Seems they are not the local mover that I was searching for to move a half dozen pieces of…read morefurniture and appliances in the Pensacola area. They're apparently based out of North Carolina...so that's a bit disappointing. The guys showed up bright and early this morning and told me they were going to pick up 5 items (it was supposed to be 6) and this was the first indication of trouble ahead. The person that seemed in charge this morning didn't think his truck could get down the lane due to tree limbs and hanging telephone lines which is understandable, safety first right? So we walked down to the box truck (exactly the same size and design as the trucks that delivered our stuff in the first place, what a coincidence!) and I noticed that one lane was completely passible, but he said he couldn't bring the truck down and his boss was trying to call me. His boss (in North Carolina) asked me if there was a U-Haul nearby, so that I could rent a truck to ferry the furniture and appliances from the house to the truck. I replied that I wasn't aware of a U-Haul anywhere nearby. And as the appliances were upright full sized refrigerators, I didn't think that was going to be doable, and might remove the need for the big truck in the first place, so I told him that I didn't think we could do business. So his guys left. Hope they had a great breakfast. Too bad they didn't have a smaller box van with a lift gate, and too bad the men that showed up had a Can Don't attitude. As no money was exchanged there's no harm, no foul, but I have been hearing about this all day from my wife...oh well, I'll know better next time.

They listened to what we wanted cardboard to the littlest of things that needed special attention to. ( extra wrapping ) Cameron Boss man was easy to talk to and he was also very polite. All of the guys were courteous and big on manners. The team worked for 12 hours straight into the evening to get it all packed up and into our Matson container. There was just no stopping these guys till the container was all loaded up and locked. Kudos to Cameron for handpicking his A -Team. You won't find a better packing team around.

Both of them came in with a bright energy and moving straps ready to go. They luckily brought extra moving blankets since we didn't have enough. Great conversationalist even while they work. We had them pack the big items, so ignore our poor stacking of boxes afterwards. Nothing moving an inch from the 500+mile drive. We were also so happy they were affordable and amazed still at the bright energy. They didn't charge a travel fee that most movers charge so they are the needle in the haystack and we feel like we hit the pot of gold when we found and hired them. All the neat stacking was done by them. I didn't have a chance to capture the beautiful work they did before we unpacked a bit of the truck. Thank you so much for everything!

I appreciate the ability to self manage! Everything was handled with care and the only reason I am minus one star is due to the dumping ground room. I instructed the great room to be where certain things went as well as anything not labeled as it's the most central room in the house. However, I imagined it would be stacked and organized but it was used as a dumping ground. Lol I'm slowly working through it but its a disaster. Additionally, a lot of boxes were left on their sides instead of top or bottom.. I cannot figure out why, I'm just glad they didn't burst open before I found them and re-stacked them. This was only a move in, unloading boxes/furniture from a storage POD into a home, quick work.

I'm the type to just shut the door and pretend the clutter and disorganized mess isn't there while it only continues to get worse. After only my first session, I was blown away at the difference it made in not just my sons room, but my mental health as well. They do not waste any time whatsoever during your sessions and go over and beyond your expectations. If you don't have it, they can supply it, if you need it moved, they'll move it, and if something needs to be put together, they'll do that as well, and even haul off things that need to be thrown away or donated! It's without a doubt worth every dollar. Now my son doesn't complain when having to put his things away because he can finally see what the end result looks like and how much it pays off. Not to mention how good it feels! If you're in a bind clutter-wise or always feeling like you just need more room..you might not! McIntosh Moving moved me from Pensacola Florida to Charleston SC. It was not a good experience…read more They did pack the rental truck very well and worked hard loading, wrapping and unloading. Nothing was delivered missing or broken. However, McIntosh Moving was late for every appointment time that he promised, late for the first meeting to quote, late arriving to load, hours late arriving at my new location. He never initiated a call saying he was running late, I always had to call him. I seriously regret contracting to use this company. I wanted to help a fellow veteran with his business. When they were offloading Ben complained that they had to move the furniture up 3 flights of stairs and insinuated that they should receive additional payment, however, this was not stated on the original quote. He also informed me that he needed the last part of the payment in cash. This was Sunday evening, but we made a special trip to an ATM in a new city to accommodate him. No company of this type should be expected to receive payments in cash, and if so, say that up front and provide the payer a receipt. The customer should not have to write out a receipt themselves. My recommendation is that McIntosh Moving concentrate on insuring that their customers are kept informed. The customer should not have to track down the whereabouts of their household goods. Also, provide the customer a written quote of your promised services and hold to your agreements and time schedules. I would be very hesitant to recommend this company.
