This Public Storage is safely and conveniently tucked adjacent to a business park. Very clean units and very accommodating management. Needed 6 months of storage to complete our 'downsizing', and it was totally a great experience. We could enter and exit at will. Management was always on site to assist. read more

This sign cheerfully says there is help inside, and that i can talk to a live agent from 6am-9pm. Only, there are no live agents. No one is here to help til tomorrow, if I make an appointment in advance. No one is here, and no one can come to fix the keys provided for the storage unit. No one answers the phone number. No one calls back. The doors are kept locked so I can't use the helpful machine inside to talk to a person. The call center is nowhere close to here and they can't contact locations either. This is a scam. I can't even get in to move my things out, which is now what I want to do. read more

Our unit was broken into and 20k worth of items were stolen, and it looked like every unit in our block had been broken into as well. This happened between Friday night and Saturday afternoon and Public Storage has still not reported it to the police, nor have they sent footage or photos. I called other Public Storage facilities and was told that this seemed unusual as usually the first thing to do with an apparent break in would be to report it to police. Reserved a unit. A "customer service" rep called while I was at work, so couldn't talk. I called back a few days later, came to learn that they don't like human interaction, like at Extra Space Storage (I've been a repeat customer with them). In the afternoon of the final day of my reservation I went to the address of the unit I reserved, used their horrible kiosk, entered my info, and the machine told me my reservation was no longer available, but there was a similar unit. So I rented it, paid for it, got my gate access and went to look at it. Found tha the light switch is broken. I will need the lights to work, so I left the unit unlocked for the electrician, and called customer service about the needed repair. Didn't get a call back (even though the previous two times I called them, I did get a call back). The next day, I went by the property again, and two employees were on site. I told them about the electrical problem which needs repair, and that I was leaving the unit unlocked to accommodate the electrician. They wrote down my information, told me I would get a phone call, and emails that would detail the repairs and credit for the revised move-in date. But no calls or emails happened. Four days later (today), still no email or call back, so I went by to see if the repair had been made. Nope. OK, it's Memorial Day, maybe tomorrow? Back home, I was on my computer, and a few hours later I get an email! WOW! Maybe they're taking action....? But no, the email says my move-out is complete, and I don't owe them any money. WHAT THE ACTUAL F***? I had just paid them the better part of $200, and never moved in, was expecting credit for the delay in moving in (up to 4 days credit so far), am getting zero communication from them and now it looks like they've taken my money. So I'm in the middle of a horrible experience with them. More will be revealed, I guess, but right now I just want my money back and will search for a better company to do business with. read more

Your stuff is not safe! On several occasions I saw other tenents meeting with police to discuss theft and break ins. There were always kick marks on the doors. My unit was broken into and I was not informed by the company. From the looks of my latch, it appeared that someone unsuccessfully attempted to break in, but it turns out that Public Storage just bent my latch back into place without telling me. Had I know, I could have made a claim on my renters insurance. By the time I found out items were missing, I had home owners insurance as my coverage, making the claim not worthwhile. They also jerk up your rates after the first month until they become untenable, though is is par for every storage facility. If you do rent here, move out and back in every year to cut your rates in half. read more

My unit was broke into along with the one across from me. Called the cops and they told me this storage facility gets a lot of break in because they don't have on site cameras. Management hasn't returned calls to me after I have left half dozen messages. Horrible place. I was lucky I took out about 10k of my items the weekend before or they would have stolen a vintage fully rebuilt motorcycle and a lot of really expensive items. They only got my tools. The manager that set us up with our unit, at the original unit at international drive, Cammie was awesome and helpful. Michelle was the opposite of helpful. She demanded we show up Thursday to swap the locks. I told her when we made the appointment that I only have one day off a week. She said she has to drive all the way over to the kiosk location, so be sure I'm ready to be there. We agreed on 3pm on said day. 3:04 she isn't there. Called the office. She had to look me up multiple times. She eventually hung up on me. A few minutes later she said I owed money and couldn't open my unit without being paid up, btw this is Sept. 1st now. I am not late, I am just due. So I paid my bill on the website while she drove 2 blocks in 10 minutes. She was already inconvenienced by having to drive over. She refused to take my confirmation number as proof of payment. What is the point of the confirmation number? I showed her my balance on my account as paid through October. I showed my bank balance with the payment. I showed her the confirmation number for the payment but she wouldn't just honor 3 part authentication. Michelle is the worst customer service representative. Despite telling Michelle that I had paid online she kept telling me the kiosk only took cash. Ok. The kiosk is not part of this. Michelle wouldn't accept a confirmation number as proof of payment, nor would she take my bank transfer as payment, nor would she just slow down and talk to us as people. She opporated at sprinting speed. 6 minutes after she left the payment processed. But she couldn't calm down. I've known meth users that are nice people but Michelle needs to slow it down if the system is ~45 minutes from payment to the bill being updated. Michelle needs to accept 3 different proofs of payment as proof of payment, instead of telling me she has another property with people waiting. She called me over a week ago and insisted we meet at this time and day. I was inconvenienced, and she forgot about it. I had to call her and remind her after the fact. She was acting annoyed and inconvenienced from the start. Michelle ruined the 2 years we've had with this system. She single-handedly ruined this. Michelle chased our car as we drove away, continuing to shout at us. Customer service doesn't involve the customer service person literally running after the car screaming as we fled. She chased our car off the property and made us fear for our future business there. We weren't treated as customers, nor were we offered any service. I had 3 different proofs of payment. Michelle made me wait 20 minutes after our appointment time to tell me I owed money. I didn't owe money when we made the appointment a week ago, the kiosk wouldn't let me pay because "autopay" so I paid online. She asked "do you have anything with the date on it?" Yes. My bank statement showed the date and time. The online statement showed I was paid up. I gave a confirmation number for the payment. Michelle needs retraining on customer service. read more

I only had the storage unit for less than five months but it was broken into twice. However they always called and told us and put a lock on it immediately and was able to check the cameras. We had insurance so there was never any major issues and luckily no one stole any of our stuff. I am only doing this review because the employee Lynn personally handed me a paper with the information on it and asked me to do so. When was amazing she was very helpful and very friendly and then overall great representative of the company. The review paper needs an update it doesn't have relevant/updated information or even mention yelp. read more

I had my stuff in storage for less than a year and in the last month somebody managed to get in a steal my stuff that I had been storing for an upcoming move. The staff are very nice, but I'd be cautious about using this place, just because there's been noted thefts and they aren't putting enough security tools to catch these jerks. read more

He bent the side wood and opened the door without opening my lock. The next door also got broken into. They did not even offer refund for the month i NEVER used. There is no one at any of the public storages to accept money for my unit that I am required to pay for at the location because my mother passed away and they will not accept payment on line or over the phone. Attempted to rent a unit in October. Gate code never worked on move-in day - no manager on site, office closed. Went somewhere else with all my stuff... left voicemails requesting assistance, then demanding cancellation, but they kept charging me and I never got a call back. Set a move-out date online, but it seems to have been ignored. They don't pick up the phone when I call .. am I unlucky with timing, or is this place just downright unmanaged? They seem OK with trying to charge me every month anyway for a unit I can't even access. I removed payment info and called my bank to make sure they don't steal another penny from me. read more

I rented a storage here and the whole entire time my storage code hasnt worked. It's been been seven days and it's difficult. I live 15 miles away and two cars driving there daily has been a hazel just to hear the code doesn't work. That's a lot of gas. I rented an extra storage unit due to the staff not wanting to let me in the gate. ( I needed to unload my car because I needed to transport my two children to sports events that night and needed my car ) because she had customer's to work with. I guess she forgot I was a paying customer. She gladly sold me another storage unit and gladly walked to a unit and then yet another unit but yet wouldnt let me get access to my paid for storage unit. anyway the new gate code works just fine for the more expensive unit. Other than that some of the staff is nice and the location is awesome. Nice and clean. Although my one unit light isn't working and we let staff know about it and nothing has been done. But other then those small issues It's a nice place. read more

If I could give a negative star review for this rip-off business I would. In fewer than 6 years my rent has doubled!!!! They raise the rent EVERY SINGLE YEAR. After a $30 rent increase in July 2017 I just received notice of a $45 dollar rent increase this July (2018). DO NOT BE ENTICED by their new renter come ons. As soon as they get you in there, the rent increases start coming time after time after time. This company is straight up a bunch of rotten crooks taking advantage of their customers, many of whom don't currently have an option. But one thing is for sure...the minute I can get out of there I'm NEVER doing business with these jerks again. read more

I really appreciated that! Louise helped me out at the Milwaukie office she was great, explained everything I needed to know. Our home flooded and we had to move on very short notice. Louise, at Public Storage was very helpful. She helped us pick out the correct size storage unit and gave us all the information we needed. She was very patient explaining the guidelines for using the storage facilities and gave us the best available rate. She also helped with all the packing materials and let us know which packages were the best deal. While the whole moving experience was not pleasant, Louise made it much easier.
