This is the door that, Mike, says that he saw nothing wrong. As of this day (8/11/2019) it has still not been repaired.

I am posting this review on this day, August 8, 2019, as a revision to my previous reviews of this particular Public Storage location at 5941 Venice Blvd. in Los Angeles. My storage space was broken into again almost two weeks ago, and the door has not been fixed. I have made a police report, and they are doing a full investigation this time. Today I spoke with ,Mike, the person I mentioned in my last review regarding the massive break in last October, to ask when my door would be fixed. At that point he said he did not see anything wrong with my door. Please scroll to the very bottom to see photos. When the apolice came by again two days ago they were surprised to see that my door was still broken, and said that it should have been fixed right away. When I realized my space had been broken into again, and that out of 400 spaces it being the only one I felt it was in retaliation. After pointing this out to the manager mysteriously another unit on the forth floor was found to have been broken into the next day. As of based on what was said to me by Mike I feel stronger than ever that retaliation is what is going on. Today in response to me asking Mike about fixing my door, this is what he said, "Oh you mean the lock was cut like you did when you did that massive break in!" His accusation leaves no doubt in my mind that there is something sinister going on here. This man is a very dangerous person to this business and to the customers. I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he will say and do anything to hurt me. I am afraid of him, and I am leaving this message as a protection if something should happen to me. I have done nothing to deserve this harassment. His manager at the building even told me that Mike told her to follow me around whenever I come there. He is a bully who loves to lie and use scare tactics to control others.I find him very dangerous. Public Storage review: October 2018 I am writing this review due to all the harassment I have experienced st Public Storage. A few months ago I wrote a review regarding the elevator not working for several months. I have attached that review here. This time I am writing this review under duress regarding a video I published. On Labor Day (October 8, 2018) I arrived at this Public Storage location to find a massive break in had occurred. I pulled out my phone and video taped most of the the third floor where cut locks lay randomly everywhere. Even at this time which was in October the video shows me taking the stairs because the elevator did not work. It had been out since July 9, 2018. I received a missed call message yesterday (November 27, 2018) from the manager at Public Storage. When I called her back we spoke regarding my payment of extra fees that had been added on, and then she said, "Hold on Mike wants to talk to you." I asked for what, but by that time he had gotten on the phone and proceeded to tell me that he was evicting me for posting the break in video to You Tube because it showed the "Public Storage" logo. That was very untrue. The video has no logos, and it was posted mainly so others that I knew could see if their unit had been broken into. I went to the Public Storage office yesterday to see Mike. He was there. When I asked him about what he said regarding evicting me he started raising his voice in a way that felt like he was trying to provoke me to do the same. He also had no idea that before I went in I had already spoken with one of my attorneys about this. All I said to Mike was that since he said he was evicting me, then I needed that in writing. I truly feel that this along with other things that have been said and done to me are retaliation, harassment, and a miss use of his position. He loves to use scare tactics to control any one that he feels is inferior to himself.He knows if he harasses and threatens enough this will cause those people to leave. That is how he problem solves. As a tenant I am entitled to what I am paying for. How dare you threaten me in any way! My attorney and I are waiting.

UPDATE: there were bugs coming from the ceiling; I found (what looks like) urine and feces on the ground and on my furniture. I'm so glad almost everything had been wrapped in plastic by my movers. The manager was missing for TWO during business hours. She literally left and I couldn't close my account. I had to call corporate AND reach out on Twitter to have someone reach the manager. See pics below. Also, I must say this: This facility is NOT safe. I think that there are people who live in the unit that are homeless. My unit was on the second level, B079. I hadn't been there in a while so I forgot where it was located. After some twist and turns I saw a dirty shopping cart filled with clothes and odd items, and take out food wrappers next to it. It was like a shopping cart you would see a homeless take around on the street. Now, I had got there when the gates open at 6 AM, and my mom and I were the only two in the parking lot so we saw everyone arrive from that time to 2PM when I left. That shopping cart had been there that night. That food was still fresh. That's terrifying. Finally, a woman was there at the same time I was and showed me her broken lock. Apparently someone had gone into the facility and cut all the locks to one area of the storage unit. She was also packing her car and closing her account. Avoid at all costs. Glad to be done of that unsafe, unkept place.

Found out today why the gate was left open. The motor has been broken for 3 days (still not fixed) so the gate has been left open since then. Removed all of my belonging and requesting a refund!

And I get to keep my lock?!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This storage company has the worst customer service I've ever…read moredealt with. Rude, dismissive, and totally unprofessional. I guess I missed a single payment for the FIRST time. I was on auto-pay, so there really shouldn't have been any reason my payment was missed. It was clearly a system error or oversight on their end because when I went into their dashboard and clicked "retry payment" with the card on file, it processed just fine. I wasn't even notified of the missed payment until after their supposed "grace period" had passed -- and that's when the mess started. They sent an email explicitly stating that no late fee would be applied if I paid that day. I paid that day. They charged me anyway and then claimed the cutoff was actually the day before. When I asked why they sent out a misleading email, I didn't ask for a refund -- just a basic explanation. Instead, I got snarky, defensive replies via text. No accountability at all. To make it worse, they claimed they couldn't do anything unless I proved the date and time of the email they themselves sent -- as if I was making it up. Insulting, especially since I wasn't even asking for a refund, just clarity. After I forwarded the exact email back to them, clearly showing the timestamp and wording, their response was basically, "Yeah, it says that... but too bad." Only then did they suddenly produce a log of emails -- including the one they claimed I had to prove -- and introduced a completely new explanation about a "cutoff date" and failed payment attempts that had never been mentioned before. They just kept shifting the story instead of owning the mistake. The facility is just as bad. I'm at the one in mid-city, off Wilshire. Their app never works for building access. I couldn't even get into my unit for three weeks because their lock was broken, and since there's no one on site, I had no way of getting in. When I finally reached someone, they acted like I should be understanding because "they were working on it." but couldn't give me a date it would be fix and you better believe I was still paying with no access. But when it's their turn to be flexible -- not a chance. The building isn't weather-tight (yes, despite it being inside an office building! it's still musty), and the locks barely function. Moving in or out takes forever because there's one elevator for at least a dozen floors and you have to share it. It makes moving in extremely difficult and time consuming. Bottom line: they make mistakes, gaslight you when you call it out, and treat customers like a burden. Store your things literally anywhere else. Don't let their move in pricing specials bait you.

Terrible! I was given an appointment day to view the location. I took the day off work and then was…read moretold the day was no available anymore. So I said its fine I will just go to another place. 3 weeks later im sent a move in day text. I called and said I never saw the property, nor do I have the address so how Can I be moving in. I told the representative I would just rather cancel. Now a month later I am charged 90 dollars and sent messages to move in my stuff. I already found a new storage location. I have been calling to be reimbursed and they all keep giving me the run around. Scam
