move. From the first time I spoke with Lisa I was impressed with how great the customer service is. I reached out too early to lease a unit, but she still went over rates, policies and other information I'd need to know before scheduling a day to call me when it was closer to my actual move. She stayed on top of her communication with me (even when I was difficult to get a hold of) and we were able to get everything taken care of so I could lock in an awesome rate on a great sized unit. Lisa really is the nicest person and so incredibly helpful. I truly appreciate her bc I was all over the place when I first called, and she got me setup and ready to go with no problems. We just moved in to our unit today, but I have high hopes that everything will go well during the time we will be using the storage. read more

I booked this storage unit online. The prices were much better than similar units at other locations and the online rental process was very quick and simple. They left the lock in the unit so I was able to go whenever I had time to collect the lock and lock up the unit. The day we were moving stuff into our unit, Lisa came and introduced herself to us and let us know she was available if we needed anything, and also let us know about the app to open the gate from my phone which is way more convenient. I've never had a manager of a storage unit come out of the office to introduce themselves, and I really appreciated it! read more

I had a great experience at Extra Space on highway 66 in Garland. The facility is new and the lockers are clean. The reason I chose this Extra Space is because they have climate controlled lockers. Lisa is very helpful and got me the room I needed at a good rate. They also have the new style of cylinder lock that can not be cut because it is inside the door. read more

Horrible experience. Struggled to get my unit opened and then it wouldn't close. They are closed on Sunday but there was a box at the front to select a button for immediate help. No response and i even called a number to request to speak to the manager with no call back. Spoke to the manager today and all I got was a damn apology after wasting two hours trying to get my damn unit opened and closed. She said if you would've googled there was a number" well I did google and the instructions weren't specific. She didn't even give me a refund for the lock that didn't work. I have to go back and return it first! Thanks to Public Storage for being opened on a Sunday, I was able to lock my damn unit. read more

I had a minor issue making a reservation online, but after getting on the phone with Lisa there were no other issues really. She was incredibly helpful and the storage space was all ready to go. I had a working gate code and was able to start moving my stuff in the same day. Great customer service. And it is greatly appreciated, especially in these times when so many others are "cutting corners" in the customer service area. read more

Have my 24 camper trailer stored there. Went to check on it and upon driving to the "security gate, found the gate would not shut all the way. It was 12 inches from closing. Also the bars securing the gate from opening to the outside were bent. The Manager told me that they had several issues with vandalizim but did nothing to repair the gate. I brought him out to show him the gate. He had not seen the damaged gate in front of his office. Also. We received damage on our RV. Somebody drove past our RV and damaged the corner. Our RV barely fit in the end spot and extra space storage will do nothing about the damage. Will be moving our RV soon to a more secure facility. read more
