I currently have a unit and I went to drop some stuff off today and noticed rat shit and nesting everywhere and I look up and the ceiling was boarded up with obvious signs of something falling down, and I received absolutely no communication from the facility that this occurred in my unit and every single possession that I had in there is covered in rat feces and rat urine thousands of dollars just down the drain and then they tried to make me pay for a new unit. Management was utterly useless. I'm going to have to go back tomorrow to speak to someone higher up and get this solved. I'm out memories possessions that belong to dead relatives that I can never get back because they're obviously dead. Not to mention the emotional distress that I am now receiving because of this, if they had given me a call that some thing had occurred I could've possibly have saved some items and when I went inside to ask them if they had anything in their system regarding it she outright said no, no one said anything to them. There was nothing in the system about anything wrong with my unit this is blatant negligence and completely ridiculous. read more

When I got there today I stopped in the office and got some guidance on where to find my unit. the gal was helpful and friendly and the place smelled clean and looked great. I got around back and the area around the elevators was also clean. I appreciated them having carts making it easier for me to get my stuff upstairs. it was just a smooth seedless transaction. o concerns about the place and in a nice location. read more

This is the worse place I have ever come across, the young lady at the desk was nice but assigned me a parking spot that was already taken. So I did not fine this out until the day I was to move in. So when I canceled they told me the $30 dollar admin fee was non refundable. Ok but why do I have to pay for a service I never received, called the customer care line and got a rude person who just would not listen. I agree with Greg B. I have a 10x10 unit, have been there for years. I like the facility. The staff is nice and helpful. But, my unit price has jumped up to $163/mo not including tax. I can get the same size inside unit around the corner for $77! AND on the Public Storage website, I can obtain a new unit for $88. I called to ask for a rate decrease for these reasons, because ultimately if I leave, they will be replacing me with a person paying $88 anyway, so why not just give the rate to a loyal customer, and they came down a whopping $13 to $150. After at LEAST 15 calls, we still have not had anything resolved. My mom reserved a storage unit for Sunday. When we got there at 3:15 with a 26' U-HAUL, there was no one there even though they were supposed to be open until 5:00pm. We waited an hour and a half while calling anyone we could. We talked to multiple people and left several messages for the supervisor. We never got a call back. We did not have a code to get in to unload the truck, therefore we had to pay for an extra day for the U-HAUL rental. Not to mention my mom and brother-in-law both had to take a day off work to unload on a Monday when it should have been finished on Sunday. Since we had to get the truck unloaded as soon as possible the next day, we booked a reservation at a different storage unit. The LEAST they could do is pay for a day of the U-HAUL rental, not to mention the 2 days of vacation time they both had to use to take Monday off work. We are extremely upset with how everything has been handled (or hasn't been) and will continue to let everyone know how poor Public Storage's customer service is until this matter is resolved. read more

No beef with the local office, but the company itself? Never again...Avoid Public Storage at all costs. What they don't tell you is that while you might get a great rate to start, they will start increasing it on you. Without notice. I even talked to a person on the phone who said "since we only rent month to month we can increase your rent at any time." And they will. I have rented storage units from other companies and never had that. The rate I got when I signed up was the rate I kept. With Public Storage both units I rent went up after about 5 months (rented at different times). I never got any notice from them. Their response? "Oh well, sorry" read more

Oh, don't get me wrong here, I was ALWAYS punctual with payment before the 1st of every month BUT, since PS's "merger/acquisition/buyout" or whatever Wall Street is calling it these days, the continuous rate increases at about every 6 months is getting out of hand due to corporate greed. Before Jan 2016, my rate was $122/month, Jan 1, 2016 it jumped to $133.90 & beginning tomorrow July 1, 2016 my payment would've been $145 & change (and these are just examples in the past 12 months). Seeing a pattern here? I finished moving out today to a nearby competitor, same size unit & conditions/with a $2000 upgrade to my insurance for, wait for it... $55 LESS/month than PS! I've never had any complaints about the staff but this company is turning into a heartless gold digger FAST! I've heard other stories from various tenants in the past week & well, I'll let them tell you, if they dare, about certain possible health & property risks. I wish I could give negative stars.
