I went to remove my items after they catching them adding miscellaneous line items to my bill by changing my autopay. When I caught them, instead of returning the funds as promised they just hiked my rent $60 additional dollars then credited what they stole toward an increase of the same amount in rent making it all LEGAL.. Well, it's not.. This is insanity and predatory. Being paid up a month I decided to move. Easy right?? When I opened my unit after only 3 months I found EVERYTHING was destroyed. Rats the size of cats were nesting in all my tubs and mattresses. Everything, even the electronics are destroyed. The rates even chewed up the solid wood dining set. I demanded ALL 5 months of rent be refunded. I even had their 'insurance', but no policy info has been exchanged after several requests. I cannot touch anything in my unit. It is a complete bio hazard, not to mention I am highly allergic to mice and rats. Even if I weren't, what I witnessed is enough to call the health department and BBB. They need to be shut down. I was told by their own management they reserved the right to change my auto-billing and take 'whatever' out of my bank without my authorization. That is criminal. Who told them this? Super low IQ people. I have made numerous requests to refund and help clear the unit. Instead, they have locked me out. As a local business owner and community advocate it's my duty to my community to cancel these type businesses. I can't imagine how many things of others have been destroyed. After reading the reviews it goes without question they are very aware. My heart goes out to everyone who lost their stuff due to these fraudsters... I will shut them down. BET

That alone is super shady and crooked in my opinion, but what I am most upset about is what happened today and how Jeff handled it(he's not a nice guy). I set up auto pay and have been on time every month My last payment was $113, but has since gone up to $130. When I moved here my dad was dying of small cell lung carcinoma and has since passed so being very traumatic and chaotic of a year i forgot to update my phone and email with storage king which I will admit was my bad. Apparently last month when they went to run the card it said it was lost or stolen according to them (it wasn't and in fact they managed to charge the same lost/stolen card today on May 1st). They said they had tried to contact me several times, but i no longer have that phone or email. Fast forward today I have been charge for $327 for two months of storage. I called storage king, talked to some very nasty woman who was zero help and connected me with Jeff the manager who has ZERO empathy for his clients and when I explained the situation basically just told me too bad so sad, he can't reverse the late fees as they had tried contacting me. Not one ounce of understanding and as a business owner myself I find this incredibly disappointing. This company is shady, Jeff is a crook and once you have your stuff moved in they will continue to up the price for no real reason other then they know most people won't go through the hassle of moving. Okay...this is more a review of the crappy owner than the move team. Well... maybe a little of…read moreboth. We used this company to move from my apartment to our house several days ago. The movers were kind but not really a team. They worked together because it was a job and not because they necessarily understood moving furniture. Everything was fine until the end. I left to actually go to the bank and get the crew a tip. I didn't have cash on me. When I returned they had finished me bong the last couple pieces. I tipped them all generously and off they went. We departed as well to take care of some business. Upon returning my wife noticed that they had put several large deep scratches into the side of a very nice console of ours. I immediately called the owner and tried to text him. No response either way. Once I got him on the phone, he claimed the other number was not a cellphone and I had to email him. I did just that and he claimed he would call me on Monday so we can discuss. I sent him a couple pictures and waited until Monday...NO CALL! I called him...twice...three times....NO RESPONSE! My phone life called...ONCE AGAIN IGNORED! I will never recommend this company to anyone. Not to mention I got cheated on cost. I was quoted &650 with $100 deposit. When I got the bill it was an additional $200 added. The owner claimed that the deposit was not part of the billing...WHAT!!??? People stay away from this sorry side show and let them go out of business. They deserve it!
