STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I got a unit for $79 on the 31st. 32 days later I went to pay the bill and it said I owed $200. I called to find out wth was going on and only got automated crap. The option to speak with the property manager, #4 just hangs up the call. The next day, I got an email stating all my property would be auctioned off in two weeks. At that point I'd had the unit for 33 days.  The woman that lives on the back of the property with her girlfriend is NEVER in the office so good luck if you need anything. The bathroom is never open - the ONE TIME that the onsite bathroom was actually open, two people were getting high and having sex in there. The tweakers in the area all share the code with eachother so a bunch of them come in there and don't even pay for a unit. I had rented a unit 2 years ago for 4 months and they raised the rent 3 times (double each time) I thought it might be different now, but live and learn. I asked at the beginning if the rate would stay at what I was quoted and the person lied to me and said yes. When I called their call center in the Phillipines or whatever, I said I was told the rate would not change. They said we don't have locked in rates. I said "So the person lied to me?" "That's all I can say sir"At this point some people need to contact the BBB like I did. read more

First, let us state that Donna, the on-site manager, is OUTSTANDING! She is very thoughtful, helpful, and understanding. She receives a 5-star review. However, Public Storage, as a company, is contractually misleading and greedy. READ YOUR ENTIRE CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING! Every 6 months, Public Storage automatically raised our storage rate by 28.9%. YES, that's 28.9%. They do this automatically every 6 months. One year ago, our rate $225.00/month. One year later we just received another 6 months' notice it will be raised again to $412.00. That is a 28.9% INCREASE EVERY 6 MONTHS. BEWARE - they do not inform you of these 6-month increases in the contract. read more

Facility is rat infested... rat droppings were in most units and I can only imagine the property damage they have caused. That being said, they systematically increase the rent by $50 every 6 months or so. I rented my unit beginning of 2022 for $99, and now a year later the unit is $196. Don't fall for those special prices... they don't last long. As soon as you move in, they will quickly add another $50 to the rent and so forth. The staff however are nice people... that's about the only thing this storage facility has going for it. Just stay away. read more

The manager, Donna, is kind and helpful. Once, she called me to remind me of payments before getting a late charge. Talk about going out of your way to help another. The place is always neat and clean. Definitely feel safe and my belongings secure. Donna is bound by company rules, so this part is about the company, not management: Within 2-3 years, I was paying double the rate I started with. Personally find that near criminal and cruel. A $10-25 up charge each year would be more like other places. Not $30-$50 every 5 months. Unfortunately had a car accident so it took me a year to recover before I could get the stuff out of there. Hence the minus one star. Good for short-term storage only. read more

I have had my furniture in secure care self storage in Escalon for 3 years while between houses. Recently I went in to move all of it out and found my couch completely destroyed by mice. My couch is covered in holes, feces, pee, hair and dirt all caused by mice. When we signed an agreement with secure care, I was told I HAD to also carry their insurance so that is what we did. When we found the damaged furniture and brought it to the staffs attention, we were told they would do nothing and to call the insurance provider. We called and were told they do not cover damage caused by rodents. Long story short, we have paid over $3,000 to store our belongings here over the last three years all for our rather expensive couch to be completely destroyed, with nothing but a "sorry" from the staff. If you do not want to pay for your belongings to be over-run and ruined by mice, I would NOT recommended storing your things here. read more

Who else lost their job due to this covid19? While else is struggling? Lost my job struggling to put food on my table for my family let alone pay my bill and storage. I've called and talked to the district manager for three weeks for any kind of answer! Finally I hear this morning there's NOTHING they can do to help! I wasn't asking for a free month or discount, just asking to not send my full 10×15 full with my house inside to auction! Best storage facility. They are very clean there. I had a large unit there for over a year and never had a problem. I felt like I never had to worry about my storage. I sold my home and needed a storage. Norma went out of her way to provide exceptional service. She help me to get the best rate and stayed after hours to make sure I would be able to access my unit after the office was closed. She repaired a broken light same day in the unit I rented so I would be able to see as I moved in that evening. She always greets me with a smile and makes me laugh. Unfortunately as with any storage unit you risk the chance of bugs! I rented the unit and had for about month and half, put very little stuff in it. I went one day to check and there were cockroaches in unit. Thankfully didnt move all my personal belongings in. read more

If I had the option I would give this place minus 10 stars I rented a storage here and purchased insurance and their "special safer lock" my unit was broke into and another lock was put on my unit? All of my belongings worth anything were stolen. I notified the police and was alerted that I was the 3rd report filed from this facility. All were broke into and another lock out on...... I strongly advise you not to store anything of value here. The $10 insurance I paid each month did nothing to compensate me for what I lost- not one penny!! read more

Corporate Profits are all that matter First of all this place is a dilapidated shack falling apart - There are no sprinklers overhead in case of fire - If You have an indoor unit in a hallway the light shuts off about every 10 minutes leaving you in total darkness (You may be in the middle of something important, they don't care) You must walk all the way down the hall to the entry way door to hit the light switch and turn the light back on as there are no motion detectors provided for that - The wood walls, ceiling, and concrete floors are cracked everywhere all over the place and adding new cracks daily - when it rains the driveway at this facility floods like a river, enjoy - The rooftop and side of building next to the grocery store have no security or cameras either - all the light fixtures have dead bulbs which were never replaced or were all turned off intentionally - You used to be able to move out before the 10th of the month and pay for only the days You were still in unit NOW, if You stay one day into the first of the month, the full month's rent is due (the depravity of their corporate greed has no bounds) - first my rent was raised 16 dollars a month - Now they are going to raise my rent an additional 23 dollars per month! - 3 reasons why I stayed here - Desirable convenient location, manager is a nice lady, and there is an outlet to plug into in the hallway - that is it - now with this drastic unjustified rent increase I shall be planning my move out - know what Your getting into - don't say I didn't tell You so read more

The customer service reps were cool, helpful and fast and set me up with a unit without any issues. I only have two minor concerns: my unit has kind of a janky door that's tough to operate, and the rain-water drainage is clogged so I'm a bit worried about mosquitoes in the standing water outside my unit. Public storage shows no loyalty. I was renting a small unit and I wanted to also rent a much larger unit. They were having a special where you pay only one dollar for the second month. However, since I had already a unit, they would not give me the special. They also wanted to charge me a $25 administration fee. The special was only for new renters . Since I already had a unit and was going to add a second one, I was being penalized. Therefore I did not rent the second unit and I am also moving out of the first unit into a Storage facility that appreciates your business. I even called corporate and they were very unfriendly about the situation and didn't really care if they had my business or not . Public storage is too big for their britches. They really don't care about customer service or Goodwill. I guess they figure they are big enough that they Don't half to accommodate their customers. read more

Recently rented a small storage unit. I'm a fan of the Public Storage website and was able to get quite a bit done on there. Checking in was a breeze with Donna, who was friendly and helpful. Facility seems secure enough, but quite a bit of tweakers on bikes noted in the area, but am confident all will go splendidly read more
