June 21st, rented a climate controlled unit (but after paying found out the AC unit was broken and unit location harbored mold, mildew, &a suffocating atmosphere), from who I didn't know at the time was property manager Ebony Thomas.Her demeanor & disposition was short, extremely rude & discourteous but because of the urgency & time restraint me & my family were in bc of eviction, I concluded I'd just take this matter up w/her supervisor. Ebony initially attempted to overcharge me several times but i showed her my online rate which needed to be honored. With a poor attitude, she reluctantly went w/ what I showed & I purchased the mandatory 15/mo -5K insurance. Heavy rain hit as we moved but we cleared the moving truck that night. A lot of sorting was left to do in the 10x10&hallway. Daily, we were there for countless hours, and each day Ebony observed us and our belongings. I ensured that I effectively communicated with her regarding the constant sorting & moving wholly into the unit.June 24th- I call customer service and speak with Shannon to file a complaint and retrieve manager and/or supervisor's name. The sole name I was provided was Lenssa. June 25th, Sunday -I worked again until gate closing hours of 9pm. I had to leave by then because Ebony and systematic messages were informing me of the after hours departures I had been having. The very next day, June 26th me and children arrived at Public Storage.Saw Ebony at the dumpster near the gate & communicated w/her.After arriving down into our unit area we immediately noticed our belongings that were left in the hallway were completely gone! Not an item in sight!! I hurriedly ran to elevator- got into the car &searched for Ebony to ask her the whereabouts of me and my family's belongings. She wasn't at the dumpster nor all the way in the front office; as her car was now gone. Devastated,we try to make sense of this situation.Tuesday the 27th,Still no answers; as now I've been told by Tammy that Ebony is on vacation for the next 5 days. Tammy states that Ebony's "inventory" of our belongings is notated in the computer but fails to indicate where our belongings are. She states "that's odd, I've never seen a situation like this before-this isn't protocol." I also notice on my account that I've been charged a $250 "abandonment" fee. I ask for Ebony's last name, as well as regional and district bosses contact info.Tammy denies knowing and being able to provide Ebony's last name.She telephoned Lenssa Johnson (district), per my request. Lenssa refuses to speak with me but only says she'll contact me another time. I make multiple phone calls to Lenssa& regional mgr Jessica Baker. I return the very next day- still no answer on ANYTHING! I didn't even have an attempt of communication reply from either 2 managers for three days. I only spoke with Lenssa because I consistently went to Public Storage where Craig telephoned her & let her know I was there. Lenssa claimed she'd call me but phoned store location almost an hour later, asking Craig was I still there. I spoke w/her then.I explained the situation which she already knew. I asked her about the "abandonment" fee (which she removed), security cameras which property states they have & are blatantly visible, my belongings, and to contact Ebony. Lenssa stated no cameras worked except for 2 entry & exit point cameras. I asked to view that but she stated I'd have to seek authorities for that but said something strangely odd- "I looked at the cameras though, and I didn't see anyone taking your things in or out." I inquired how do you know what my belongings look like. I firmly expressed to her that I believe that they're running a scheme here and adamantly asserted she contact Ebony immediately but all four times- Lenssa refused to call Ebony only telling me that I'd have to wait & she'd speak with her upon her return and policy is not to call employees on their off days. Lenssa instructed me to file a claim w/insurance. All of my children's belongings...gaming consoles, bikes, scooter, dolls, shoes, clothes, yearbooks, letters frm teachers, ALL of my military documentation, combat information, classified Federal Govt documents,bank account info, passport, work identification, Social Security cards, All photos, shoes,writings & publishing materials, jewelry, and household items were in this detail of items in which Ebony stole from us. I filed a police report. Spoke w/Lt. Piper who multiple days later telephoned the property, &questioned Ebony. Per Ebony's reported statement on July 6, to Lt. Piper, "The property in the hallway was thrown away after they tried to reach the owner for a week." -"If there were any further questions, her dm Johnson could be reached at(provided tel number)."I told the officer, I had not even had the unit for a week & absolutely NO ONE had reached out to me. Trash is picked up every Tues between 10-1230-trash man assuredly said he'd not seen our belongings which wldve garnered his attn. read more

They had us in a unit with no light working. We moved out days ago and the front desk person DID NOT mark us as moved out. When we first signed up, an employee canceled our unit by mistake...it cost us extra money to reestablish, even though it was their mistake. We have been out for almost a week and they never closed our unit. We have had to jump thru hoops to get it closed. read more

The best part of this place is their employee Angelica. She was like an Angel because these jerk movers left all my belongings outside!!!! I rented a storage unit at 2514 E Piedmont Rd and vacated on February 28th around 5:45 PM just before closing. The property person said they would check my storage unit in the morning and for me to take my lock off. Well I got billed for the following month of March. I went back to the property on Sunday, March 8th and after reviewing my records I was told they see the last entry was at 5:55 PM on February 28th. I would be contacted about aa refund. Here I am today without a refund. I phoned back in and referred to the corporate office and only given the name Lenssa at 770-516-3834. I called the number which the directory accepts last name or leave a voicemail after the beep. Well, I was not given Lenssa last name nor there was any beep. So a very strong caution when vacating, make sure the person checks the same day and that you receive an email confirming. read more

Public Storage is about getting your money, every cent of it and nothing less. Once you sign up and move in it is just a matter of time until they raise your rent. Of course they know how difficult it is to move so they are calculating in their price increases. On the unit I just canceled on 1/28/2022, they continued to charge us an additional $15 monthly for "insurance" despite us telling them to cancel the charge. Yes I was late....however, they put their own lock on the slide portion of the door (making it impossible for me to access the unit) so why cut off my lock? If I can give a -1000 ranking to this place, I would. This branch of public storage has been a nightmare to deal with. After only a few months. (4?), the rate went from $140 to $170. I was put in touch with a supervisor who approved lowering down the price to $140 again. They convinced me I can keep the storage for the old rate and not have to empty it out. As it turns out, I was only given a credit but they keep the same $170 rate. I was about to book a flight to GA to empty the unit but cancelled it. Now they are charging me at the jacked-up price. I have other units in other branches in GA. But this branch in Piedmont Road, Marietta, GA 30062 has been an utter nightmare- misleading, dishonest communications and unreliable managers. Stay away, and avoid like a plague. Wasted so much of my time talking to these people. read more

I used Public Storage at 2514E Piedmont Rd. Marietta. It was climate controlled. Well. It wasn't. All my belongings had mold on them. When I called and complained I was told they hadn't changed their filters. When we moved out months later they still hadn't changed them. Everything smelled like mold wet and damp. I was out of state so going there regularly wasn't something I can do. They promised me to keep me updated on the filters but never did. Then we left 5 item when we moved out. They wanted an additional $75. Told them I wasn't payment. Don't rent here. Your belongings aren't safe. read more

This is by far the WORSE experience in my life !! I located to Georgia in January by February my furniture, clothes and son's toys were ruined and wet due to flooding of the unit I'm in. I have NO FURNITURE clothes toys nothing i literally have to start over and replace things my lap tops TVs and all electronics were completely molded and mildewed . The employee at the unit told me the filter had not been changed in five years and that my unit floods when it rains ! On top of this my son got bronchitis from inhaling the mold in . I am livid . I contact the storage unit and they inform me i haven't had the insurance long enough for it to help me . And there's nothing they can do ! I can assure you i didn't move to Georgia with mold nor did my son have bronchitis when we relocated here ! The insensitive ness and lack of care from this company is digesting ! Save your money !!this company doesn't care I'm paying almost 200 for mold and my unit was climate control!! Check the pictures out .i seriously need some direction to find some legit legal help to assist with this. I wish I could give this place a 0!! The whole downstairs has mold, and just about all of my things were ruin--my bed, table, clothes, and family heirloom all trash. Items you can not replace! I went from a full 7.5x10 to leaving out with three boxes and a couple of pictures. I lied to multiple times about my claim, which Celeste has never filed. She has also stated that I will not get anything from the damage and how Public Storage does not pay black people. I staggered times, but the worker was always out of the office. They added extra fees to my card since they had the number, lied about it, so I had to go to corporate to correct it and get my money back. Corporate apologized. Then they put one of their locks on my unit for nonpayment, even though the mistake was there's. When I wanted to go into the office to get their lock off, they were out of the office for an hour and a half leaving me out of luck and waiting for help. Corporate apologized again. Staff is rude and out to rip you off, not help you. DON'T DO IT - go somewhere else. Anywhere else would be better. If negative 5 stars was a choice, that's what I'd give them. read more

They made it very easy to move in, however, they made me buy contents insurance which I did not need and it has been nearly impossible to cancel the insurance. I am authorized user, their corp office would not speak with me.These people love to screw with you and your money. They drilled our lock, no phone calls. District manager said our mailbox on phone was full COMPLETE LIAR..We always have paid and their late fees. Today I asked for a new lock and District manager to basicly told me call a locksmith next time..guys a real asshole like the manager. They play by their own corporate rules and love to screw ya any way they can. We drove four hours to find out our lock had been drilled out..NO CALLS. They wont do a dam thing to help you..make your life miserable, you wanna pay your bill on their APP good luck does not work, talk to a rep to pay? 20 dollars..huge money pit from hell.
