The library itself is all self-service based as you checkout your books using your digital library card and pick up the held books at the entrance which is placed based on alphabetical order of the first letter of your last name. Great collection of books for kids and adults. The only thing l wished they had more toys for kids in the play room, I find that some toys are missing some pieces and not well maintained but otherwise a great place to get your kids to spend some time with books.

Small local shops, tons of eateries and plenty of space to roam about. The festival layout was well thought out and extended down every main street. Loved supporting the local wineries and trying yummy wine. Definitely an area I'd return to for another festival, or lunch/dinner if I'm in the area.

Way before the pandemic and the popularity of open shopping areas instead of enclosed malls. Fairview Town Center has Always seemed like a strange layout to me. It has always been hard to tell what shops are in here and open. Unless you drive it regularly you just don't know . After an initial semi successful splash,it seems it's been all down hill. Multiple reasurants and shops have open and closed including the anchor Dillards. With the exception of the Glorias Latin Cuisine restaurant,I almost never come here.

In 2017, it underwent a 50 million dollar renovation, and was renamed Fairview Town Center. It's an outdoor mall, with both parking garages and close parking to each retailer, encouraging both quick stops and longer stays. I stopped by on a Wednesday to check it out, and eat in their modern food hall. It was unseasonably cold and blustery, so immediately regretted my idea of parking further away and walking around. Not many people were there, with a lot of outdoor parking sitting empty (I didn't check out their parking garage). The anchor stores are those from the previous century, with Macy announcing just today that they would be closing this Fairfield location.

The prices don't always seem like they are a bargain, so you really need to know what you're looking for and at what price you're willing to pay. There is definitely something for everyone. I was on a quest for finding a new Easter dress and hubby wanted to go to Columbia. There is a cute play area for the little kids and this visit I noticed a couple of food trucks that I had never seen before. This parking lot is a little wonky and not very easy to get in/out and around. Signage could be better as well. During the Fall/Christmas time it is definitely much more busy. We came midweek and during the day, so there was plenty of parking and it wasn't crowded at all.

All the parking lots have been filled in the middle with more stores. The parking situation is bad. The weird thing is, the stores are not that packed. That really tells me that parking is inadequate. There's no traffic control whatsoever. It's takes at least 20 minutes to pull out of your parking space and get to an exit to get on the surrounding roads. I hope that there are officers directing traffic and keeping pedestrians from getting hit by cars. Shopper beware! Not sure if it's worth the hassle.

It always seems loud in here so I wouldn't advise trying to get anything done where you need it to be quiet. I like that they have a drive-up book return too -- very convenient. This library does not participate with the Libby app -- not at the time of this writing -- so if you reserve an ebook, you'll need to download the app they do work with. They FINALLY got more parking added here -- it's been so tough to find parking but there's a long new section of spaces now.
