Nice staff could've been a little happier if they had more lock options, the $15 lock was a little pricey but Kandice and Natalie were nice.

My uncle also had units at this particular site for many years before too(until he switched to because it would be cheaper for him). Idk what the F*** is going on with this location this past year or so but they're really on some shit lately. In summer 2023 I moved my stuff to a much bigger unit than the tiny one that was intended to just be for a week or two in early 2020 until all the covid lockdowns started. And just like units I'd had with PS before, they increased my rent like $20/year, once a year, but at least it was consistently the same $ amount and again, just once a year. The repeated price increases is a big part of why I decided to go ahead and move my stuff to a bigger more cost effective unit, since the one that had started at less than $60/mo at the end of Feb 2020, was now costing $130/mo after the 2023 increase. Other reasons where that I just wanted and needed more space since my storage unit need had become more of a long term than originally intended when I packed the previous unit Tetris-style(floor to ceiling, wall to wall) just to utilize the smallest most cost effective unit at the time since it was meant to be very temporary, and now I wanted more space so my things could actually be accessible while being stored. The much bigger unit I found was only $40 more per month, $176, but significantly more space for the money. And there wasn't like some listed/stated deal about the price only being that pricing for a limited time like was the case for a couple others units(which is why I didn't choose those even if cheaper initially), so I was only expecting the usual annual increases. Fit my needs perfectly! Got everything moved from one unit to the other, and was very happy, and again, this was like June 2023. Now one thing I need to mention is that ever since the experience with getting switched to this newer unit at this same PS location, I learned that apparently they don't even keep the office open most of the time anymore. You have to call and arrange for them to be open before u can go there, and this didn't seem to be the case with another location nearby at the time. I found this odd since there's still a person living on-site 24/7 that's employed/working there, but aside from whatever other duties they can't have the office open between doing them? I bring this up because if the office isn't open then no one is in there during normal business hours to answer and return phone calls. Thats how I learned that a nearby PS location still does keep their office open because I ended up calling them instead just to get in communication with "my" location to get the ball rolling to get this new unit since I was having trouble getting in contact with "my"/this location. Ok, so by Nov 2023 I already got notified of my first price increase, and was basically the usual $20ish, from $176/'o to $208/mo like ok, no big deal, and I knew to then expect it again about the same time next year(previously the increases on my previous unit were in the spring). Then, come April 2024, right after I'd JUST had to move to a new home unexpectedly at the start of that month(so extra frustrating), I get another price increase notification that starting May 2024 my rent would be jumping up another $80!!! Like wtf?! I had NEVER experienced this with this storage company before in the nearly 20yrs of me renting units with them off and on. So now the unit I got at $176/months was now $285/mo in less than a year!! So I tried calling to find out if it was legit, if there was some sort of mistake or just what the reason was(if any), but of course that was a pain in itself to just get ahold of someone there. I'm pretty sure I ended up calling the other nearby location to have them notify "my" location to call me back since they hadn't after I left a couple or voicemails over a couple weeks(I try to be patient). Finally got a call back from the lady at this 44th St location but she wasn't able to really give me any answers at all or do anything about it. Fine, surely they won't increase it more for a while, I thought... I thought wrong, very wrong. By January of this year, 2025, I received another notification about them increasing my rent rate yet again. A $60 increase this time!! $344/mo starting Feb 1st!! So, in less than 1.5yrs, in barely over a year's time(like 14 months...) my rent has essentially DOUBLED in cost, and for what?!?!? First thing I did was went on their website to see if they're just jacking up all their prices, but no, they're all basically about the same prices as they were in 2023 when I got this unit. Same size unit as mine at this same location, listed at less than $200/mo. So why the fuck am I being charged nearly $350?!? (It's cutting off the rest of my review, but it's in the screenshots...)

Thanks Brandon for being so kind, patient and helpful. I appreciate you walking through the units…read moreto get me one I would not have trouble accessing.
