Compassion Movers came to our rescue, they had to come back with an engine lift after a couple of days but they got it lifted and mounted on the stand that it came with. They were reasonably and fairly priced and I was more than happy to support a locally owned moving business.

    I used this company on the recommendation of a friend without checking them out first. My move was…read moresupposed to happen in two parts on a saturday. By the end of the day I was told it would have to be Sunday instead. This created some significant problems but I was willing to work with them. On Sunday, I was told it was going to have to be moved to Tuesday. It just so happened that I was going to be out of town on Tuesday and couldn't receive the second part of the move. I was told that would be rescheduled at my convenience. The bulk of the move did actually happen on Tuesday. When the day came for the second part of the move to happen, which was only a bed and a grandfather clock, I got put off again, from Saturday to Sunday. And on Sunday, right at the end of the agreed-upon window, I got a call asking for more money to complete the job. I was informed that because of my inability to receive the second part of the move on Tuesday, I was going to have to pay more. No matter that I was available to receive it Saturday, Sunday, and even Monday if that had been an option. The delay was not due to any action on my part and was actually very stressful for me. Yet I was at fault for not being available on Tuesday at the second location. My big mistake was not reading enough reviews before hiring this company. Although they have some good reviews, and I have no doubt they can do a good job, several other people have reported having issues similar to what I experienced. Had I seen those accounts I probably would have looked for someone else to do the move. I do not recommend this company for your moving needs.

When I moved out of the unit at the end of the first week of June of this year, they refused to refund the balance of the month. The woman at the front desk just kept repeating, "we don't refund any portion of a month because the lease is month-to-month." Then why did you take my money for the two weeks of May when I started renting from you? She didn't even say "thank you for your business" when I left. Unfriendly staff, and a complete rip off if you leave any of your month unused. I should have kept my lock on the unit until the end of June so they couldn't make double the money on it. I hate this place, and you will save yourself headaches not to rent here. Many other places that are better AND NICER TO THEIR CUSTOMERS!

From the moment the guys arrived at our old home until the moment they unloaded and unwrapped the last piece of furniture at our new home I can say it was completely seamless, and we have a LOT of -ish! They packed items we hadn't packed with no hesitation or question. They went ABOVE & BEYOND making sure furniture was placed in the correct room, that it was positioned how we wanted it and even moved a few HEAVY items a few times just to make sure it was to our liking. Did I mention they took beds down AND set them up at the new house? Upstairs AND downstairs? The day was extremely long but they never showed any sign of being tired, they kept right on unloading, going up & down at BOTH homes too!!! Completely dishonest, unprofessional, and disrespectful from start to finish. I referred Donnie a long-distance move for my clients, and from the very beginning it was a mess. He rushed through the phone call, failed to gather basic and necessary information, and quoted my clients $1,500, which turned out to be wildly inaccurate. When the movers actually showed up, the price magically jumped to $2,300 -- and even after paying that inflated amount, they still didn't move everything. My clients were forced to rent a U-Haul themselves just to finish the move. Absolutely unacceptable. Communication was nonexistent. At pickup, the movers couldn't even give a rough estimate of when the items would be delivered. My clients' belongings were left in limbo for days, and it took countless phone calls just to get a vague update on where their items were and when they might arrive. This level of disorganization is shocking for a company that claims to be professional. On top of all that, Donnie personally put in writing that I would receive a referral fee. When I followed up to resolve the issue professionally, he completely dodged responsibility -- ignoring messages, blocking my calls, and refusing to communicate at all. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about his character and how this company operates. I was told my concerns were "escalated to customer service," yet I've heard absolutely nothing since. No follow-up. No accountability. No resolution. This company is misleading, unreliable, and operates with zero integrity. They bait customers with low pricing, change terms last minute, and disappear when problems arise.     When the movers arrived they backed into my mailbox and broke it, they also arrived with items in…read morethe truck...What should of been 2 hours ended up being 8 because the truck they bought was to small...at that point I should of turned the movers around but figured I would just pay for 2 additional hours to get it over with because everywhere else was to expensive but in the end I ended up paying close to what everybody else was charging in the first place...They broke my mirror to my brand new/still in the box bedroom set....They broke the cord on my new refrigerator...Their was a lot of things that happened with the movers that was beyond my control which caused the movers to have to stay an additional 4 hours...I refused to pay for more hours due to things that were not my fault/beyond my control and the owner and I had a descrepency about the situation but he didn't charge me for the extra hours but instead, made me pay for my own refrigerator cord that the movers broke and stated he would have the movers come by the next day to put the cord on, but they never showed and every time I called him about it, he kept giving me the "run around"/coming up with excuses on why the movers couldn't come back...The crew apologized for their mistakes and I asked them what they wanted to eat and purchased it for them to show them I appreciate them staying over time, even though it was beyond my control... But the owner is very untrustworthy and argumentative and I will never hire this company again...
